We bring in - in every kind of stadium: ice hockey, basketball, volleyball, football,.. - the passion, the chants, the flags,.. the match is on the field, the show is the crowd. And it's simply amazing and funny as hell. Bring this with your friends next time in the stadium. You'll see: it's contagious. All will follow.. but remember: passion is fire! ;-)

The firsts European video is from a Greek basketball team named Aris and believe this is the picture of EVERY SINGLE game, yes here in Greece this happens every time
imagine being there. Its way more intense than a football game on a stadium. This is indoors, so its crazy loud, everybody's hyped and pumped. Its hard to describe the atmosphere there
Because there is a lot of history in Europe, it transcends sports. Wars, conflicts, uprisings, riots, territories, politics and even religion it's all part of the sport. So you grow passion, love and hatred from your childhood. Sports aren't just sports in Europe and SA, it's life. Let me give you an example. For instance the rivalry between Glasgow Rangers and Celtic in Scotland is rooted in a divide of views in politics, religion and their relationship with Ireland. Or with let's say Liverpool FC, they strongly dislike the Monarchy...or SS Lazio from Italy were/are Nazis. Barcelona want autonomy whereas Madrid/Spain are a monarchy etc. It's like that across all of Europe, not to mention the wars in the past. Clubs hate each other even if they are from different countries...and friendships exist as well between cluba from different countries. Amd it is passed down from generation to generation. Also what will help the US is to integrate a relegation/promotion system in sports, that way the stakes are high each year and you will see passion from the fans AND players will hundredfold.
8:56 LOL! That's the point! To support your team and discourage other team 😂 In EU it's a religion also we're not pussies to be offended by some jokes or singing and we don't be running to our lawyers screaming that it's not fair 😁🤷♀
it's simple, in the U.S sport is something they watch, here in Europe it is a way of life, our identity, our flesh and blood belong to our teams, and they belong to us, it's a full member of our families. That's the difference.
In USA, you get huge stadium and everything, but in Europe it's passion, BRO! They are crazy! Look at the football stadium! (what you're calling soccer)! Now, you will understand the pressure, the American players get when they come playing in Europe! It's madness! 😂👍✌️🎸🇫🇷
Could the great American NBA stars ever play with such an atmosphere in the stands? I don't think so. Europeans, on the other hand, have no problem playing in the NBA. Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2019 and 2020 and Serbian Nikola Jokić in 2021 and 2022 are the mvps of the last 4 years.
@@jovanjorgovan23 You are right about Jokić, but I wanted to point out that Europeans can play without problems in the NBA, while Americans could not play under such pressure as in a match Partizan vs Red Star or Panathinaikos vs Olympiacos, Aris vs PAOK etc ... Greetings from Romania
To your question about chanting distracting the players: Yes but that's kinda the point. Your team gets fired up and the opposing side is just playing around a 130 dB loud crowd against them.
„We got the wave“ 😂😂😂 it’s hilarious! You have no clue as an American: you should watch a live football (soccer) game in England eg: these chants, fireworks, atmosphere is daily business for us 😜🤘
The prem has No atmosphere anymore because of corporations. Im sure championship still has atmosphere still tho, but really who cares if you dont have a team there
Last clip is Panathinaikos vs Barcelona. I don't know if I spelled the Greeks right but I don't care. I'm a Swede that in Greece support Olympiakos and Aris.
With all due respect Greek brother that was a video of Red Star Belgrade when the floor was shaking. Partizan matches are no different. You've got Oly and Pan and there's fener, efes and galata in Turkey. If you want an atmosphere you go to see those teams.
In reference to red and white fans for which you had to take down your earphones: It's not in Turkey, this is Red Star from Serbia, Belgrade. And don't wonder if noise would have been any louder if we scored, because this was the loudest point of cheering. Point was to mute the Euroleague anthem which plays before every game, and was playing at that point. I guess we succeeded, as you couldn't hear the anthem by a long shot. Also note this game was played in Belgrade Arena which has capacity of around 20000 people and was full to the brim. Red Star main playground was Pionir Hall which has capacity of only around 8000, but makes much bigger noise and shakes more too, due to stands being much more narrow and closer to field. True, this bigger arena is much more comfortable for both players and fans in terms of space and ventilation, but in Pionir you would feel the real deal.
In US games are games. In Europe games are the ancient translation of wars. Cities are still "at war" through football and other sports. Countries vs countries etc.
The two first European clips. It's hate derby in Thessaloniki. Aris vs PAOK.

Let's be honest, this type of celebration can be found in Europe, South America, Africa, and the Middle East. In the USA, if you make noise, you end up in jail. For most of us, It is passion, not a business. I have been to several sports on several stadiums/courts, and I never left disappointed. I like some Arab African chants, very political against their governments. The lyrics are touching af.
I know at least one pregame song that I think some crowds across the pond would use to get their energy level up even higher....the same song that was used for Greece's journey through the 1987 European Basketball Championships, which was 'The Final Countdown' by EUROPE. =)

imagine being there.
