I'm honestly amazed by Sera's simple fighting style No fancy move but it's still lethal cuz he knew when's the right time to strike during those miliseconds Probably one of my favorite fighting style after Tanimura's
I'd like to point out that majima not only fought the strong man of the kazama family, beat the man that would run the largest tojo clan family in 17 years, but he also managed to beat the fucking chairman of the tojo clan
Sera has one of my favorite fighting styles in any of the games, all of his attacks flow together so nicely but don’t exactly feel refined and he has a certain amount of thuggish power to his hits that just make it so satisfying to go against.
it seems like his moves are made to be as simple and as energy saving as possible. they're powerful hits but hes probably not going out of breath unlike a lot of other fighters in this series
Mojo Kor all this guy needs is a counter after his first strike. Wait for his punch, dodge behind him and punish. Never attack first since he has armor and a kick that makes you spin with your back towards him. He's pretty easy
yea bro, im on hard and i beat it second try its fun as hell cause my strat was just dodge and then punch him once, if i land behind him i punch twice lol its actually cancer but its fun anyway
this guy is the coolest boss in the game imo. the way he dodges your attacks, knocks you out just feels like you're a little dust that wiped off from his shoulders with no effort. but that guy made it look easy. I was playing on normal difficulty and he wiped the floor with me 3 times in a row
Damn, to my knowledge Sera is the only one that stomps Majima even in a QTE. That spinning backhand, followed by the kick to Majima's face/leg break was *nasty* However, Majima did have a neat counter to that Axe Kick.
A year late but from my limited experience so far in LEGEND, on legend don’t you potentially die in one failed QTE? Yoneda at the start insta killed me at 2/3rd hp w an ashtray cuz mis-press lol Love when bosses bust out the tricks :)
I figured it was less him putting no effort into fighting, more shaving all unnecessary movement from his style; no move is without purpose. His lackadaisical stance can also be interpeted as psychological warfare, as it gives none of his movement away until he actually attacks, with lightning speed and deadly precision. It does feel that he's just testing/trying to disable Majima than outright killing him though. That QTE shows you what Sera is really capable of when you push him far.
Man, maybe I'm slow, but I only just realized that SPOILER every boss which uses the track Misery Comes On Beat is dead by the time Yakuza 5 rolls around.
Omi Ren-go is called 'Omi Alliance' so... They went for Nikkyo Consortium because as you can see in the game, Nikkyo is rich as fuck. They probably focused mainly on doing business rather than violent practices
This guy actually disabled my enjoyment of Yakuza 0 for a whole month. I don't know what it is with him, but after two entire days of trying to fight him, I cannot understand how his counters work and just gave up.
What a shame you didn't finish that fight with that heat attack. That had to have been your plan to end it with a cool finish only for him to survive with that little bit of health. I remember just dying to bosses purposely just because I couldn't finish them with a finishing attack without using items.
Honestly, they couldve been implemented better, in both games there was never really any need to switch between styles, any one of them could work pretty well in any boss fight, I only really actually needed to switch styles when fighting random thugs, Rush isnt going to work too well against 10 guys after all. In most boss fights, the only reason to switch styles is to look cooler.
@@Wuuff That's not necessarily a bad thing. It just means you can choose whatever you want. You can beat the entire game using one style of you want. Or you can keep switching to what's more optimal. Or you can keep switching to whatever you feel like because you want to look as cool as possible. I like that kind of freedom. That's just 0, though. Kiwami encourages style switching much more, and they fixed many balancing issues with the styles.
That was my point exactly. There is no precision or accuracy. He's literally just throwing his arms around. There doesn't seem to be any sort of form in those punchess.
True. Might just be him flailing around, though there were some hits where either attacked with his hand or elbow, then followed up with the other joint he didn't use.
Some attacks look fine for sure. But just as many attacks look strange to me. Especially those 1-2 punches in that 4 hit combo. His style resembles Chinese Kung Fu in a way, especially that shoulder check he does from time to time. Sega is in love with Baji Quan for some reason. Nonetheless, I don't think Sera's style is based on any martial art. It looks more like Sega tried to make Sera unique and stylish, but ended up failing in the end. His flailing arms look unappealing to me to be honest. Majima definitely looks like the better assassin in the end.
