    This is my 2nd Keurig coffee maker of this model. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first worked fine for more than 2 years, and I could still get a decent cup of coffee out of it if I fiddled with it when I decided to replace it. The problem I had with my first unit was this: When attempting to brew a cup of coffee, the unit would either keep brewing until the coffee was undrinkable or it would not run long enough and the coffee produced was way too strong. I cleaned the unit as best I could but it did not help. So in the end it was just too much trouble to get a good cup of coffee out of it, so I decided to replace it with a new one, which has been working great since I unpacked it.

    Great video and really useful. I've just had to retire my previous Delonghi automatic bean to cup and was looking to get the ECAM370.95.T as a modern direct replacement so my wife can still use it. But then I saw this one which had the best of both worlds in terms of manual milk for the latte art and the automatic milk.
    I'm still to make the final decision as this has given me food for throught 😊

    I have this machine, its taken me a while to understand and dial in settings to reach the optimal zone on the gauge. Ive found that when you change a grind setting you need to grind it again for it to show the change in your results. I cant stress enough though DO NOT BUY YOUR BEANS FROM A SUPERMARKET. Find a wholesaler and buy fresh beans, you will ABSOLUTELY see better results.

      At time 3:18 you will see the tamping lever being pulled down, it ensures the right amount of pressure is applied.

      This is only to make sure the coffee grounds are evenly distributed and the puck comes out looking clean and polished on the top. It will NOT affect your machine in any shape or form.

    Very interested in this machine but hoping you could help me with some questions. Does this machine have a programable on switch so that it can turned on automatically every day before I wake up? How hot can it produce an espresso shot? How many years does the warranty cover? What size is the portafilter? Thank you for the great content!

      No there is no auto on option. The unit does heat up very quickly indeed! Within minutes, so you will be good to go in no time.

      The machine has a warm up time of less than 5 seconds.
      However, you are recommended to turn on the machine, grind your coffee, tamp it, and so on and so forth, basically leaving it for a minute to heat up properly.
      You are also recommended to run a rinse program to make sure everything is heated up properly before brewing your shot.
      This machine has 5 temperature settings. The highest one gets up to 95ºC. No, it does not have an auto-on feature, but it does have an auto-off feature to conserve energy.
      The portafilter is 51mm.
      The warranty is 2+1, meaning 2 years out of the box, and an extra year if you register your machine.
      Hope this helps.

    Quick question, if I had pre-ground beans is there someway to skip the grind procedure and get the machine to brew straight away?

    • @techforever1970
      @techforever1970 2 года назад

      Ofcourse, you would just place the coffee in the portafilter, tamp it yourself, and just brew. You'll skip the whole grinding and self-tamping procedure, and use it as with any other machine. Hope this helps :)

    Hello!
    How do you know which coffee beans have oil and do not? Ive had a Saeco that was danaged because of that but it was an old machine so I purchased the Maestro and before i start anything I want to be sure im using the right type of beans

    • @Consiglioskitchenware
      @Consiglioskitchenware  2 года назад

      Great question!
      Non oily beans are matte in colour.
      Oily beans have a shine and an excess oil coating the bean.
      Always choose the coffee beans that are matte in colour, these are safe for the grinders.
      We have our own locally roasted beans available in Canada, they are always fresh and non oily.

    Hi !
    Pls correct me if I’m wrong, you said never use oily beans ? Why ?
    It could be a reason why i don’t reach optimal zone of the pressure. With the single shot and amount of coffee is 20.

    • @Consiglioskitchenware
      @Consiglioskitchenware  2 года назад +3

      Hi Vladimir,
      Oily beans will create a residue of oil inside the grinder. Over time this can gum up the grinder and impact its functionality. There is no cleaning tablet to clean the grinders at home, you would need to take it to a service centre for them to take apart and degrease.
      Hope that helps clarify for you.
      Have a great day!
      Ciao.

    • @Consiglioskitchenware
      @Consiglioskitchenware  2 года назад

      @@luismerida2921 Hi Luis, some oil is normal but it should not be excessively oily or shiny looking. This is usually the result of over roasting to hide impurities. I have been testing it mostly with Cappuccino and Latte and it seems to work only when the froth knob is set to the highest setting. I’m wondering if when setting my froth knob to medium or low, it’s somehow cutting off the steam or whatever to the milk.

    So I have a couple of questions about this machine. I know that the Latte Crema jug can be refrigerated with left over milk or dairy product in it. The question I have is does the frothing jug head have to be removed or can it be refrigerated while still connected to the frothing jug? The second question I have is can sugar or a sweetener be added to the frothing jug when it’s being run for Lattés, cappuccinos etc or is that not advisable?
    Looking forward to your reply, enjoying the videos and am seriously considering this machine. It’s between the La Specialista Maestro and the Philips 5400 LatteGo.
    Kevin.

      Hi Kevin, I did email you the response. For the others who may be viewing this here are my suggestions.
      a) ensure that the clean cycle is complete on the latte crema jug. After the cleaning cycle you can store the whole container in fridge.
      b) as the milk going into the frothing jug is cold, I would suggest to use liquid flavouring. Sugar may not dissolve completely.
      Thanks for the questions :)
