so, not sure you'll get a chance to read this this far after you posted this vid, but... here's my prediction re: hiyori I think we're gonna get another flashback ... maybe of momo talking with hiyori as kids... after which we're gonna see momo do something with onigashima ... and see hiyori strike down orochi. I think denjiro will be waiting behind the scenes for hiyori to take action (which would explain his disappearance) and it would show his IMMENSE resolve to hold off on exacting his own revenge on Orochi to let Hiyori take it in his stead. I think any of the scabbards would give Hiyori priority in this situation, and i think this would easily be the most satisfying way to cap things off in that sector of the arc.

"Onigashima is in the way! Move it!!" is one of the most Luffy things ever! It instantly reminded me of the Sea Train to Enies Lobby, when they were getting into one of the carts Sanji dislodged from the Puffin Tom, and after checking that Sanji and Robin are not there, he tells Zoro "It's in the way. Cut it!" Seeing Luffy treat Momo the same way he treats Zoro gave me goosebumps

Please watch episode 1015 of One Piece. It's the adaptation of chapter 1000 and it is the best episode of the anime. It expands on so much and the direction breath taking. Every One Piece fan who's read up to 1000 or past it needs to experience it.
Seeing Merphy is going to be getting into Spy Family is nice. Glad to see she'll get to enjoy something light-hearted (mostly) after the behemoths of One Piece and Hunter x Hunter. Also, Avatar and Percy Jackson are nice surprises as well on that schedule.
As a heads up Merphy, the latest episode of the anime #1015 is an absolutely beautiful episode. The animation quality is through the roof! The episode covers Ace with Yamato, then the beginning of the Roof-Piece Luffy fight.
Denjiro will definitely be the one to end Orochi. He did mentioned that there's vengeance consuming him, thus the facial change. I believe once he kills Orochi, his face will turn back to normal. Personally, I find that Hiyori do not have the capability to kill Orochi as she's not trained in the ways of a samurai. At most probably just a stab to the chest or throat but not enough to kill.

Her situation isn’t like Rebecca and if she really was trained by Denjiro, then I hope she brought the other sword. But if that’s the case, that makes Denjiro’s character pointless. Their story are knitted together. So I doubt Oda is going to let her have the last stroke.
Have you seen the recent Episode of One Piece 1015, it's the adaptation of chapter 1000. It was so good, it was way better than even movie quality animation. It also flush out Yamato way more as a character in the anime adaptation then they did in the manga for that chapter. Also there's also a lot of symbolism and different parallels that they added that wasn't shown in the manga. It was so good that after I first watch it, I immediately rewatch it 8 times. It's so good that it wouldn't be a stretch to saying that it is currently the best episode in the One Piece anime ever.
@Rogersbase called it the best episode of all time. Regardless of someone's feelings on the anime adaptation, the episode is worth a watch just for the way director Megumi Ishitani interprets a certain scene.

I just started reading Spy Family today :). I cant wait to watch your video on it. I loved this chapter. Its so cool to have seen Luffy go from a pirate in a barrel, to someone capable of defeating an emperor. Luffys trust in his friends is my favorite thing about him.
It literally cannot be, Oda said once that his ‘audience will be disappointed if luffy won because his punch was stronger’ (paraphrasing) so I believe this is a poetic jest on that line but luffy will probably lose this round after hitting kaido, he’ll awaken and then finish him.

This is punch larger than Onigashima, coated in armament and conqueror Haki which is also dragging down the lightning like in strong world with every intention to put Kaido down. Remember Luffy attack makes Kaido rubbery meaning that Luffy punch lands deeper amd hurts more then his attacks did before G5. If this hits it will squish Kaido his defenses would have no way to protect him.

BUT if I could recommend that you just watch episode 1015 of the OP anime... it is one of the most beautifully animated episodes... from music to animation to story... I really think you will enjoy this one. Megumi Ishitani is a masterful Director and she really knows how to celebrate One Piece with the fandom.
AHHHHHHH IM SO EXCITED YOU'RE READING SPYXFAMILY!!! With your love of found family and dealing with trauma I think its safe to say that you'll enjoy this one. I know that anime isn't your preferred medium but I highly recommend checking out the anime for it as well; there's 3 episodes out so far with 12 in total for this season and so far its done a fantastic job of animating the manga and even adding some anime exclusive scenes. Even if you decide not to watch it please check out some of the scenes with Anya because she is just the cutest and the voices and animation are perfect.
This giant punch from Luffy will probably knock us into a Kaidou flashback. I really expect one to happen before the fight ends and we are in the final stage of it.
I think it's important to note that Oden left his two swords to both of his children. Enma was gifted to Hiyori and is in the possession of Zoro while Ame no Habakiri was gifted to Momo and is supposedly being kept safe by Tenguyama. Hiyori has already said she wants to be the one to kill Orochi and stuck her way into the raid, possibly without help because even Denjiro was confused over who had healed them after their attempt to kill Kaido. It would not surprise me if she took her brothers sword to at least try to deliver the final blow on her most hated enemy.

