@@TheMissendenFlyer Thanks for the welcome. Just a curiosity question. Do Triumph no longer make the smaller engine bikes such as the Tiger 90 350 or the Tiger 100 500. The modern bikes all seem to be larger capacity engines ie 1200cc.

Had to go to the dealership to pick up my plate at the weekend and, as usual pop over to the Triumph section to look at the T 100/120’s but was immediately drawn over to this bike. Absolutely gorgeous.

It's an absolutely perfect looking motorcycle and hopefully has the sound and some kick to match. I've already been in talks with my local dealer who has one on the way. There's a good chance I may be taking it home :)
Had a go on one the other week. Nice bike but the power delivery is a bit on/off, whereas a Street Triple is super smooth. I know in part that is the difference in engine type, but I’ve ridden other twins with smoother power delivery. Maybe it was just the bike I rode???
Aloha TMF - greetings from Hawaii. Been waiting for this one. Excellent review as always! And congratulations on the breaking the 110K subscriber milestone.
Nice bike, and if I hadn’t bought my Z900RS last March, this would be my second choice. (Z900RS still first choice though!). One thing though, what’s with all these parallel twins going for the V-twin sound. It’s become so common, and I think Triumph should have stuck with the snarl of the ‘60s Meriden Triumphs with their 360° cranks. The extra vibration could be tuned out with the balancer shafts I’m sure.
TMF can I ask if it was your money and after riding both triumph speed twin and BMW RnineT which one would you put your money on to buy??. Another great video again mate 👌
@@mickmouse3513 So you must be about 117 right now ? Congratulations ! Give a couple of years and some will appear as used models, maybe it'll be a bit more affordable then . I'd like the Norton V4 sports bike , but they're £44K , and they've sold all the 250 they're going to make, so this side of winning the lottery and paying someone who's already got one I'm never going to have one of those ! Mind you with my ability I doubt I'd be able to ride it any quicker than a Speed Twin :)
Love the review, the wife has approved an upgrade and I'll be ordering. 1 Question - how does it compare to Kawasaki's z900rs, this was top of the list until they announced this. I do recall you saying the kwaka was your new favourite retro. Has the new speed twin changed your mind Missenden Flyer?
Thanks TMF! This is the bike review I have been waiting for this winter! Am looking to add a bike to the garage this spring. Can’t wait till the weather breaks and I can get out on some test rides. This bike is definitely on the short list! Peace!
Great review as usual! I see a speed twin at the excel last weekend. I was surprised at how small they actually are. I have a street twin and it really is no difference in size. Yes the speed twin has a bigger more powerful engine, but I don't think that's enough for me to make the upgrade. I am perfectly happy with my Street Twin 👌👌👌👌
Good short review. Took the words out of my mouth: if I was in the market... If the Speed Twin had been around when I chose my T120. The lighter bike appeals, but I’m left wondering if the quality and spec of the T120 is higher, so too the T120 holding it’s resale value. This bike looks ideal for the odd local blast. Not quite as pretty as the T120 IMHO, not cheap either.
Just went for a test ride an hour ago at a dealership test ride day. It’s a compact bike with plenty of usable power, though obviously not in the superbike range. Everything about it is as you said. I take back earlier on when I said that the exhaust should sound like the old Meriden Triumphs, the one on this bike does sound good, though it did pop and bang a bit on the over run. There seemed to be a bit of vibration through the fuel tank, but not unpleasant. I’m comparing it to my Z900RS though, which is super smooth. If I wanted a parallel twin I’d buy it, but I like my Z900RS too much.
Definitely my favorite of the Triumph retro range. Great review TMF! I spoke with a chap from Triumph USA and his opinion was that this is the “sleeper” of their range.
Largely. The pistons get crusty and won't retract all the way. That has in the past lead to the rear brake pads dragging. Just cleaning the gunk off gets them working again. When I change pads then I lube the pistons too.@@Mikey__R
@@MightyWiggus hmm. Would a more regular squirt of brake cleaner mitigate the crust buildup, do you think? I'm new to all of this and learning from everyone else who's been in the game far longer.
