His role in "Get Out" is fantastic. He finally is receiving the best recognition in his career. From "Widows" and "Black Panther", his role in "Judas and the black messiah" is absolutely terrific. A deserving win.
Daniel Kaluuya has great acting in Judas and the Black Messiah. At age 32, Kaluuya became the seventh-youngest Best Supporting Actor winner of the former. He is the first British actor of African heritage to win an Academy Award.

Agreed. I didn’t like that they simply talked about the nominees They deserve to have clips shown to show how worthy they were for the nomination (and for one of them, the win)
they need to bring clips back... I don't prefer the monologue of the presenter before announcing the winner, feel overlong and too preachy (even cringey). well they sometimes do that but with clips, it will brief-er, if it's like this then it'll be just tooooo long.
Lloyd Christmas In a general sense, yeah. But with Sacha Baron Cohen, they said all the actors would be polled as Supporting. And I agree with that, since it seemed the majority of the cast (Baron Cohen included) had equal amounts of screen time
@@codyhiginbotham6616 The Academy needs to straighten out this category fraud bullshit because actors who give real supporting performances keep losing. Look at Mahershala Ali for Green Book, winning supporting actor, when he was a co-lead with Viggo Mortensen. It’s ridiculous. Either Sam Elliot or Richard Grant should have won. Kaluuya’s performance was perfect, And Sacha Baron Cohen’s performance was also incredible as well and enjoyed Leslie odem jr. as well Paul Raci getting made me feel so proud and Lakeith Stanfield getting in great pick academy 👍.
Daniel Kaluuya is one of the best actors of this era. He’s had three performances that were Oscar-worthy. In Get Out, he balanced darkly comic timing with incredibly subtle & very impactful dramatic acting. In Widows, he became the greatest film villain since Christoph Waltz in Inglourious Basterds. And in Judas & the Black Messiah, he embodied Chairman Fred Hampton. To have 3 Oscar-worthy roles by the age of 30 is incredible.
I knew he was a great talent since the episode of Black Mirror in which he was the star. His breakdown at the end of that was electrifying! Not surprising he’s made it this far at all. A sublime artist!
Daniel Kaluuya is not only a brilliant actor but a poet a comedian and a decent bloke whose words resonate. I hope his career soars to even greater heights. A London man with the voice of a generation. He is the new England the new UK and I hope he gets a leading actor Oscar and becomes Sir Daniel Kaluuya.
He was great in this and the Oscar is very well deserved but I still don't know why both him and Lakeith Stanfield were nominated for Supporting Actor.
Kaluuya is at his peak of acting! What a performance. LaKeith is amazing too man! He deserved an award. Huge fan of his performance in FX Atlanta serie!
Long long overdue. He was better than all the Hollywood just with his get out role. Man lived through the script not acted it. Actors like that r born one in a lifetime

One of the best speeches of the night, especially sharing his parents’ sex life. And also, another MCU actor who joins the Oscar-winning list.
