Daniel's speech at the end of the Black Mirror episode Fifteen Million Merits is one of the greatest examples of acting I've ever seen. Great guest to have on
Daniel seems to really be in his element when he's in those dark shows/films that can have you in stitches then bawling your eyes out in the same scene. There's just something about him that's hard to pin down, but whatever it is he's mastered it.

I do love how Shawn never pressures his guests to eat more of the wing or asks anything disrespectful. It makes the show much more caring and fun but with a true care and sweetness. It brings me back even for guests I dont know or thought I didnt like, before watching them on this show.
Usually guests fall into one of two camps: 1) they come in talking a big game & then completely break down. or 2) they come in humble & calmly handle the whole thing. @@patrickbyrne5070 yeah many English actors for sure, probably not most normal English people. But those actors are usually going from a neutral BBC English accent to a neutral American accent. Not just Sean. But everywhone who works or has worked on this show.
You have created something truly amazing. Something that has filled my time with joy, and I'm sure it has done so for a lot of people.
It's really special to see people of this caliber being so human, relatable, and just so open to conversation.
Best regards from Serbia, even though it's a small, mostly misrepresented country... A lot of people from here love you guys and what you do.
🥰😘
Love and Light to you.
let's unbury it
Samo Ljubav!
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is absolutely one of the best Hot Ones. Daniel is so cool, calm and collected. I also just get so much joy from everyone complimenting Sean. He's is such a great interviewer. That's what makes this show what it is.
100% agree
It was so refreshing having someone actually take bites and eat/enjoy most of the wings. AND he's funny too😭 great interview
His characters don’t usually have a lot of lines or outward personality but his real personality is so friendly and cute 🥰
He doesn't lie, Sean and his team dig in and pull the best questions. There is a very good reason this show has received so much attention. Just don't let Sean start interrogating people for the government....
Wait, but that might be an interesting segment. Give them this hot sauce and see how well they lie…or just have a moment to punish them for our enjoyment.
He should have Joe Biden on the show!
@@delgat000 joe literally gonna have a heart attack
Daniel was genuine, he was hilarious, he was gracious with Sean, and he reminded me I should put some lotion on my ankles. What a guy.
Bruh... caught sight of the back of my ankles the other day after running around with no socks... good lord! I couldn't wait to get home, jump in the shower and cream dem tings! I recommend Eucerin Intensive care!
😂😂
You should have been doing that anyhow. Trim your toenails. Use a pedegg or similar to remove any rough areas. Put some lotion on those bad boys.
This dude is always so charismatic
That closing was so sweet while being deliriously in pain lol
"Accessible excellence. It's a movement." - Daniel Kaluuya (12:46)
Daniel Kaluuya is a gifted actor. This interview was great because the questions were great, too. It's a wonderful experience watching him in the scene and having him talk about his craft.
Daniel's speech at the end of the Black Mirror episode Fifteen Million Merits is one of the greatest examples of acting I've ever seen. Great guest to have on
Thanks for the recommendation, haven’t seen that one but will definitely watch it now !
It's gut wrenching
Fifteen Million Merits is easily in my Top 3 Episodes. I remember watching it when it was first shown on channel 4 and I remember how blown away I was
Daniel seems to really be in his element when he's in those dark shows/films that can have you in stitches then bawling your eyes out in the same scene. There's just something about him that's hard to pin down, but whatever it is he's mastered it.
It was the second episode of season 1 i think, i enjoyed the first episode, but yes that closing speech at the end of the second one made me watch every single episode thereafter - and it seemed to come out of no where and blew me away.
Sean sounded so genuinely touched in that little “oh” when he was being praised at the end there. Loved this!
It’s so refreshing hearing an actor with such a strong British accent, using British slang. Love Daniel so much :)
“Cream your ankles” y’all hear Daniel, don’t be ashy out here. Lol😂
I loved that! This camera, that camera, that camera, tell us what you've got going on...... "Cream your ankles"... I fell over... Classic stuff.
That took me out. I laughed throughout the interview but when he said that I fell out 🤣🤣🤣
I love when people are impressed by Sean's interviewing, he really puts a lot of work into it just like Daniel said and it's so lovely when people recognize that. And also Daniel was SO FUN to watch do this. Great work everyone!!
Sean doesnt write the questions or do the work. His writing team does
I don't remember seeing *any* guest laugh after biting into the Da'Bomb wing like Daniel! And certainly not such laughter!
He seems like such a cool dude, so funny, and dedicated! I'm so glad we got to see him do the Hot Ones interview. I hope he knows it's appreciated that he was willing to do it.
I never thought of having Daniel on the show but OH MY GOD I LOVE THAT HE IS!
Wish they added the Goblin one day
Sort of speaks to how far this show has come, and deservedly so!
