Sir, I am a woman who completed my law studies two years back at the age of 50 years. Now I am in the second year of LL.M. I worked under two senior advocates for 6 months each and learnt the nitty gritties of the profession and am practicing independently now. I watch the High Court proceedings on you tube and note down things which has helped me a lot. And I have filed two cases in the High Court of Bombay as well of which one has been disposed off in my favour. I feel if one is addicted to studying and learning continuously then even sky is not the limit. One more important thing is to take care of one's health at this age and be active both mentally and physically. I am as energetic as any teenager. Whenever I don't have any work I sit in the courtroom and observe the senior advocates argument and learn from them. Age is just a number.. I belong to the second category.initially I used to travel 150 kilometers to Bombay High Court just to observe the proceedings the whole day. Both the cases I did not charge anything except the travelling expenses so that I get an entry into the High Court. This helped me to gain confidence and learn the procedures of the High Court. I feel if I can do anyone can do if they work with sincerity and dedication.
Hats off to you madam! What an inspirational and motivating story. May you be the beacon of inspiration for others. Would like to meet you someday to listen to your inspirational story. Don't know if it will be possible.
Same mam. I have also started it at the age of 43 after completing my LLB this year and started working with Delhi High Court senior advocate. It's much easier for people who are over 40 as I think the cognitive faculties at that time at at the peak. One is mature enough to handle one's life and also the legal profession. Obviously as u said we have our own limitations if we compare it with our young advocate friends who are in 20-30 age bracket. But it's not difficult at all if u have the inclination 😊😊
Sir, thanks for your appreciation for people like me. After retirement as an University professor of social work ,i joined law program, completed by attending regular class room lectures & immediately cleared aibe also. Two months back joined the office of a senior advocate. Sir, as you mentioned in your video lecture, earning money is not my concern fortunately my pension is sufficient to satisfy my basic needs. It's my fascination for legal study & practice, and nothing else. Sir I am happy to share that my senior is the most competent lawyer and moreover eager to teach new beginners like me. We are together right from 9.00am to 5.00 pm. Enjoying learning & practing law at the age of 70.
Thnx sir...for valuable words of encouragement. Completed my LL .B at the age of 51 years of my birth. Your calculated words with deep meaning always inspired me . Regular viewer of your videos. Always enlighten us with the light knowledge and experience.