I absolutely loved getting weekly discussions and reviews for One Piece from you, but I completely understand moving back to monthly. Your perspective is just such a breath of fresh air in the community. I've always been a fan of people like Kingoflightning, Brago, and Roger but they're way more focused on the fights/power scaling then anything else. You talking about everything in depth without lingering on the fights so much is so nice.
Definitely need to check out episode 1015 of the anime! Completely breathtaking adaptation of chapter 1000 and if you watch anything of the post timeskip anime, this would be the ep to watch.
No need to make a video or anything but you should watch the latest episode One Piece (1015), it basically adapts chapter 1000 and expands a bit and it is really a masterpiece, especially when compared to the usual one piece anime (that isn't great with pacing and stuff). 1015 is better even than the chapter it adapts
Even tho you’re caught up on the manga you should watch the Yamato and ace episode and the newest episode 1015 they were so good and it had a lot of content that wasn’t present in the manga that gives Yamato a lot more character
A video idea for one piece days would be to cover some of the one piece movies. The fan favorites are movie 6: baron omatsuri and the secret island, strong world, film z, film gold, and stampede. The events of the movies are all non-cannon so you can just have fun with them. I enjoyed the single chapter reviews while they were here and look forward to the hunterxhunter and spyxfamily content on the schedule
Not really... I liked the episode, but all it added was a scene with them just being like "haha we're friends! Do you get it audience?" It was well animated, but didnt really add anything.

OMG I agree so much about the Hiyori and Orochi Situation. I don't want her to be the one that has to be saved I want her to be the one that ends Orochi! 😭 That would be soo satisfying
I think the lanterns coming into play won't just be in the form of motivation, but in the form of actual fuel for Momo. Dragons fly via "flame clouds," so maybe Momo who's currently having trouble generating those will find it easier to make his clouds out of flames that were already lit? I think it'd be a neat way for Oda to let the people of Wano help play a bigger role in their own salvation.
Kinda like Momo draws the fire from the lanterns which sets them a blaze. The people below see the island and how their 'hopes/dreams' saves them causing cheer. Maybe something like that.

The more I think about this theme, the more I realize how integral it is to One Piece. It's the beautifully defiant desperation of the downtrodden declaring, "If you don't laugh, you'll cry!" Oda depicts an unstoppable social phenomenon - that the oppressed laugh because they have to, to live - because it's their only way to keep going. And when they keep going, when they keep surviving, they live to see a brighter day, to see the brilliance of the dawn, to see the sun rise. It's Luffy, Ace and Sabo smiling through poverty, neglect and abuse by sticking together and clinging to the hope of setting sail. It's Usopp living in his own concocted absurdities until the day he can leave behind the village where brutal reality stole both of his parents from him. It's Saul teaching Robin to laugh, telling her to find friends, to keep living until she finds that brighter day. It is the SOUL of this story. So what if Toko's laughter touches a nerve with Orochi, or if we joke at Bezos's expense? The powerful have brought this upon themselves, but the weak will have the last laugh, because it's how we continue to live!
The Momo flashback was so sad. I keep forgetting because that to him, he JUST lost his mother. Like its probably barely been like a month or so for him, an eight year old child.

I’m pretty sure that this is Act 4, the Oden flashback was Act 3. And the assuming post-wano arc will be Act 5. The story is written like a Noh play.

It is actually better than manga chapter 1000 that is is based on.

Merph..I know you’re not into watching anime but i highly recommend watching the latest One Piece ep. It covers chapter 1000 and has been done phenomenally. You should definitely give it a watch. Just watch the end bit when he used red roc. It’s super epic,

I loved this chapter. Its so cool to have seen Luffy go from a pirate in a barrel, to someone capable of defeating an emperor. Luffys trust in his friends is my favorite thing about him.

Is it just me, or it really doesn't feel like the climax of Luffy's fight?
It literally cannot be, Oda said once that his ‘audience will be disappointed if luffy won because his punch was stronger’ (paraphrasing) so I believe this is a poetic jest on that line but luffy will probably lose this round after hitting kaido, he’ll awaken and then finish him.
@@BlackPhilosophy Plausible. Also, this might actually be the tragedy we have all been speculating about at the end of Act 3. Because, seriously bro! Entire raid just feels too good to be true. There haven't been anything which has gone wrong. Also, since Oda plans stuff for milestone chapters, we might be having intermission stuff for 2 chapters-1049 and 1050.
@@BlackPhilosophy- this isn’t just a some strong punch. This is punch larger than Onigashima, coated in armament and conqueror Haki which is also dragging down the lightning like in strong world with every intention to put Kaido down. Remember Luffy attack makes Kaido rubbery meaning that Luffy punch lands deeper amd hurts more then his attacks did before G5. If this hits it will squish Kaido his defenses would have no way to protect him.
@@justynhill4814 idk man. The scenes with the samurai just seem like big red flag. Almost like the happiness Luffy and the Whitebeard pirates had when Ace was freed. And we all know what followed.

