This was released in January 2002 and just 9 months later, Robbie Coltrane passed away in October. That made his statement in this reunion special all the more poignant "The legacy of the movies is that my children's generation will show them to their children. You can be watching it in 50 years time, easy. I'll not be here, sadly, but Hagrid will..." 😢
Alan Rickman's death in 2016 hit me the hardest. 😭I had been a fan of his since I first saw him in "Die Hard" (1988). After Severus Snape, my 2nd favorite is his performance as The Sheriff of Nottingham in "Robin Hood - Prince of Thieves" (1991). He is so over the top & simply hilarious in that film. You could possibly be a hatstall (when the hat takes a very long time to decide on a house because two or more houses are equally as good of a match, often resulting in the student making the choice) between gryffindor and slytherin.
If I remember correctly Professor McGonagall was the longest known hatstall between gryffindor and ravenclaw (5 whole minutes!?) before she ultimately became a gryffindor.

I just did this particular quiz for the first time, and the patronus info is fun and interesting. I got a calico cat which I very much liked the description/explanation of so I’ll take it lol.
I see that for the Fox it says “they are quick, intelligent and strongly ambitious. Although they are known for their cunning nature, they are very charismatic and easy to love. If your Patronus is a fox, you have an ability to think outside of the box and act quickly during emergency situations.” You got such a cool one👌

Your housemate is right about describing what Slytherins look for while answering such questions. When I answered the pathway question, all I could think about was how interesting and mysterious the dark alleyway looked. Plus, I'm a thrill seeker but not in the "going into the forest" kind because I think forest would have creatures, mosquitos, and I could potentially get lost (I like being safe or unsafe on my own terms). The dark alley just gave me crime and horror novel vibes, which I'm a big fan of. I think Slytherins are intrigued by mystery and opportunity. I love being a Slytherin!
Although the second time I took the quiz, I came out to be Ravenclaw. I still CHOOSE Slytherin. And I think our choices define us the most, as Dumbledore said. My Patronus was first a Phoenix, and then an Eagle. I love both, and I love the fact that they were both intelligent birds.

If you take the extended version of the house quiz, it will give you a breakdown of what percentage you fit in each house. This way, you can see what you are most out of all questions.

I'm not surprised that you got Gryffindor now but Slytherin in the past (a Slyterdor) -- I don't believe there is only 4 types of people in this world, as is there isn't only 1 facet in each of us. I remember that for the longest time, I was a Hufflepuff, through and through, no matter how many different tests I took and then one day I took a random quiz, just for fun, and got Slytherin. I was baffled at the time but looking back, I shouldn't have been surprised as I was transitioning into a new career and felt very determined, ambitious, and driven to prove my worth in the new position. That was the headspace that I brought with me when I took that random quiz. Just like they said that the world is not divided into "good people and death eaters," we are made of multitudes.
Thank you for sharing this journey you took with your community. There is something so special watching these films again but from the perspective of someone who is witnessing the story for the first time with fresh eyes.

The writer for the film The Count of Monte Cristo, has such a perfect response to individuals like those that critique a movie that’s based on a book. When they say why weren’t you more accurate to the book?
His response was, Thank You. That wasn’t my job. My job was to write a film. If you want a dead ringer for the book, go read the book. It’s a great book. It’s just not a movie.
So many times, we have to remember that. These are films. Not books. They are different mediums. If you want to enjoy the book, go read the book.

    • @erikoinenuori
      @erikoinenuori 24 дня назад

YES!! And a lot of the times people forget that the movies should usually be around 2 hours long which means that it is so hard, almost impossible to squeeze everything from the book into a 2-hour-film, especially if you don't want the film to feel rushed. We love all the meaningful conversations the characters have in the books, but sadly we can't fit all of them into a film that also has a lot of big action scenes (like the Deathly Hallows Part 2) which take more time to show and visualize on screen than reading it on paper.

  • @erikoinenuori
    @erikoinenuori 24 дня назад

I'm a Ravenclaw with doe as a Patronus (same as Lily's and Snape's) and my wand is Hawthorn wood with a unicorn hair core (coincidentally Draco has the same wood and core in his original wand), 14 and half inches long with surprisingly swishy flexibility. I recommend to look up what characters possibly have the same Patronus or wand details as you as it was interesting to look for mine! I've noticed in one of the Finnish Harry Potter forums I'm in that the most common Patronus there has been a dolphin and a cat. I've heard of many other Patronuses as well, but this was the first time when I saw someone getting a fox as their Patronus, so in my books I'd say it's one of the uncommon ones to get!

