In this video I briefly show the basic principle of loft-extruding a normal spur gear to easily achieve the perfect bevel gear geometry. You have to scale the rounding values and approximations according to your design, but this is a very practical showcase of your typical printed nylon or molded acetal gears.
I personally recommend the FM gears module for any gear geometry you might need, as it can natively make helical gears and as shown in this video you can easily make bevel gears. I have yet to come up with the geometry of helical-bevel and offset axle helical bevels are still a far reach for me.