Great review as always. I'm selling my Street Scrambler (nearly sold I think/hope) and have ordered a grey Speed Twin. I got lucky as my local dealership has a cancelled order coming in in mid May. SOOOOO excited.
REALLY value your opinion! So a if you had to choose right now, and based on what you know and think as of today question? The BMW R Nine T standard, Triumph Speed Twin, or a Triumph T-120? Realize we`re all different, have different needs and desires ...just an opinion. Or ...as I assume, you can`t really go wrong with any of them? Thanks, and cheers!
Great review and what an utterly gorgeous bike (although I'd personally go for it in the red). I think this has just pushed the new 900 Street Scrambler off the top spot on my Triumph wish list. My only gripe with Triumph is that they're increasingly going down the BMW route of listing a meaningless headline price and then making you pay extra for all the nice bits.
Great review as usual. Thanks! I test rode the r nine T and Z900RS recently and shall be riding this soon. Looking to replace my street triple. Many great choices in the neo-classic segment. For me the inimitable boxer engine note may be the tie breaker although the buttery smoothness and design of the Z900RS are very tempting.
Really an outstanding review. I am not looking for too many specs other than HP, torque and weight. I am more interested in how much fun it is to ride, listen to, accelerate, clutch lightness in traffic and seat comfort. Also would like to know if you would spend your own money on one. I think you did buy one later though.
I know a really old review, but a great all the same, in fact so good and you series on the Speed Twin, I am after one myself. So you are costing me money! lol Hope to meet you at the ABR fest 2023
I had a 900cc Bonnie in 2011, loved her to bits but she was underpowered and under suspended. Bought a Tiger 800 and have loved it since, but this is very tempting. Thanks
This video is my "Never clicked a video so fast" video. I've been waiting for your review. I agree with you on the point between the Thruxton and the T120. I test rode both and I love the Thruxton's handling and the engine. When i rode the T120, i did enjoy the bike but i felt that the engine was a bit lacking. I get the point of the T120 vs Thruxton. But I always thought it would be a nice custom idea to either get T120 and put Thruxton engine in it, or get Thruxton and replace it's parts with t120 tank and handlebars, but that would probably cost a lot of money. Then Triumph announced this bike and i was like YES, YES!!!. Can't wait for it to reach our shores. Greetings from South Africa
Just yesterday I went to a large regional motorcycle show here in Massachusetts. I went specifically to see the new Triumph line up. Unfortunately, Triumph was the only manufacturer not present. Everyone one else was there including Aprilia, BMW, KTM, Indian, Harley, and all the Japanese makes. I wonder why Triumph didn't bother. Anyway, thanks to your review I got a taste of the new bike and now I really want to see it in person.
Pardon my comment, I purchased my silver Speed Twin today in San Diego, Ca. I pick it up tomorrow morning and head to Palomar Mountain for it's maiden voyage.
At last I recognise the roads you were driving on. My girlfriend lives in Hemel (Or Leverstock Green when she's wanting to be posh). Anyway. Once the PCP is up on my BMW S1000R I will be looking at something like this Speed Twin. Keep up the good work.
Hi TMF, great video! And since lots of people are asking, have you thought about doing comparison video of all the modern retros? Hearing your thoughts and conclusion should make for an interesting video of different style! Another idea maybe having collaboration with another RUclipsr in the video to bounce ideas off in the comparison. Like collaboration video with Views from the Man's Cave would be epic!
Really interesting review, I currently have a 675 Street triple r, which I find really comfortable...having rode it down to Venice last September via, fluella, grimsel, furka, stelvio, gavia mountain passes...with the kriega US bag system...not a bad touring machine....after your observations and likening the riding position to that of a street triple,,,,I can see a little triple to my local dealer coming up very soon...once again a great “real world” review....many thanks
What a thoroughly professionally produced first riding impression. I think you have now secured a USP in this regard, at least, in the UK. I agree that it is rather hard to buy a bad new bike; it is something of a golden period. I was also going to ask the same question as Andy Allen as I own one of the first top of the range RnineT. Which Triumph retro (of all the many they produce) would you choose, if any, over the BMW?
