      @9114SouthCentralAv 3 года назад +9

      @@codyhiginbotham6616 The Academy needs to straighten out this category fraud bullshit because actors who give real supporting performances keep losing. Look at Mahershala Ali for Green Book, winning supporting actor, when he was a co-lead with Viggo Mortensen. It’s ridiculous. Either Sam Elliot or Richard Grant should have won. Why are they so hesitant to nominate TWO leads from one movie? They have done it before with Sarandon/Davis, Abraham/Hulce, Finney/Courtenay, Finch/Holden.......the studios push for people in certain categories but Academy members need to do a better job differentiating lead from supporting.

    Daniel Kaluuya is one of the best actors of this era. He’s had three performances that were Oscar-worthy. In Get Out, he balanced darkly comic timing with incredibly subtle & very impactful dramatic acting. In Widows, he became the greatest film villain since Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds. And in Judas & the Black Messiah, he embodied Chairman Fred Hampton. To have 3 Oscar-worthy roles by the age of 30 is incredible.

    Well Deserved Win!
    But if Both Lakeith and Daniel were up for Best Supporting Actor, who was the lead of the film then?

    Loved hearing his inner monologue and pep talk to keep himself from crying and falling apart: "Bro, we out here. Yo. Man. Man. What's good? Come on Dan." 😂😂

    I forgot that Daniel and Lakeith were in the same movie here and in Get Out. What a coincidence.

    Daniel did a wonderful job in Judas and the Black Messiah. I would have chosen Sacha Baron Cohen, but I loved Daniel's performance.

      @Reginald Wilson If the pandemic hadn't happened, then the film would've stuck to its original 2020 release date. So Daniel probably still would've won.

      @Reginald Wilson I know haha. I disagree with your comment that that Sacha would've won if COVID-19 didn't happen because Daniel still would've been in the running.