Harry Potter was such a big part of my childhood, the memories are great. It’s so bittersweet. I was 11 when the first movie was released, the same age you attend your first year at Hogwarts. I had the toys, games, books, posters hanging in my room, my entire bed set was even Harry Potter related. 😂 I consider myself lucky to have seen all of the films in theaters when they were released. I agree with Emma Watson, it feels like no time has past, but really a lot of time has past. I’m in my 30s now, and it all seems just like yesterday. I still enjoy reading the books from time to time, or watching the movies. It takes me back home. We are the true Harry Potter generation, and those of us part of that true generation will understand. I can’t even watch the movies without a box of tissues, some of the scenes just make me start crying. When Harry uses the patronus charm to protect himself and Sirius by the lake…I cry every time!!

Gosh i remember watching this last year. After growing up with the books and movies it waa incredibly emotional. I was doing pretty well until the "in memoriam" and then the "always" at the end absolutely finished me off. And we've unfortunately lost Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) and Michael Gambon (Dumbledore) since this came out. I remember everyone sharing the clip from this of Robbie saying he'll not be here but Hagrid will be 😭. Also he wasn't mentioned specifically but I was a big fan of Roger Lloyd-Pack who played Barty Crouch Sr in Goblet of Fire who unfortunately died quite young. He was in a sitcom I grew up watching (Vicar of Dibley..which was actually lead by Dawn French who played the fat lady in Prisoner of Azkaban. She was the one trying to crack a glass with her voice. She's a glorious human). Also very sweet seeing Dan talk about his hypothetical children since he just had his first child which is lovely. Dan Radcliffe is one of my favourite humans I just think he's the loveliest. You mention child actors struggling well he was one of them and I think struggled with alcohol for a while but he seems to be doing great now. Every time i see him i just want to be best friends with him. Absolutely lovely man.

Even though the audio is not great (considering being done at a university theater), the acting and music/songs make up for it. Dan saying "my hypothetical children" in the reunion, and NOW he has become a parent in April of this year so odd to just so recently he had said that, and now he IS a parent. Robby Coltrane saying "i won't be here, but Hagrid will", and then him passing just very shortly after that..RIP Robbie. All the ones that past...so sad. I ADORE Helena Bonham Carter..she has such a cheeky personality that bubbles under the surface all the time, and her playing Princess Margaret on the Crown OMG...there is a scene with her talking to Margaret Thatcher in the episode "The Blamoral Test" where she tells her she needs a time off work for perspective....Great job and thank you for choosing to look at this reunion. Ignorant means untaught or not being informed or instructed, not stupid. So it isn't as big an insult as some think. If you think about it, your wand sounds A LOT like Harry and Voldemort's wands...phoenix cores--rarest of cores (and weird that like Harry you could go either way Slytherin or Griffindor), but yours is closer to Harry's at both 11 ish inches, but Harry's wand was flexible. I myself am a Hufflepuff (dedicated, patient, loyal) Newt Scamander from Fantastic Beasts, and Cedric Diggory are Hufflepuffs, I have a MINK PATRONUS Those with the Mink patronus are very clever. Often humorous, those with this patronus can be very witty and a pleasure to be around. Conversely, those who have the Mink patronus can be a trickster, not to be trusted. People who conjure this patronus can be solitary in nature, spending lots of time alone, and my WAND is black walnut wood, unicorn hair core, is 12 and 1/4 inches long, and is unyielding in flexibility.

It's funny that all your answers were the exact same as mine except the question about going into the woods or the alley. And your explanation of how your friend explained why a slytherin would choose the dark alley and not the woods was exactly my thought process of why i picked the alley, I hadn't really thought about it until now. I got slytherin in the end, its just funny that that one question was the difference between slytherin and gryffindor.

