      @@darthmichael12 Thanks! Practice Test Questions were the most important for me. I had Pluralsight(Kaplan) which was 300 questions as well as Darril Gibson's Book(300) and Jason Dion's Tests(390). All of them provided solid, in-depth reasoning as to why answers were correct/incorrect. Kaplan had an option of getting answers/reasonings immediately after you answer, so that was a very helpful way of studying and test-taking at the same time.
      While I initially started reading Gibson's book, I was not happy with my pace, so instead, I watched this video twice on 1.5x to give myself a solid blanket of knowledge. Then, I started drilling myself with test questions. For me, the real progress happens when you answer questions (wrong or right) as you can then see why the answer is right as well as getting good with test-taking strategy by linking terms together and eliminating possible choices.
      I used Gibson's book to go into detail with concepts that I was struggling with or just wanted more clarity on. If you want to go with Gibson's book, it is a fantastic source and it really covers everything in great detail. However, I'm a slow reader, so it slowed me down a lot. It was much better used as a review source and for its test questions.

    • @darthmichael12
      @darthmichael12 3 года назад +3

      @@michaelborucki9163 Ok perfect, I will use those sources too. I have Gibson’s book and your right it is detailed. For you personally was there any topics that were harder for you to understand or excel at?

    • @michaelborucki9163
      @michaelborucki9163 3 года назад +19

      @@darthmichael12 Content-wise, nothing really sticks out...
      I've passed Project+ and Security+ in the past month, and the thing that I feel is the most difficult is how CompTIA words their questions, and for that, I think quality test prep questions are crucial. You have around a minute per question with PBQs in the beginning, and CompTIA loves lengthy questions with unnecessarily confusing bigger words.
      However, how they word things is important as well and can provide keys to the answer, which means you have to pay attention to the entire sentence. It's super easy to screw up your pacing with these tests. I'm normally a quicker test-taker, and I finished Project+ w/ about 8 minutes left out of 90, and I finished my last Security+ question 5 seconds before it ended.

The SY0-601 is no joke but that's mainly my fault for cramming in 3-4 weeks. In most books i have read BPA is business partner analysis ( written agreement of who is responsible for what) and ISA interconnetion security agreememt (agreement that specifies technical and secirity reqs ) . You have them as somthing different. Cheers though.