Thanks for the kind words David - tough one...as I also love the Kawasaki Z900RS!! It would be between the R9T Scrambler, Triumph Scrambler (not ridden the 1200 yet) and the Kawa currently - but I'm eagerly awaiting more news on the new Triumph Rocket which looks incredible.....
Hey TMF you've put me in a dilemma now I test rode the T120 Black last year and was thinking of getting one to keep my Tiger sport company but after your excellent review I'm going have to test the Street Twin now thanks a bunch 😂😂 great review as always 👌
Great review, good it goes as well as it looks. Really looking forward to your Scrambler XE review, do you have to take your own step ladder or is there one at the dealers?
Excellent first review Flyer! Thank you. Not keen on LED lights on retro bikes (there not really retro are they) but Triumph insists on installing them on there demo bikes??! The V&H’s sound great (like Predator Pros), wonder if they’re fit the T120? No heated grips no biggie as you get fab brakes 👍🏻 All in all could be a T120 upgrade winner... especially not having to clean those wire wheels!! Two questions: Does that short rear fender look like it will bolt straight on to a T120? and does a little green idiot light stay on all the time when the headlight (led) is on ‘turn off’ when you switch to dipped beam? Thanks
Im really lovin' your vids in HD Mr Flyer, this one was great. Can't believe when you got off for the walk around at how dirty the bikes get in ol' Blighty! No wonder you've got an OCD issue! Strewth, i'm really appreciative now of our dry climate in oz. I wash my bikes once every 10 rides. Blighty, appears it needs a wash every ride. Nice review as usual, I like how the old style bike is more into the modern era now. Triumph really do try to throw all the modern stuff at their bikes. That dash from a distance reminds me of a Tourbillion watch, something like a Richard Mille. Nice. I really like the sound of the engine. Sounded much more bigger than what it was. Cheers groover ;-)
I haven't washed my now redundant ( I passed the test!) learner CB125R since I got it last September ! Mind you if I now get a Speed Twin or Street Twin , I might wash that more regularly !
Great review as ever . A monster engine no doubt and absolutely beautifully designed and finished . But the pricing !! £10500 for basic £10800 for a decent paint job The bike as ridden must be nearer £12K and non adjustable forks and only only preload in rear . Triumph I’m sorry that’s just not good enough for British riders on British roads . You are gonna price away many sales. When you look at the competition you’ve gotta really want one . If you had to have Just one bike to buy TMF and 12k to spend , would you buy this one ? Sadly I don’t think I would .
Interesting take Andy. I was thinking it was a steal after watching 44 teeth's review. They're retailing for $12800 US which is pretty close to Sportster pricing, and no doubt this is a better bike (I've owned a couple Sportsters) but I feel like they're somewhat comparable. The idea of trading in my Speed triple towards one of these even entered my mind. Maybe I'm just itching for spring.
I disagree that "that’s just not good enough for British riders on British roads". I've test ridden this Speed Twin, and the non-adjustable front fork is just fine for anyone of average weight - most people don't adjust the fork and rear suspension anyway.
Peter Hatfield Most people if the suspension is harsh will try and dial it out surely . You don’t pay 11k and not wanna ride it cos it tries to break your wrists . Also most people aren’t average weight . 11.5 st They are sprung for an “average weight” who may or may not take a pillion or may or may not take luggage . They are designed not to fail . They are probably oversprung and under damped as most most cheap OE suspension is . The fact that they are non adjustable other than preload is unacceptable imo . If you’ve ever ridden a properly set up bike for you (F & R) there’s a world of difference. My point is in this price range the suspension below average .