Seeing you comment here is like seeing your elementary school teacher at the grocery store.
Never clicked so fast in my life
One of my favorite episodes in recent memory. I'm going to have to rewatch Get Out tonight.
When he said thank you to Sean at the end is so sweet, he’s right. Sean is one of the best interviewers ever. He’s always so kind and asks the best questions. Also Daniel is so cool, nice and funny. He’s a talented actor and I love Get Out and Nope
Smiling all the way through, handling the heat like a champ. Definitely enjoyed this interview.
Daniel Kaluuya exudes so much charisma. What a talent.
What a guy. The level of insight he has on acting technique is absolutely incredible
I do love how Shawn never pressures his guests to eat more of the wing or asks anything disrespectful. It makes the show much more caring and fun but with a true care and sweetness. It brings me back even for guests I dont know or thought I didnt like, before watching them on this show.
Daniel is such a beautiful man ,my word 😭😭😭😭🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺❤
Also his vibe is top notch 👌
His speech to Sean at the end 😭❤ well deserved.

@@anotheryoutuber_ that particular orange colour from many a pasta leftover
Usually guests fall into one of two camps: 1) they come in talking a big game & then completely break down. or 2) they come in humble & calmly handle the whole thing. Daniel was a brilliant combination of coming in confident & carrying it through to the end. Also, absolutely loved his respect for Sean & the show in the end credits! Great episode!
This guy's charisma is outstanding
This season's guest line-up is one for the books man...beyond anything I'd ever expect 💯
Minus Khloe cardash
@@fromthekitchenofhafsa nah I can respect the Khloe interview. She’s still a kardashian and can only be so interesting but she’s part of one of if not the biggest social media empires in the world. Of course they’re going to interview one of those sisters. I respect that Sean still made it a good interview and the show itself coerced her into being less of a robot
I know this is random but.... his skin is FLAWLESS!!! And I love when a guest compliments Hot Ones on the interview questions. He's really the best interviewer out here. And kudos to the Hot Ones staff too! 👏🏾 💐
If he creams his ankles imagine his skincare routine!
@@ellieboa true! I need his skincare routine... I want the details! Lol
I was thinking the same thing. His skin is glistening.
I've been close up to him in person in a lift and his skin is luminous. Literally glowing skin in person...I had to stop myself from staring. 🤣🤣🤣
The thanks and acknowledgement he gives at the end is everything. Parents raised him right.
Hard to believe this man is an actor. Starring in sooo many amazing movies and yet here, he seems like someone I could run into at a grocery store.
Run into and talk to you until he’s done and out of line
I cannot not like him. Daniel Kaluuya is one of the most talented, funny and interesting actor out there. Wish him all the best in life.
So from your way of thinking, you usually don't like black people but towards Daniel, you cannot not like him?

If this was someone’s first time watching this show, and they hear Sean being invited to London and getting a plate tells you everything you need to know about the man.
Sean has such a way with people. His research team always does an impeccable job. And the guests seem so relaxed. Even with the impending doom.
"You're like Nardwaur" is the best praise an interviewer could ever get.
i was thinking that, the second he popped the question , sean is so good
@@janicevanity Nardwaur is probably the pinnacle of in depth popular journalism. His questions are always poignant, but never obvious.
Sean does an excellent job of bringing that style to a new generation.
Timecode for this?
I can't believe Daniel was considering retiring from acting. He has been so great in every movie that he is in. His weirdness comes out in his craft, and is just the best!
Every time someone pays Sean the respect he deserves for the effort of the questions and delivery, makes me remember that not every celebrity has an ego
And that they get asked a lot of lousy questions
I gotta see Nardwuar on Hot Ones! I can only imagine what kind of gifts he’d bring for Sean!
That would be so good
Love it when I read a comment the exact instant I hear what relates to it
Wow! Best idea yet!
Yes but, THE QUESTIONS??
It would be a battle of wits and I'd pay for that
There are no bad episodes of hot ones, there aren't even good ones at this point. They're all great. But this is my favorite episode in a long time!
I am now a huge fan of Daniel Kaluuya! What a beautiful human being!!!
This is first interview I've seen from Daniel Kaluuya so I didn't really know his personality. After watching Nope, I was blown away at the scene when he had to do the safety meeting. It was a complete 180 of his real personality, fantastic acting
Daniel has one of the most infectious smiles ever.
100% I came here to say the same!
As a little boy his face must've been so bright and beautiful when he smiled.
Wow, TIL this dude does an INCREDIBLE American accent. Would never have guessed his normal speaking accent was this strong. It's like Idris Elba in The Wire level skill.
I was thinking the exact same thing!!
