i honestly do miss the New York soaps GL had great storylines especially Billy Lewis return in the 90's w/Hampton Speakes, Roger returned and the Chelsea 's Stalker, love those stories
I did too i really loved the Chelsea stalker storyline good mystery one of my favorite storylines and poor Dana got the blame at first and ultimately died as a result of the stalker
What a great memory lane stroll! I was 14 and obsessed with the Beth/Phillip storyline. Kept hoping that she could summon the courage to tell Phillip about the assault, but she was so traumatized. Had almost given up hope and then we got the NYC escape about a month later. That Friday afternoon cliffhanger when they fled Annabelle Reardon's classroom...it felt like Monday @ 3:00 would never come.

....gosh, I just never get over it -- this music theme ('My Guiding Light') & title/logo are just so classy and very perfectly wedded to that "Big 80's" ambiance of the 1983-1986 timeframe that they used this. I am 100% unable to choose a favorite between this and the 1991 "Hold On To Love" theme & titles sequence!
This was one of the best soap operas on tv I was so upset when they changed up years later, then it ended

It was pretty obvious that Bradley made beth say that too phillip, he should've been able too see through that,it was pretty fake and forced.
Am I sensing shades of the 1980 horror film "Ghost Story" in the flashbacks? It's not exactly subtle.