You gotta watch the new episode of one piece, episode 1015 which is the episode adapted for chapter 1000 of the manga, it is without a doubt one of, if not the best episode in the entire series and does chapter 1000 better than in the manga
You don't have to post an episode reaction video... BUT if I could recommend that you just watch episode 1015 of the OP anime... it is one of the most beautifully animated episodes... from music to animation to story... I really think you will enjoy this one.
Megumi Ishitani is a masterful Director and she really knows how to celebrate One Piece with the fandom.

AHHHHHHH IM SO EXCITED YOU'RE READING SPYXFAMILY!!! With your love of found family and dealing with trauma I think its safe to say that you'll enjoy this one.
I know that anime isn't your preferred medium but I highly recommend checking out the anime for it as well; there's 3 episodes out so far with 12 in total for this season and so far its done a fantastic job of animating the manga and even adding some anime exclusive scenes. Even if you decide not to watch it please check out some of the scenes with Anya because she is just the cutest and the voices and animation are perfect.
This giant punch from Luffy will probably knock us into a Kaidou flashback. I really expect one to happen before the fight ends and we are in the final stage of it.
You should definitely watch episode 1015 of the anime. It adapts chapter 1000 and it's probably the most well executed episode of One Piece ever
I think it's important to note that Oden left his two swords to both of his children. Enma was gifted to Hiyori and is in the possession of Zoro while Ame no Habakiri was gifted to Momo and is supposedly being kept safe by Tenguyama.
Hiyori has already said she wants to be the one to kill Orochi and stuck her way into the raid, possibly without help because even Denjiro was confused over who had healed them after their attempt to kill Kaido. It would not surprise me if she took her brothers sword to at least try to deliver the final blow on her most hated enemy.
People have mentioned it but yeah ep 1015 was handled so well, I definitely think you should watch 1015

I absolutely loved getting weekly discussions and reviews for One Piece from you, but I completely understand moving back to monthly.
Your perspective is just such a breath of fresh air in the community. I've always been a fan of people like Kingoflightning, Brago, and Roger but they're way more focused on the fights/power scaling then anything else. You talking about everything in depth without lingering on the fights so much is so nice.
Definitely need to check out episode 1015 of the anime! Completely breathtaking adaptation of chapter 1000 and if you watch anything of the post timeskip anime, this would be the ep to watch.

Please watch the Anime Epidode 1015 that just aired. It is likely the most perfect episode that has been animated.
No need to make a video or anything but you should watch the latest episode One Piece (1015), it basically adapts chapter 1000 and expands a bit and it is really a masterpiece, especially when compared to the usual one piece anime (that isn't great with pacing and stuff). 1015 is better even than the chapter it adapts

Even tho you’re caught up on the manga you should watch the Yamato and ace episode and the newest episode 1015 they were so good and it had a lot of content that wasn’t present in the manga that gives Yamato a lot more character

A video idea for one piece days would be to cover some of the one piece movies. The fan favorites are movie 6: baron omatsuri and the secret island, strong world, film z, film gold, and stampede. The events of the movies are all non-cannon so you can just have fun with them. I enjoyed the single chapter reviews while they were here and look forward to the hunterxhunter and spyxfamily content on the schedule

You should watch episode 1015 of One Piece, it is literally a perfect episode. It fleshed out a lot more of the relationship between Yamato and Ace.
Not really... I liked the episode, but all it added was a scene with them just being like "haha we're friends! Do you get it audience?" It was well animated, but didnt really add anything.

It doesn’t have to add anything plot relevant to still flesh out their relationship more. It becomes much better in the anime than it did in the manga and anyone would agree.

OMG I agree so much about the Hiyori and Orochi Situation. I don't want her to be the one that has to be saved I want her to be the one that ends Orochi! 😭 That would be soo satisfying
I think the lanterns coming into play won't just be in the form of motivation, but in the form of actual fuel for Momo. Dragons fly via "flame clouds," so maybe Momo who's currently having trouble generating those will find it easier to make his clouds out of flames that were already lit? I think it'd be a neat way for Oda to let the people of Wano help play a bigger role in their own salvation.
Kinda like Momo draws the fire from the lanterns which sets them a blaze. The people below see the island and how their 'hopes/dreams' saves them causing cheer.
Maybe something like that.
"They're smiling and they're laughing, because it's the only choice they have." YES. I LOVED your commentary on this with regard to smile fruits, Toko's laughter and Orochi's sensitivity. The more I think about this theme, the more I realize how integral it is to One Piece. It's the beautifully defiant desperation of the downtrodden declaring, "If you don't laugh, you'll cry!" Oda depicts an unstoppable social phenomenon - that the oppressed laugh because they have to, to live - because it's their only way to keep going. And when they keep going, when they keep surviving, they live to see a brighter day, to see the brilliance of the dawn, to see the sun rise. It's Luffy, Ace and Sabo smiling through poverty, neglect and abuse by sticking together and clinging to the hope of setting sail. It's Usopp living in his own concocted absurdities until the day he can leave behind the village where brutal reality stole both of his parents from him. It's Saul teaching Robin to laugh, telling her to find friends, to keep living until she finds that brighter day. It is the SOUL of this story. So what if Toko's laughter touches a nerve with Orochi, or if we joke at Bezos's expense? The powerful have brought this upon themselves, but the weak will have the last laugh, because it's how we continue to live!
