It still bugs me 2 years later that I cant have Johns signature hair he had in RDR1 and RDR2 when he was NPC. I dont get why they cant just have it be an option at the barber? I mean they dont need to develop an entirely new hair growth system for John all they have to do is just keep the hairstyles you get but in the Styles section at the bottom or top just have an option that says "John's Classic hair" then you can choose it and by doing so it deactivates the hair growth system just for the hair not the facial hair. Damn I swear, I love Rockstar but I swear they love fucking with us. Its like they're a very hot stripper but just as shes about to take off her top she turns her back to you then says "wanna see? Wanna see?...No." Then she just leaves the stage.

They would be all smug about it like "you really are complaining about fictional hair?" Yes, because its a big deal. John Marston is a character we all know and love and when we finally get to play as him again after all these years they take away his classic hairstyle that he even had in the first half of the game! Thats like making another Hulk movie but when people finally go and see it they turn him purple instead of green. People are used to seeing the Hulk green, thats what people know and fans of the character love. So when they just turn him purple with no explanation it really bugs the Hulk fans because its not Hulk. Now this in comparison is on a much smaller scale because its hair we're talking about but its a style that belongs to that character in which fans of John Marston know and love. I dont even know if what I just said makes any sense but I assure you there is a point in there somewhere. On a side note I have noticed in RDR2 that alot of NPCs, including Sean, have the same exact hairstyle as John Marston. In fact at an Odriscoll camp this one member had the same exact hair and color as John and even kinda looked like him. I legitimately thought John joined the Odriscolls and I killed him. That being said im assuming that hairstyle is a stock choice for the developers right??
@@rickyl.103 It is true tho... they don't have to make a new hair growth system for it, just make it an option you can unlock when you play as John just like the extra clean shaven on the riverboat mission with trelawny. The hairstyle can have any name they want it to have like "classic" or whatever and make it only accessible/unlockable at hair level 7, by doing this they don't have to worry about the hair growing anymore and turning back into Arthur's for any other levels... because it's already at max. It can just stay the way it is at max level 7.
Little nitpicks at Rockstar 1: Why doesn't Arthur have a bullet hole or at least a wound from the time he got kidnapped by the O'Driscolls? 2: Why doesn't anyone from the stranger missions age at all when you meet them again as John? 3: Why does John have Arthur's clothes and why doesn't he have his own clothes from those days? 4: Why is John's dialogue the same as Arthur's and also why does he have a really thick neck and big shoulders? 5: Why can't you unbutton vests and close jackets?
Some people do age when you meet them again as John I think Charles stranger mission guy does the scientist those random white dot guys and a few others
1. I think thats just design flaw, it'd be a cool detail if it was there 2. There are some stranger missions whos models have aged you just have to have a keen eye, but not everyone can be remade even tho that would be nice. 3. I think John basically left beaver hollow with the clothes on his back. But while escaping Arthur gave John his satchel, which ig has everything that he has in it. Little weird it had ALL his clothes but ig it makes sense 4. This one is unfortunate we could have had unique dialog for John and stranger missions but no. Ok so it makes no sense to change Johns boots, belt, or pants because the boots, belt and pants from 1899 are provided. You even get his black coat from 1899. The only things you don't get are some of his shirts, some of his jackets, and some of his vests. Oh and his hair. For some reason you don't get his hair
@@arandomguy5903 it's the winter coat with the white threads that he wears in the beginning when you find him on the mountain. It should just automatically be in his wardrobe under his winter attire.

I really wish that you got the clothing John was wearing before the epilogue, I also really wish that Rockstar implemented all the clothing from Online into Story mode, for instance I hate all the pants that you have access to in Story mode, they just look really baggy and unfitting which is why I mainly only wear ranch pants but in Online all the pants and items look really good and fit very well sometimes I really don’t understand Rockstar’s decisions🤦♂️

The pants in story are NOT baggy 😂 they skinny asf and real cowboys never bought clothes that fit perfect. Sht that bother me is you have these big tops and jackets and skinny ahh pants. That’s why I fw chaps but they ain’t the best either

Anybody else notice how weird John looks at the end? His nose looks broken and he kinda looks middle eastern, rockstar really screwed the epilogue and johns face up when he becomes playable.
W M got nothing to do with his age you ‘goofy’. It would appear rockstar used Arthur’s template for Johns prologue face/body. He is the same model as Arthur but with a different skin and animations. At least that’s my guess but a very likely one.
I really wish that they could've gave us his Rip Van Winkle and Shotgun Coat outfit. And change that John's Gambler Hat is instantly saved in your wardrobe, shit is stupid.
Why is all of John's clothing so fitted and sexy compared to Arthur's? Everything he wears when he's with the gang as an NPC, and the handful of unique clothing pieces you get with him in the epilogue. Those crotch-hugging ranch pants and the Nathan Drake half-tuck going on with his vest, and two shirts that are unbuttoned halfway down his chest. Like, when you try to recreate his 1899 outfits with the purchasable clothing in the game, it all just fits differently, because it was meant for Arthur, who apparently isn't as metrosexual as John is.
Ik this is late but does anyone realise that the orange union suit is acc the one John uses, you just need to purchase the scrapper outfit that’s either in armadillo or tumbleweed instead of doing the glitch to get the red on which isn’t the one he uses
For the people who want johns gambler hat and doesn't know how to get it: During the mission where you watch Geddes son (I forgot his name) ride the big horse Jeremiah, before calm the horse, go behind him. You will get bucked and the hat will fall. Pick it back up and boom. Same thing with his worn flat cap, find a horse and get bucked.
For the john marston outfit i used johns gambler hat black stand collar overshirt the black or grey ranch pants black worn roper boots with johns gerden spurs the vest is the country vest and the coat is the black and grey and for his gun belt primary holster and off hand holster is all weathered.