I'm a Hufflepuff and my patronus is a wood mouse (lol I know, I would have loved something cool like a fox or wolf but alas no but I've excepted it). My wand is Hawthorne wood with a Phoenix Core 12 and 1/4" length, quite bendy flexibility. Very interesting description as the Hawthorne wood wand "The wandmaker Gregorovitch wrote that hawthorn ‘makes a strange, contradictory wand, as full of paradoxes as the tree that gave it birth, whose leaves and blossoms heal, and yet whose cut branches smell of death.’ While I disagree with many of Gregorovitch’s conclusions, we concur about hawthorn wands, which are complex and intriguing in their natures, just like the owners who best suit them. Hawthorn wands may be particularly suited to healing magic, but they are also adept at curses, and I have generally observed that the hawthorn wand seems most at home with a conflicted nature, or with a witch or wizard passing through a period of turmoil. Hawthorn is not easy to master, however, and I would only ever consider placing a hawthorn wand in the hands of a witch or wizard of proven talent, or the consequences might be dangerous. Hawthorn wands have a notable peculiarity: their spells can, when badly handled, backfire." I find that fascinating cuz I consider myself an extremely boring person lol.

Yay I'm so glad you did this! 🥳 I find it so interesting to watch someone else answer questions and hear their reasoning ❤ I thought you were going to be a Hufflepuff for sure because of how emotionally intelligent you've been throughout these reactions. You spotted things straight away and were able to see through the character's actions to understand why they're feeling the way they are ❤ I loved it! You also seem to always want to do things for the greater good and help those in need. Knowing now that your birthday is 2nd July, that makes a bit more sense 😜 Cancer's unite! My birthday is 17th July (Cancer), I'm a Hufflepuff, my wand is ebony wood, unicorn core, 13 1/4 inches, quite bendy flexibility. My patronus is a dapple grey mare ❤ Which is so lovely because my rocking horse I had as a child was a dapple ❤ I'm also an INFP (mediator) on the 16 personalities quiz. I tell you this because I remember you asking in a previous video that you wanted to know what we all were. I also love doing personality quizes just like you. I mean I already know who I am and am very secure in that fact, but it's nice to see the results none-the-less. It's kinda like "Yeh, you got that right, well done quiz master" haha 😂 Any way, great videos! I love your personality and your reactions and I look forward to checking out more of your content. Big love from Manchester UK xXx

    A Fellow Griff!!
The anniversary special always makes me cry. It hits hard to see how special all of it was not only for the cast and crew but for everyone that grew up with the movies. I'm the same age basically as the main trio and I remember every movie release and being in queues and all of that. It felt so great to be somewhat part of a community and for them, it must have been insane. They had to deal with a lot of sht as well, unfortunately bu I love that they were always able to count with each other and that they had fantastic cast members to help and advise them not only acting wise but also how to deal with the crazyness of it all.
Your results were pretty fun hah
I'm a Gryffindor with a Ragdoll Cat patronus and a Larch wood with a dragon core 11 ¾" and surprisingly swishy flexibility wand btw

Aww great Patronus! Mine was a horse. Specfically a bay mare...so a female horse mainly brown in colour with black accents. Which i absolutely love! I always joke my patronus would be a giraffe but i don't think that was an option 🤣🤣 I think horse is fairly close to that all things considered though. My dad got an Irish Wolf Hound which is basically the dog you see Sirius as in Order of the Phoenix and I think that's a great one and fits him well 🤣. There are some very amusing options. Shoutout to the people who got salmon 🤣 but hey..they're strong and persistent and ambitious fish 😁

I loved this video! Congratulations! You not only got sorted into Slytherin, but you are also now sorted into Gryffindor. Yes, it is possible! I got sorted into both houses myself I have two more houses to get to. I believe I have a little bit quality from every house from my youth to my adulthood. That is a cool Patronus you got too. Oh may I suggest you physically read the books along with listening to the audio version only because I know you would lean more to audio, and I would preferably read a book, you would have the best of both worlds; for me reading the book I discovered it was what I call a "page turner" I found it difficult to put the books down, because I had to go to work, get back to work, had something to look forward to afterwork just so I can read more and turn over more pages! I did the same while reading Lord of the Rings and any other book that took me away another place and time. You'll see slight differences in the characters along with the characters you didn't get see. Enjoy it all! ☮ and 💕

Proud Ravenclaw with a beechwood & unicorn hair wand & a dapple gray stallion patronus.
Wizardmore site has an extended House quiz that shows the percentage of each House. I was over 50% Ravenclaw with Hufflepuff coming in 2nd at 24% & Slytherin was the lowest at 4%.
You should spend more time with animals. They are smart & they have their own individual personalities. I’ve spent my entire life around horses (explains Patronus) as well as dogs, cats, cows, chickens & various other birds & reptiles. I’ve even had fish. If you spend time with the same animal & are receptive to that animal & observant enough you will see their personality & intelligence.
I’ve known animals smarter than some humans I’ve had to deal with & I’ve had pets & companion animals with more diverse personalities than people.