Damn that’s a gorgeous bike. Ok. One last question. You’ve really helped. I am strongly considering the street twin. I am a new rider in terms of license but have solid experience riding. Could I go for the speed twin and in first few weeks ride in rain. I really feel I’d be fine on it. Of course I’d demo them both. Thanks TMF for your great articulated and entertaining reviews. They really help.
I would strongly recomend against it - go with the Street Twin to start with (loads of grunt from the 900cc motor) - make the Speed Twin your second bike....
I picked up my Speed Twin Friday in Brisbane Queensland, rode the bike home. Two and a half hours on the seat is so uncomfortable. Everything else is fantastic . Was thinking about a gel pad off eBay might help.
Verry nice review but cant decide between this or the standard scrambler 1200 have you rode this to? Is there allot difference in the engine feel and handling, the thing about the scrambler that anoys me is the heat coming from the exhaust on your knees
I love it, but why oh why do they have to put such a small tank on them? Petrol stations out here can be a fair distance apart and I'd like a minimum range of 300ks. Would a Thruxton tank and seat fit on it do you think?
If you had to choose one bike would it be the speed twin or the street triple 675r ? Love all your reviews and your Chanel mate! Sending love from Australia.
@@TheMissendenFlyer yes it does ;) sweet. It looks like an awesome all round. Do it all bike for city and spirited rides. Bye bye street triple! I’m about to do the same I think. Thanks for the reply
Mr Flyer.. the spot where you pulled in to do your walk round video.. is it near Tring? I swear i passed it on the way to pick a car up from BMW in tring recently.. a very nice place indeed. I only recognized it off your videos
Great review but shame about the picture quality. I’ll stick with my T120 for looks, comfort and heated grips though, plus it’s torque suits me fine. I must say I put mine into rain mode for heavy town traffic to smooth things out and that might work on this as well.
Hi TMF, ref. Picture quality. Basically it appears to me that anything moving towards your camera ie, road, trees, foliage etc seem to go blocky and fuzzy whereas the handlebars, clocks and your hands that are a constant distance are pin sharp. I think that I’ve mentioned this before but can’t remember if it was when you upgraded your GoPro. Apologies for being picky, your vids are still a must watch in my opinion. Cheers.
So main difference between this and Thruxton - handlebars and fairing? Sign of aging I'm looking fondly at bikes with fairings, heated grips and seats. 34C Melbourne, Australia today bit chilly.
Love the bike since the first time I saw it, however i would definitely put a higher handlebar on it so i could change the driving position for more comfortable one.
Another great review TMF. So which would you have, this one or the Kawi Z900RS? BTW, Can't wait for you to get your hands on the new Triumph 1200 Scrambler with the 21" front.
Great looking bike, thanks for the review. Maybe its just my personal taste, but at the Speed Twin's price point I think spoke wheels would be a nice standard feature.
Great review as ever, I've never been a fan of the Thruxton but the Speed Twin looks great and seems just as good fun as the Street Triple, I'd seriously consider it as my next bike.
@TMF Would you upgrade from a Street Twin to this? BTW, love seeing you riding around my old stomping ground - used to live at the top of Potten End Hill by the egg farm...
I'm liking the look of this. Sounds lovely aswell but the only thing I would change would be to put wire spoked wheels on. I wonder if Triumph would put wheels from a Thruxton or whatever on?
TheMissendenFlyer any chance of giving the RS cafe racer a test ride, know it’s not exactly your cup of tea, but such a cool looking bike. Really fancy one. 👍🏍
You might find this odd for someone to say, Flyer. I really don't mind seeing you ride dirty machines, and I'll tell you why. It gives potential buyers a perspective on how your motorcycle will look dirty and were it gets itself dirty. Hahaha. I know its odd to say, but for me it works! Love the Speed Twin. Great bike.
Great review (as usual). Shame about the lack of heated grips and cruise control as standard (although admittedly it’s not a cruiser). Presumably both are available as Triumph options?
