I remember watching this like 10 years ago when it came out, thinking I would never get to play with 3D printers, but I would just watch this and think about all the cool stuff I could make. Today I have my own 3D Printer. It's an older Artillery Sidewinder X1, but it's still an excellent printer for me. It has a build volume of 300x300x400mm. I've taken it apart and rebuilt it a couple dozen times. I've upgraded and repaired it many times over, and I'm pretty good at parametric 3D modeling. I make just cool things, useful things, big things, small things, things for decoration, things for other people, special containers to hold various things made out of different kind of materials. My dreams of 3D printing were definitely made a reality. The one thing I have never, ever printed, however, is a phone case 😂😂😂

None of what you just said, changes the fact, that it's ugly, has non-smooth edges and looks cheap. Why should I make a 3D printer from scratch? The printer she used is a commercial printer. She didn't make it.

you need 2 printers! first to print plastic bag for printer and second to print electric plate :P
