Hi Denise, I'm 71 and was diagnosed with Graves disease in 1989. Radioactive iodine killed my thyroid off in a matter of weeks (suppose to take 5 to 15 years to do that). Felt dead for 15 years on Synthroid. (The horror stories I could share.) After listening to a research chemist who specializes in autoimmune diseases, I switched to Armour Thyroid. Within two weeks I was back to singing in the car, the energy was through the roof. My first thoughts were "where is this energy coming from?" I hadn't felt this way in fifteen years. I've been on Armour for 21 years now and what a difference it has made. I have a life now.

@@mercuryinretro Graves & Hashi are serious autoimmune illnesses left unchecked. I have Hashi and my goitrous right lobe was removed in 2015, and that period afterward was an awful time healthwise. I’ve taken Armour Thyroid since 1978, and decades down the road, when the company changed hands and the formula changed, Synthroid (Levothyroxine) was added, but Synthroid made me very sick. A new Endo prescribed Tirosint, which is also Levothyroxine, but without the fillers. Apparently, I was allergic to the fillers added to Synthroid. I’ve done much better on the combo of Tirosint & Armour.
Not all Endos are willing to prescribe Armour. Luckily mine isn’t one of them. I’m 76 and was Dx’d at age 30.

Real pig thyroid (Armour) vs. synthetic Synthroid makes all the difference in the T-3 T-4 conversion. I’m almost 60 and have been dealing with the same issue for 20 years. Not nearly as long as you have. I’m glad to hear someone finally put it together for you.
What bothers me, is 50% of Americans have autoimmune other illnesses that were very rare or nonexistent when I was growing up. 50% of children are diabetic!
They are poisoning our food with seed oils, pesticides and too much sugar. It’s quite sickening when you think about what these big corporations are doing for financial gain. They teamed up with the medical industry to keep people sick and taking expensive medications for a lifetime.
      Lifetime revenue off of humans.😔

I was on Armour for a number of years. I didn't feel better, but I didn't feel worse, and was told to avoid synthroid for my situation. One thing it did help with was edema. I'm not on anything now, because my numbers are "within normal perimeters" but wonder if I might benefit from it now.

@@agresticumbra Every person’s body is different and what works for some, in many cases, may not benefit the next person. If you are blessed enough to be free of a Big Pharma medication, this is something to be celebrated. Please don’t unnecessarily go on something unless it’s absolutely necessary. It’s frustrating that in today’s western society, there is continual brainwashing for us to believe that it is normal to be on several pharmaceutical medications, especially as we get older. Most medications have adverse side effects that eventually show up, and doctors are trained to prescribe you another drug to treat the side effect until it turns into a vicious cycle, and you end up scratching your head, wondering how you ended up so sick and taking numerous medications. Most of today’s doctors are actually incentivized to get their patients on as many life long medications, as opposed to helping their patients get off of meds. Medical schools receive countless funding to train these med students not to treat the entire body as an entire metabolic system, (which we are comprised of) but break us down into specialized categories for treating just parts of the body with surgery or drugs. They are never taught about the importance of nutrition and how 98% of these relatively new illnesses we see today can be attributed to poor diet and little to no exercise..
They are all about lifetime revenue at the expense of our health. It’s a very sad and evil. Please consider yourself fortunate for every medication you are able to get free from.

Denise, my daughter who is 50 suffers from the same thing you do. She works full-time as an office manager for a large dental office. So far this year she has had a son graduate from high school, and her daughter
High school. Mother-in-law was very ill for several months at the beginning of the year. I say this to tell you that stress brings on her pain, aches and tiredness when she is home. She sleeps all afternoon. The same on the weekends. At times she hurts so bad down her legs that she sees a rheumatologist for prednisone injections into the sides of her upper thigh, on both legs. Of most of her pain. Stress is the biggest factor that sends her down the tubes. She weighs about the same that you do and she is beautiful like you.
We have done research into autoimmune diseases and they are hereditary. My mother, my grandmother suffered this most of their life after 50.
I pray for you and those that suffer from autoimmune diseases. More people are understanding this as time goes on, but you're right. The doctors just poo poohed it and said it's all in your head. Or they would say exercise more, join a gym. Wishing you some relief real soon. See what you can eliminate in any volunteering that you're doing. And I pray for your husband to be able to stay working. That is a huge stress factor. Much love, sharon

Denise be careful, with symptoms, I was having similiar issues with Thyroid levels, lots of my symptoms, went from hypo to 10 in no time, felt awful, I was feeling so many symptoms prior, burning in breast, palpations, severe fatique, high stress and anxiety, you name it. My home flooded due to hurricane Harvey during it all, had to be gutted and rebuilt, just so much. Anyway be careful and you might think about seeing a cardiologist. I wound up having a heart attack during this. Luckily, they were able to stent, as it was my RCA artiary was 90% blocked. Not trying to scare you, but you have so many symptoms that I was dealing with. My prayers go out to you, hope you feel better soon. Thanks for all your hard work and insight. 🙏🙏🙏

