@@CreateForFree Thank you for your help. I was just wondering if it is possible to create clones, then add a Bezier pen to the original piece and maneuver it so the affect is shown in clones, or do I need to create a group first , that is, add a Bezier pen to a design and group it, and then create clones? I have tried the latter one, and it works. However, the first option has not been working for me. Any advice? Also, would you be able to make a video on this topic? Your videos are fantastic!
I just had a look at adding paths to the original image. If you create your image and group it, you can then use tiled clones to duplicate it - the clones are placed on top of the original, so while the original is still selected you can raise it to the top, so it is easier to select and work on. I found the easiest way to add and adjust elements is to open up the Layers and Objects dialog box, you can then select the different element to work on there. If you want to add an element (maybe create a path with the Bezier tool) select the group in the dialog box then when you add the path it will be added to the group and duplicated in the clones. Selecting an element in a group in the dialog box is good because it allows you to use the selection tool to rotate the elements without ungrouping everything.
Wonderful explanation!!! I use inkscape usually for my scientific presentation. Yours push me to the next level!!!! Thanks a lot!
Glad to hear you're finding them useful.
Great tutorials, thank you very much! :)
You're welcome.
Great explanation!!!!!!
Thank you
Does Bezier pen work with clones?
Yep, Bezier pen, groups, gradients all work. So you can create a multi coloured design and use tile clones to duplicate it.