I have a 2019 speedy and love it ..I also know that you loved the speedy but why did you prefer the speed twin over the Speedmaster. I’m thinking of trading in my Speedmaster do you think this would make a better touring bike with a screen fitted......
MISSENDENFLYER! Thank you so much for this video! In the coming week, I have a crisis... Speed Twin, or T120 (Diamond special edition). I have been torn for a month! Question: What would be your thoughts on taking this on a multi-hundred mile trek to national parks and such to motorcycle camp with the wife? I'd fit temporary soft luggage to it. Essentially I'd want something to blast around on the weekends on twistie mountain roads, while ALSO being comfortable on a multi-hundred mile trek around here (the Utah, USA terrain, so desert and high altitude mountain roads). T120 or Speed Twin... such a hard decision. What do you think?

Great review, looking to purchase my first bike. I was considering the street twin but I feel I would grow out of it too quickly and want to upgrade to either this or the street triple. New rider friendly? I know all the roads your ride!!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yes they do look good. I've spent as much as I can currently. Maybe they'll get changed later . Guess I'll have to be careful with the throttle and maybe leave it in rain mode !
"Yeah, ya need that slightly forward seat angle, 'cause it helps ya hold on to the thing..." Love it! Classic TMF! Fantastic review as usual, this was one I was waiting for. Do you feel it is a bike one could ride for longer day trips (over 3 hours of riding)?
Hehe wouldn't be a TMF review without a white van :-) Great looking bike but for me if I was in the market for this type of machine I am thinking I would love the Z900RS more. Maybe I need to ride the R9T too, thanks for the inspiration :-)
Can’t help but think an R model with fully adjustable forks and RSDs would be a nice addition to the line up on this thing. Took one for a quick spin to sample the motor in lieu of an available Scrambler 1200 and it’s a seriously nice bit of kit as is.

@The Rockall Times . Norton have gone bust a few times. Looks like they're making yet another comeback under new management !
Difficult to say - it’s a close call and I need more time on the Kwak!
I reckon it’ll fly off the shelves.....
Just bought a 2018 Thruxton R last weekend. A fantastic deal to clear old stock!
They put the rear "caliper at the bottom so it gets all the crud in it" on my '07 Tiger too. I have to clean and lube it every year.
Even some off road bikes do that. Can just see the caliper getting taken off when something catches on it.
When you say clean and lube, do you mean completely disassemble and scrub inside and out?
Largely. The pistons get crusty and won't retract all the way. That has in the past lead to the rear brake pads dragging. Just cleaning the gunk off gets them working again. When I change pads then I lube the pistons too.@@Mikey__R
@@chrisredfield3240 Ewww. That doesn't sound very smart.
Congratulations!
A great classic looking bike. The review was well informed. Well done Mr Flyer.
Great review, as always. I'm considering one of these and you answered most of my questions about the bike.
Nice looking gloves - what are they?
They look like cowboys gloves...yaa hoo
They’re my Gold Tops iirc
Thanks!
So you are costing me money! lol
Hope to meet you at the ABR fest 2023
Yes do come and say hello if you see me and Mrs Flyer wandering about.....which you will....
I had a 900cc Bonnie in 2011, loved her to bits but she was underpowered and under suspended. Bought a Tiger 800 and have loved it since, but this is very tempting. Thanks
Completely different animal to the older 900cc bonnies...
Lovely engine note. Triumph have really got their act together.
Great vid as always. Nice looking bike. Where are the gloves from? They’re ace!
They’re from Gold Top and are indeed ace....
Greetings back!
Excellent bike, i want one and totally agree with you on the brake reservoir thing, i don't think they should fit stuff like that on quality bikes.
I may be a lone voice but the brake reservoir doesn't bother me.
TMF! Thank you so much for export review!! Much appreciated! Will send you vid of my test ride! From Miami!!!😉😎
Very nice bike indeed sir!..... could I ask what info was on the partial digital displays on the twin clocks?...
Gear indicator, trips, fuel, mpg, riding mode, clock ... may have left some out.
