I've removed the gx16 plug (16mm diameter hole) on the chassis and soldered the wire directly to the board using an m16 Lapp Kabel Skintop ST-M to hold the cable in place (after consulting with an electrician of course ;) BUT, very very minor improvement in sound... (the bottleneck is probably still the 5.5/2.1 dc plug not allowing thicker cables
Very interesting. Yes Lapp cable is very basic. SO if you did the same thing with a smarter geometry cable with a more finer thread and variable thickness and better insulation and shielding, it could potentially get a lot better. But it would then also have to match the LPSU, where usually only the higher level LPSU's react very positive to this. But very smart what you did. That is certainly thinking outside the box.
The only fix would be to remove both connectors and solder the cable (occ or pure silver) directly to the pcbs with the oyaide ss solder. Gonna try this with my lpsu in the next days, i'm still waiting some toys to do the perfect job
Hi Larry, i have received your pdf but i haven't finished reading those yet. I have 3 teradak lpsu with me now, can i ask what aviation plug would u recommend to upgrade my original dc cable? I think i heard u mentioned use an xlr instead? Any recommendation ?
I really don't know, I have not been able to find any good ones. Seems like everybody is using the same plug everywhere. But try something like this: DC21 --- Oyaide DC plug to Aviation GX12-2 Plug Canare 4S6 DC Interconnect Cable Brand New As a bare minimum, that at least has an Oyaide end. Also having p8 Keces on a system that has a lot of teradak LPSU's I heard from my friend is a very good match.
Yep, as good as my Eversolo DMP-A6's stock SMPS sounds, the upgrade to a LPS by Beatechnik sounds better! My video ruclips.net/video/dG_O5Z0RFqI/видео.html