I'm 68 yo. Went for so, so many years with undiagnosed Hashimoto's, suffered greatly, doctors were of no help. Finally, I demanded the antibodies portion of the thyroid tests! My Dr at that time answered with,"Did you ever see the psych we talked about?". I was furious and started listing my textbook symptoms until she agreed. Sure enough, came back severe Hashimoto's. I ended up having to get my thyroid removed (3 opinions)... and the surgeon said it fell apart in her hands, it was so destroyed by not being properly treated 😢
Hold your ground! Demand tests. Keep changing doctors if you need to!!
Since my total thyroidectomy, it's been a constant struggle to get my levels right, changing meds and doses every 3-6 months for the past 8 years. Not fun. I'm going to try Paloma Health and see if their results match my clinic's!!

I’ve suffered from anxiety for a long time , after the birth of my last child.
It’s absolutely devastating when you don’t know what’s happening to you.
My doctor said it was post natal depression ( for 18 years!?!?!)
I was given Diazepam which I became addicted to.
I gradually weaned myself off them which was hellish.
Eventually I was diagnosed with Graves after 18 years of crippling anxiety.
I was labelled a hypochondriac, over anxious mother, attention seeker.
My doctor told me to try meditation. Seriously.
I am feeling better now but the fear of the anxiety coming back is really scary.
Sending prayers from the UK 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Denise , I had thyroid issues all my life (horrible hair ) I have graves desease! I have been in remission for long time and being stable! I am weaned of medication completely! I am not saying not to take medication at all, specially till you get stable! What really helped me is being very particular with my choice of food! What gave huge improvement is animal base diet , eggs , butter , beef lamb and some organic fruit ! Every thing grass-fed pasture raised possibly organic! The fruit strictly organic!I am 63 and obviously had this for a long time , but discovered it when I was in my 40ties! You know is un autoimmune! And when you have one the other one gonna pop up! My long research have convinced me that everything come down to gut health! In this case the body imuniteti is compromised through so-called leaky gut! Elimination diet and proper food took care of me ! You mention keto but just to be real having greens in your diet would not help because of oksalates which effects every inflammation in this case hyper thyroid which can be Graves desease! I would encourage you to look at the animal base animal base community, they have some good doctors there! I follow Paul Saladino! Good luck

Philippians 4:6-7 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
1 John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.
Matthew 21:22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Psalm 18:6 In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry came before Him, even to His ears.

I have Hashi thyroiditis, anxiety/depression, panic attacks, night sweats, other autoimmune illness, etc. too. Autoimmune diseases are hard to get diagnosed first of all, and living with them is very difficult. Constant highs & lows. Although, I’ve heard of people curing their Hashi, I’ve not had that experience. Not that I haven’t tried. 45 yrs. of this and it’s still ongoing!

It is possible that through your recent significant weight loss and dietary changes you have reduced your overall inflammation and put the inflammatory disease Hashimoto’s into remission. If this is the case you would no longer need to be taking Synthroid or a similar thyroid replacement drug. That being said, it is possible that you have cured yourself of thyroid disease and no longer need any medication. This has happened to many people with Hashimoto’s disease who are on a very low carb or no carb diets.

Prayers for you my dear. My sister goes through a lot of this. So many physicians have no clue, they are pushed so hard by their employer and HAVE to see so many patients each day to meet a quota or they get docked money. The mega hospitals own these doctors by contracts. Hardly ever will you see a physician working for themselves anymore. All goes back to money and time is money. I have been a nurse for 30 years in the hospital setting. I have seen this change. I see the change in the new doctors coming out and most really care and want to make a difference in patients lives. Then after about 10 years, or less now, they are getting burned up just like us nurses are by the hospital administration who owns us all. Behind them are the insurance companies. Probably if medicare/medicaid and insurance would actually be worth the money and pay out what is paid in, people would be healthier and happier. I think insurance is the root of evil.

I cannot even tolerate any type of thyroid medication to help regulate my hypothyroidism/Hashimotos so I am struggling right now and I was sitting here thinking how bad I felt and how many things I have to do today that need to be done but I have no energy to do. It is such a struggle and it’s so scary because I am divorced for many years and disabled from multiple spinal surgeries and my son who is 32 has been disabled since he was 14 and he is very sick right now. We can barely afford to make it so I know that type of anxiety too. Thank you for sharing and letting us know that you are ok and we are not alone in the way we feel and I hope that you get to feeling better and can get everything situated in your life because you are a much needed and wanted woman in the Wig community and I don’t know you personally, but I believe you are a beautiful person inside and out! Prayers for you🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕

I am not only a Wig Sister but a Hashimoto’s Sister. I have been through the struggle and yes there is light at the end. You have held so many of us Wig Sisters up like myself when we were feeling at our lowest with no self confidence, no hope, and no self love. Please know so many of us right now and always will be holding you up when you feel like you can no longer stand through our love, thoughts and prayers. You have been such a blessing to so many. I have had hair loss since I was 10 years old. You helped me find my confidence in June of this year at 55 when I saw you being your authentic, raw self and I realized I wasn’t alone with hair loss. I thank you! I’m praying for your healing and that God will take care of each of your concerns you talked about.❤

Oh Denise, I’m so sorry that you’re struggling. I can empathize with how you’re feeling. I’m currently undergoing chemotherapy and immunotherapy for stage 3 breast cancer and the immunotherapy has really kicked me down. Like you, I’m experiencing a racing heart and get short of breath even when trying to accomplish the simplest of tasks. It’s frustrating, so fatiguing, and, at times, scary. I hope that you can get your levels regulated so that you’re feeling better, soon. Sending love and healing your way. ❤

Hi As I watched your video I was sending you Reiki, hopefully it won't make you feel hotter! You are so correct about docs not listening or being rigid in their diagnosis. I didn't discover I had narcolepsy until I was 40 years old and now I think I have had it all my life. Because I am a Type A and stubborn I covered it up for years, until I couldn't any longer. Then I found out a week later I had a severe case of fibromyalgia (this was before it was a commonly known condition) and that doc told me there was nothing to be done - that I just had to live with it. This is when Reiki entered my life and has helped me cope for so many years. Years later found I have Hypothyroidism and lately feel something is "off" because my energy levels are even lower than normal. Thanks for the information - you have no idea how many lives you touch. God has given you so many challenges and you have still reached out to help others. We all thank you. Nona

Thanks for sharing this! I’ve been through much of the same. Developed HORRIBLE panic attacks at 29 and really became agoraphobic as I was afraid Togo anywhere with my 3 small babies! I got straightened out after many years with an endocrinologist and a psychiatrist specializing in panic disorder. Such a road full of hills and valleys…. We are pretty confident my anxiety problems stemmed from my Graves Disease. I am 66 now and basically ok…just tired a lot. Will be praying for you! 😊

Paloma is wonderful, I enjoy working with them. In fact I like to compare my results with my primary doctor orders results. I find I feel better when I take the Daily Thyroid Care supplements regularly. I had to start my antidepressant again (Lexapro) a very small dose, half of the lowest dose takes my anxiety and panic attacks away. I used to experience the palpations, sweating and dizziness early on. My dose used to change often. Wishing you the best in this journey to well-being

Prayed for you, Denise! I do understand the overwhelming non-stop sweating. I know I've mentioned it to you before. My family doesn't get that I cannot be outdoors in the hot summer because it's much worse. I don't even have to go outside to sweat. Not sure if mine is due to my Hypothyroidism though. I believe mine is the CIDP and nerve-related because my hands and feet get so hot, burning like they're on fire, then I start sweating all over. It's so miserable.
I also understand the heart and anxiety issues. I suffer with SVT (Supra Ventricular Tachycardia). I had one episode that woke me and went non-stop until 5 in the afternoon. My blood pressure was extremely high. I know I should have gone to the ER, but I've had so many of those and always think they'll pass. Then I had the episode last year that scared me so badly and I had to go...my mouth was numb on one side and I couldn't walk or use my hands! I was in the hospital for a week. We really have to listen to our bodies.
I'm so glad you're getting some answers. I just hope you feel better soon! Take good care! I love you dearly! ❤️ 🙏 ❤️

Praying for you sweet sister. I have gone through all of this as well, so totally get where you are coming from. I am blessed to have doctors who do listen to me and are willing to let me go against the medical grain when I want to try 'natural' remedies. My cholesterol was totally out of whack and my dr wanted me to take statins. I knew my thyroid could be causing this so I started taking natural things to get my cholesterol back down. It not only worked, but also is helping to bring my thyroid back to where it should be! I will continue to keep you in my prayers. I probably won't meet you here on earth, but one day... when we get to heaven, I hope I'll meet you in person.

Same process I went through - fast heartbeat to hyperthyroid to horrible anxiety then into pre-menopause. I would be happy then cry for no reason - then had a hysterectomy and immediately after I felt normal after so many years.. No more anxiety and panic attacks. I think there is a direct connection with thyroid and menopause. What I can say as I have helped many women friends - this does end - you will feel like a kid again - the anxiety will go away - I believe when you finish menopause will be the key. When no longer periods you will feell normal. Yes, we all unique and you have found great medical help. Bless you. Thyroid I take two levothyroid 100MCG and liothyronine 5MCG.(my thyroid was over active - heart racing - and in those days they radiated (killed) the thyroid gland) so that placed me in low thyroid just the opposite. The high thyroid part of the horrific anxiety attacks combined with hormones of going through menopause. Hope this helps. We are not crazy - this will pass!