Pardon my comment, I purchased my silver Speed Twin today in San Diego, Ca. I pick it up tomorrow morning and head to Palomar Mountain for it's maiden voyage.
Congratulations! Enjoy your ride out in beautiful California....
At last I recognise the roads you were driving on. My girlfriend lives in Hemel (Or Leverstock Green when she's wanting to be posh). Anyway. Once the PCP is up on my BMW S1000R I will be looking at something like this Speed Twin. Keep up the good work.
Very cool!
Not had a bike for a few years now,,my last was a Speed Triple 1050😍 enjoying your reviews thank you 😊
Love that 1050 triple!
"In fact i've already felt the traction control kick in a little bit" heart thumping
Nice,we should all have a Triumph in our garage✌️
I agree!
Sorry!
Great review, good it goes as well as it looks.
Really looking forward to your Scrambler XE review, do you have to take your own step ladder or is there one at the dealers?
:0)
Thanks
Can’t remember....
£10500 for basic
£10800 for a decent paint job
The bike as ridden must be nearer £12K and non adjustable forks and only only preload in rear .
No probably not....
Peter Hatfield
Most people if the suspension is harsh will try and dial it out surely . You don’t pay 11k and not wanna ride it cos it tries to break your wrists . Also most people aren’t average weight . 11.5 st
They are sprung for an “average weight” who may or may not take a pillion or may or may not take luggage .
@@TheMissendenFlyer ok. Sounds smart. Thank you TMF. cobalt blue street twin it is.
I picked up my Speed Twin Friday in Brisbane Queensland, rode the bike home. Two and a half hours on the seat is so uncomfortable. Everything else is fantastic . Was thinking about a gel pad off eBay might help.
Oh dear, sorry to hear that!!
Verry nice review but cant decide between this or the standard scrambler 1200 have you rode this to? Is there allot difference in the engine feel and handling, the thing about the scrambler that anoys me is the heat coming from the exhaust on your knees
Yep - stay tuned for my videos on the XC....
I do get my inner leg warmed up a bit on one of these. Nothing too uncomfortable. Guess I'll like it come the winter.
I love it, but why oh why do they have to put such a small tank on them? Petrol stations out here can be a fair distance apart and I'd like a minimum range of 300ks. Would a Thruxton tank and seat fit on it do you think?
I don’t know but I doubt it due different frame....
Great review. I'm torn between this bike and the kawasaki z900rs. Which would you say is the nicest all rounder?
Well I bought this one - does that answer your question?
If you had to choose one bike would it be the speed twin or the street triple 675r ? Love all your reviews and your Chanel mate! Sending love from Australia.
Well I just sold my street triple and are keeping my speed twin - does that answer the question?
@@TheMissendenFlyer yes it does ;) sweet. It looks like an awesome all round. Do it all bike for city and spirited rides. Bye bye street triple! I’m about to do the same I think. Thanks for the reply
Mr Flyer.. the spot where you pulled in to do your walk round video.. is it near Tring? I swear i passed it on the way to pick a car up from BMW in tring recently.. a very nice place indeed. I only recognized it off your videos
Yes....
Great review but shame about the picture quality.
I’ll stick with my T120 for looks, comfort and heated grips though, plus it’s torque suits me fine.
I must say I put mine into rain mode for heavy town traffic to smooth things out and that might work on this as well.
What was the issue with the picture quality??
Hi TMF, ref. Picture quality.
Basically it appears to me that anything moving towards your camera ie, road, trees, foliage etc seem to go blocky and fuzzy whereas the handlebars, clocks and your hands that are a constant distance are pin sharp.
I think that I’ve mentioned this before but can’t remember if it was when you upgraded your GoPro.
Apologies for being picky, your vids are still a must watch in my opinion.
Cheers.
112 000 subscribers! Wow! Congratulations! :-) Nice one, saw it in Copenhagen yesterday. But I'll keep my Rninet pure.