We can acknowledge that fact that there are far better writers and novels... more intricate story lines than Harry Potter. But what sets it apart is it feels home. It gives a sense of warmth...
I was blessed to be part of those moments when the whole world was anticipating for the release of the last 3 books that people were lining up at twilight outside bookstores just to get copies on release day. And fans camping out for days in Trafalgar Square to see the cast one last time during the premiere of the 8th movie and the end of an Era.
At this point, the number of years I've been a Potterhead is more than half of how long I've lived 😂 And yeah, millions of us are like that.

The series has something for almost everyone. Surely there is a character or a theme that resonates with each person's life. In my case in many ways I'm very much like Hermione but at the end of the day it's Harry's story that resonates for me. I grew up in a broken, fragmented home with a lot of instability and no father (I was barely 4 when he died). I was quite grown when I first read the series but it really helped me to be a grandfather in some ways.

I think at the end of your hogwarts sorting when you described why you would choose Slytherin, you have shown a lot of simularities with Horace Slughorn. Slughorn was of corse a Slytherin who liked surround himself with famous and ambitious people who he starts connecting with as their teacher in school. He has a lot of empathy and he never joined the dark side even though Voldemort tried to hire him. He also never strived for power himself because he prefered to be in second line. Did you mean something like this when you said you would like to be surrounded by ambitious people?
Of corse Slughorn was also the one to give Voldemort information about Horcurxes. But unlike in the sixth movie - young Tom Riddle wasn't suspecious in any way. He was more like the charming, gifted student we saw in the second movie and I can remember that you were also surprised when it turned out, that he was actually the darkest wizard of all time.
The only one to know about Riddles dark side was of corse Dumbledore who saw glimpses of it in him when he first told Riddle he was a wizard.

House quizzes are so interesting. Obviously as you say, it's not the be all and end all...but it's fun. Having grown up with the stories I like to try and guess people's houses. You've always given me Ravenclaw vibes but obviously I don't know you all I've done is watch some videos 🤣. I definitely think it is quite easy for them to be interchangeable. It's interesting for me personally as I very strongly indentify as a Hufflepuff. I always knew I was going to get it and I did. Just the general feeling of what comes with that house felt right with me. As someone who feels this way, i find it quite easy to see someone flipping between Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin as I feel they hold more similar. I think, for example, it would be quite difficult to flip between Hufflepuff and Slytherin...but maybe Hufflepuff and Gryffindor and I know a lot of people feel quite Ravenclaw/Hufflepuff (I'm sure it is possible but from my personal perspective i find it difficult to see). That said, i think i am a fairly stereotypical Hufflepuff which is why i found it so easy. Cedric was a Hufflepuff...personally you couldn't pay me enough to put my name in the Goblet of Fire or...even play Quidditch to be honest 🤣🤣. I'm not particularly after adventure, I'm not particularly brave, certainly not in the traditional sense, i'm not rebellious...and I'm fine with all these things 🤣. I'm usually quite good at guessing. That said, the person i know best in the world is my dad and I have absolutely no idea for him. I got him to do the test once and he got Slytherin. He's an incredible person so certainly not a bad Slytherin. I think he could very easily flip around though I'm not sure he'd ever feel my version of Hufflepuff. He always laughs when I talk about being one 🤣. I probably feel like Gryffindor is the best house for "a combination of everything". I'd certainly love to hear from anyone who has always felt a strong connection with a house that's not Hufflepuff and felt that they would always get it and that they did, in the same way I feel about Hufflepuff 🤣🤣. As I say, all of this is not binding...i just, like you, enjoy learning about people and myself through these silly things 🤣. Watching your though process around the answers was interesting. I personally am not looking for intelligent conversation from animals i just want to be able to ask my cat what he wants and tell him it's only temporary when we take him to the vet. Also be around most individual animal for long enough they definitely all have personalities. My cat is called Neville, after Neville Longbottom. He's definitely a Gryffindor hahahah so we chose well. Anyway I'll shut up now.
