Thank you so much! All I had to do was turn down the temperature because the water around the small hole has frozen over the hole. I really couldn’t afford a problem with my fridge so thank you for saving me!

I wish I found this a couple of years ago, had a bad smell for months (I suspected it was an issue with humidity from the neighbour upstairs and it took time for it to be resolved). But I eventially had a look at the back and barely survived... In any case many thanks por this, I am sure it will be very helpfull.

Hi, what is the correct temperature for the fridge and should I leave that green plastic there or just clean it and put it back or take it out of there please? Thanks

Normally the fridge should be between 2 and 5 degrees C. I would leave the green plastic part in but leave it loose out the top so the water can go down the hole if need be

My fridge is freezing up on the back panel. Can I prevent this.

Most will freeze up anyway, and it should switch off after a short time and the water will defrost and drain away at the bottom of the fridge and evaporate off the compressor. If it is too cold for a long period of time, it may be worth turning the control down a little.

I’ve always had my fridge at one setting and for some reason because it’s hot outside I thought let me increase the temperature by one setting and after 2 days, I found water on the floor under my fridge. I honestly didn’t know what to do until I watched this video and realised that the water had frozen around the hole. I’ve turned it back down to its original temperature and I hope that will be the solution!
Thank you so much for this video! I watched so many and they were getting technical and expecting me to use tools and take apart components!? I nearly cried but then I watched this video and realised that it could be as simple as turning down the temperature 😮
