Is land ownership mandatory for permanent address? Do I get disqualified in police verification for Govt. Job? As I have each & every document is from this place but we don't have land/flat ownership.

I don't think so. This is because the claimant did not suffer any loss. Rather because of his wrong understanding of the law he chose to file such cases which were not really worthy of merit. It is he who is responsible for the expenses of the litigation.

Revenue record shoul be updated automatically after registry or gift deed...there should be one department only and not 2
That's true. There are such provisions under the Maharashtra land revenue code. I do not know about the laws of the other states.