So main difference between this and Thruxton - handlebars and fairing? Sign of aging I'm looking fondly at bikes with fairings, heated grips and seats. 34C Melbourne, Australia today bit chilly.
Lovely here in the Italian Alps today ⛷☀️
Thanks for this review, as I became very interested in the Speed Twin as soon as I saw a picture of it. So many good bikes nowadays!
Love the bike since the first time I saw it, however i would definitely put a higher handlebar on it so i could change the driving position for more comfortable one.
Best reviewer on youtube, hands down
How would you compare this to the kawa 900rs retro?
TMF back on board a Trumpet - nice one! Thanks for another great review.
I'm a first time viewer (from Florida, where bike riding is crap). Great job on the review.
Thank you Mark and welcome along!
I am in South Florida and the riding is shit here too. Sauna most of the year. Traffic and heat and no lane splitting allowed.
One of the coolest bikes on the market, sub-zero level for sure ! Spot on Triumph, and nice review, as usual...
Another great review TMF. So which would you have, this one or the Kawi Z900RS? BTW, Can't wait for you to get your hands on the new Triumph 1200 Scrambler with the 21" front.
Tough one - would need to tide the Kwak again to decide....
Great looking bike, thanks for the review. Maybe its just my personal taste, but at the Speed Twin's price point I think spoke wheels would be a nice standard feature.
Lovely. This would be top of my list in UK. Doesn’t seem many places to strap luggage.
Yes I certainly would - a worthy upgrade!
lovely review. spirited riding, great reporting. splendid...subscribed!
Thank you sir - and welcome along!
TMF out of this and the Z900RS which did you prefer? I’ve ridden the Z and am riding the Speed twin next weekend.
Tough call - different type of ride, would need to ride both again but Kawasaki I think....
I'm liking the look of this. Sounds lovely aswell but the only thing I would change would be to put wire spoked wheels on. I wonder if Triumph would put wheels from a Thruxton or whatever on?
Awesome review as always! Well done TMF!
Thanks
Cracking vid again TMF. Would you put this in the same category as the Kawasaki 900RS, If so which one would it be, think I’d go with the rs. 👍
Yes I would - tough call, I need to ride the Kwak again!
Not sure about cruise but grips certainly....
I have a 2019 speedy and love it ..I also know that you loved the speedy but why did you prefer the speed twin over the Speedmaster. I’m thinking of trading in my Speedmaster do you think this would make a better touring bike with a screen fitted......
Err yes, I think it would be a little more comfortable perhaps....
@@TheMissendenFlyer what the speed twin Mr Missenden ? I think the speed twin a lot easier to clean also
And thank you for prompt response kind sir 😀
Hmm tough call!!!
@@TheMissendenFlyer That's not helpful at all! hahahahah.
I recognise that town lol, 2minites from my place. Great review as always keep up the good work. Looking forward to picking up the New Versys at the weekend. Ride Safe
Congratulations on the new bike!
Great review, looking to purchase my first bike. I was considering the street twin but I feel I would grow out of it too quickly and want to upgrade to either this or the street triple. New rider friendly? I know all the roads your ride!!!
I’d stick with the Street Twin for a first bike personally - loads available second hand to learn your craft on....
Great video! Whats the main difference between this and going up to the Thruxton?
Riding position....style.
The regular exhaust pipes with the black section are the only styling thing I didn't like . Don't guess I'd change them, since they sounded okay.
The Vance and Hines ones look nice!
@@TheMissendenFlyer Yes they do look good. I've spent as much as I can currently. Maybe they'll get changed later . The datatracker, alarm and dresser bars and bobbins were a higher priority
Also I need a removable back rest for my wife when one becomes available, not sure if she'll be able to hang on (I had an issue, and I had the handle bars). Guess I'll have to be careful with the throttle and maybe leave it in rain mode !
Nice vid, really fancy these classic looking bikes. Great gloves by the way!
Cheers!
Defo!
I wonder if those larger bar end mirrors will be available for the other Bonnevilles?
I expect so....