You need high honor. Then buy the high honor exclusive "the cowpuncher outfit" which contains the shirt and the black opulent vest. It is located at the tumbleweed general store. So you can only get it as john..
So I was attempting to recreate some of these outfits only to realize Rockstar went in and deleted some colors... for example the dark blue shirts aren't there anymore as color options as well as that color for the shotgun coat... it's so lame... so for the last outfit since the blue shirt isn't available I used a black shirt 😔

You have to get it knocked off of johns head during the epilogue and pick it up. If not then there’s no other way to obtain it from what I know and you would probably have to replay the entire game
You can get it if you playing the epilogue at pronghorn ranch and you begin mission with john’s gambler hat just go to any horse and hit him the hat will fall off and if you pick it up it the hat will be yours
I always liked John's chapter 3-6 outfit. The grey shotgun coat looks like the one on the legend of the west outfit in rdr1. Wish we could wear it in the epilogue since his rdr1 outfit kinda looks mid in rdr2.
Normally there are 2 coyotes that automatically spawn very close to the house in Ringneck Creek (you know, the one from Jeremiah Compson). If that doesn't work out, try patrolling the area.
hey man, i know this is REALLY late. But i found out how to get rid of the annoying offhand holster. It can make john's outfit look more better. ArthurMoranGaming found this out and it really works! I can send the link to the video if you want.
Its missable item from epilogue 1. When the hat appeared in johns head, you have to drop it and pick it up from the ground again to save it. Btw, can you please sub?
R* so f-ing lazy with John's physique, hair, and wardrobe in the epilogue. Just copy and pasted Arthur but with John's face instead. Little did we know that it was a sign of what was to come for Red Dead online. SMFH
There is a rugged looking tan classic frock coat I got in an old game save of mine which I lost due to my console initialization but I have forgotten how I got it. I think only John could get it but it wasn't available for Arthur. Please reply if you have an idea of the coat I'm talking about.

There's a way to put the second belt like in John's 1899 outfits
Wear his cowhand outfit and do not wear any vests or chaps
If you wear his classic attire from rdr1 he will have the second belt on but if you change the vest it disappears

you should put on some pants go to the horse and choose custom outfit option and you can save it

I really wish that they could've gave us his Rip Van Winkle and Shotgun Coat outfit. And change that John's Gambler Hat is instantly saved in your wardrobe, shit is stupid.
Why is all of John's clothing so fitted and sexy compared to Arthur's? Everything he wears when he's with the gang as an NPC, and the handful of unique clothing pieces you get with him in the epilogue. Those crotch-hugging ranch pants and the Nathan Drake half-tuck going on with his vest, and two shirts that are unbuttoned halfway down his chest. Like, when you try to recreate his 1899 outfits with the purchasable clothing in the game, it all just fits differently, because it was meant for Arthur, who apparently isn't as metrosexual as John is.

During the mission where you watch Geddes son (I forgot his name) ride the big horse Jeremiah, before calm the horse, go behind him. You will get bucked and the hat will fall. Pick it back up and boom. Same thing with his worn flat cap, find a horse and get bucked.

For the john marston outfit i used johns gambler hat black stand collar overshirt the black or grey ranch pants black worn roper boots with johns gerden spurs the vest is the country vest and the coat is the black and grey and for his gun belt primary holster and off hand holster is all weathered.

So I was attempting to recreate some of these outfits only to realize Rockstar went in and deleted some colors... for example the dark blue shirts aren't there anymore as color options as well as that color for the shotgun coat... it's so lame... so for the last outfit since the blue shirt isn't available I used a black shirt 😔

You can get it if you playing the epilogue at pronghorn ranch and you begin mission with john’s gambler hat just go to any horse and hit him the hat will fall off and if you pick it up it the hat will be yours

I always liked John's chapter 3-6 outfit. The grey shotgun coat looks like the one on the legend of the west outfit in rdr1. Wish we could wear it in the epilogue since his rdr1 outfit kinda looks mid in rdr2.

Normally there are 2 coyotes that automatically spawn very close to the house in Ringneck Creek (you know, the one from Jeremiah Compson). If that doesn't work out, try patrolling the area.

There is a rugged looking tan classic frock coat I got in an old game save of mine which I lost due to my console initialization but I have forgotten how I got it. I think only John could get it but it wasn't available for Arthur. Please reply if you have an idea of the coat I'm talking about.