Tbf most English folk in general can do a decent American accent. The other way round… not so much
Hugh Laurie too
@@patrickbyrne5070 yeah many English actors for sure, probably not most normal English people. But those actors are usually going from a neutral BBC English accent to a neutral American accent. We also don’t know about the English actors who are trash at the American accent, because they don’t do it. This however is a case of a guy with a very thick cockney accent sounding like he’s a regular black dude who spent his whole life in an east coast city.
He doesn't have an accent, you think he does. This is his native language.
Daniel is perfection 🥰 beautiful chocolate sunkissed skin and pearly white teeth. 🙌🏾
Yes he is just immaculate 🤎🤎
He so so handsome
The most beautiful man on Earth. He’s just magnificent 😛
Beautiful skin!!
I was telling my bff this last night!
Never knew he was british. Even more respect for the skill of acting this man possesses. SALUTE
"You're like Nardwaur" is what I imagine to be the GREATEST compliment an interviewer can receive.
"Accessible excellence, it's a movement" well said, Daniel.
Hot Ones introduces us to people we would never get to meet otherwise. The people underneath the celebrity while the hot sauce breaks down all the barriers. Take care of yourself, people. Looking forward to the next one.
Daniel is truly one of the most talented actors of our generation, his performances over the past several years have been mind blowing.
Nothing warms my heart more than when the guest gives Sean and his team the props they deserve. There really is no better interviewer in the game today
Narduar is still in the game today.
Agreed
This is such a light hearted, fun and chill conversation between two guys just hanging out! Saw Daniel Kaluuya in Skins when he was just a little boy and thought he did that character justice. Seeing how much he's grown and his journey in film and acting is very inspiring. Gotta love the man! And also props to Sean; I always love how much care he puts in coming up with questions for his guests.
POSH KENNETH!!!!
I love his smile, skin, and personality!
I commend him for licking his fingers after almost every wing, he ain’t new to this he’s true to this
Bars
💯
🎶"Pay attention boy, he'll show you how to do this ish"🎶
Daniel’s personality is just amazing! Literally makes him more appealing than he already is!
For those who may not know, being in the same class of interviewer as Nardwuar the Human Serviette is a huge compliment!!! I've said on more than one occasion that Nardwuar would make an amazing guest. Little to no chance though as he doesn't really have any contemporary stardom. But to interview someone who has had access and interviewed hundreds of celebrities would be awesome.
Phil Defranco was a guest, and he's probably niche like Nardwuar.
PREACH!
Surprise reveal, Nardwuar comes on as a guest, but turns the tables and meets every question from Sean with one of his own.
Man it would be so great to see Nardwuar on this show, that man has some serious journalistic history.
What a marvelous human being and actor! He was so joyful and he absolutely appreciated Sean and Sean's craft as an interviewer. The best all around!
The fact that this man dives in twice per wing (despite the sauce) is crazy… respect Daniel 🍻 💪🏻 and he’s right in regards to Sean.. “you’re a great interviewer- you one of the best in the game” nothing but facts 💯
The first time I saw Daniel was on Black Mirror, Fifteen Million Merits. I was so blown away by his performance that I had to look him up. Now whenever I see he's in something, I've got to watch it. He's just magnetic in every role. It was great to see him on Hot Ones!
Same here. I remember making a mental note to “keep an eye on that actor” because his performance was so good in Black Mirror.
For me it was Johnny English reborn 😂
The rawNess in that speech is what I imagined people watching thinking a start is born. Unbelievable execution of that monologue in black mirror.
I wish Daniel Kaluuya every happiness and every success. He reminds me a great deal of my late nephew, so I watch his films to be reminded of him.
I was not prepared for how delightfully goofy this dude is! I love that about him so much! 😆 Love to see it! ✌🏿
So pumped that a guest is finally giving props to Nardwaur! Sean's got great interviewing skills, but "the Human Serviette" has been doing these amazing interviews for decades!
Daniel Kaluuya is an absolute gem to this earth, fantastic actor with insane skill. Top bloke
This show could be fun just for seeing how people react to the wings, but you make it 1000x better with your ability to ask questions that bring so much more out of them. I don’t watch standard talk shows, but you are fantastic at what you do. This is easily one of the best things on RUclips.
saw him in first doctor who, and he's progressed to some SERIOUS heights, amazing performer and seemingly all round great guy
A couple of my favorite things about Hot Ones are watching the guests have legit fun during the interview, and hearing the laughter from off camera
What’s great about hot ones is that it’s all fun and love, no negativity, everybody enjoys everybody and everyone has a great time. The world needs more of this.
I was already a fan of Daniel Kaiuuya, he's a great actor and an even better human being. I love his energy. The thank you to Sean at the end, sealed it.
This guy is going all the way to the top. Can't wait to see his next project.
