While you continue to treat Kurds like 2nd class citizens and attack them in another state what do you expect countries to do? Also Turkey back the ethnic cleansing of the Armenians (again)
There's always blatant Turkophobia on this channel. By not showing Turkey as a NATO member, and not even mentioning the fact that Turkey has supported Ukraine since 2014, (and was sending billions of dollars worth of arms while Germany offered to send helmets and Macron was cosying up to Putin) is done on purpose to make it seem more nefarious than it is. This was similar to the Nagorno-Karabakh situation, in which you mentioned Armenian's leaving the region after the war, but failed to mention how it was illegally annexed by Armenia and thousands of Azeris were butchered in the 90s, with several million being made refugees. If you honestly want to be a neutral channel, you need to get out of your tiny westoid Anglo-box and views of 10% of the world, and at least attempt to see how the other 90% of the world looks at geopolitics, because this is sloppy and basically propaganda.
Turkey hasn’t been showing itself as a NATO member for some time, it rides the fence which strategically makes sense. Turkey supporting Ukraine in 2014 is an outgrowth of combating the threat of Russian coastal encroachment to Turkish dominance. Erdogan used the Swedish as a way to get concessions just like playing NATO and Russia against one another to benefit itself in the canal project into the Black Sea.
There is one piece of fake news here. Turkey didn't denied black sea access to British ships. First off, UK donated those ship last year. And According Montreux convention, Both Russian and Ukrainian ships can't use Turkish Straits. And According Head of Ukrainian navy, They didn't ask for passage. So Ships were coming to Turkey and that was their destination. Secondly, This video should have mention, Turkey was also building 4 Corvettes for Ukrainian Navy. Billion dollar naval deal between Turkey and Ukraine was important.
Not really, they are facing a massive brain drain. Almost every educated Turk uni student is desperate to move to another country. Their standard of living due inflation due to growing an army to big for their GDP is causing alot of unrest.
You skipped the fact that Türkiye is building ships for Ukrainian Navy and Bayraktar and other Turkish drones are made with Ukrainian technology transfers. Türkiye refuses access to the Russian Navy ships because those ships are not registered to Black Sea ports. The latter policy and Ukrainian attacks on Russian navy literally crippled the Russian naval capacity in the Black Sea.
UKRAINE hasn't sunk a single Rus Ship. they have all been sunk by NATO operations. NATO weapons used in NATO planned and run operations. Moskova was shot by NASAMs in a UK operation and the UAAVs/Naval drones were filmed being imported via Poland. The Ger government outed the UK Military being based in Odessa where they run the operation using ISRO from US P8s and Globalhawks in the Black Sea, The only operations Rus need the BS Navy for is PGM strikes and only a single cruise missile carrier has been sunk. And why is Ukraine "without a navy"? Funny how that's never brought up in NATO media. The entire UA BS Navy, including 50K sailors+officers and the FIFTH largest Fleet in Europe, defected to the Russian Federation when Crimea seceded from UA in 2015. And no they weren't forced. The UA AF bases stayed with the coup Kiev Gov and RF freely allowed them to take all Aircraft and equipment to mainland UA.
@@King_Scorpia_IV Russia agreed not to invade Ukraine, and we know how that worked out. Biggest mistake they made was giving up their nuclear weapons in good faith, and this is how they are rewarded.
@@SubjectiveFunny I hear this argument too often, but let's just be real, even if Ukraine had nuclears now, would they use them? If they use nuclears that would destroy entire country and start ww3 so even if they wanted to use west wouldn't allow it and in the end perhaps allow Russia to take control of Ukraine just to avoid nuclear catastrophy.
On the other hand - if they aren’t on good footing with Russia, the whole sea will be unusable (for everyone and especially damaging for Turkey‘s position). So it is a give and take - without working together, the sea loses its value.
Türkiye is doing very well by not letting America and other invaders into the Black Sea. In addition, when PKK terrorists launched missile attacks against Turkiye from Syria, the USA and Germany withdrew their air defense systems from Turkiye and left Turkiye in a difficult situation. Despite the PKK terrorists who have been massacring civilians in Turkey for 40 years, the USA and Europe have always taken a stance against Turkey.

Otherwise this area would turn into something like Persian Gulf today... NATO is sometimes becoming a military organisation to protect itself against (albeit all decisions are supposed to be unanimously taken). - Türkiye helped Georgia with building an air base, which was immediately destroyed by Russia during its annexation of Abhasia and Ossetia. - There is also a pipeline between Samsun (city in BlackSea) through Ceyhan (town in Mediterrenean Sea), which is being used by Russia together with Kazakhtan and Azerbaijan oil exports. @@ButcherOfBeek also wrong informations. For example gas exploration of Turkey in Black Sea is not related with UA-RU war, EEZ of Turkey is same since Soviet Era. So I didnt understand why this guys love come from to the channel.
Turkey declared a 200-mile EEZ in the Black Sea in 1986 and subsequently defined its borders through an exchange of letters with the USSR and an agreement with Bulgaria in 1997. The Organisation of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), a regional economic cooperation organisation, was established with the Istanbul Summit held on 25 June 1992 under the leadership of Turkey and its Permanent Secretariat, which was opened in 1994, is located in Istanbul. BSEC has 13 members, namely Albania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bulgaria, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, North Macedonia, Romania, Russian Federation, Serbia, Turkey, Greece, Ukraine and Turkey. Turkey is searching for gas within its own borders in the Black Sea. There is no violation of the rights of Russia or other Black Sea coastal states. There is no reason for them to feel uncomfortable.
Throughout history, we have fought with Russians for centuries, and the victor of these wars has always been Western Europe. Even in World War I, if we had lost the Battle of Gallipoli, Western forces would have passed through the straits and reached Russia, preventing the October Revolution. Russians and Turks have now realized this. Of course, there may be occasional tensions and regional rivalries, which are natural. However, there will never be a winner in a Russian-Turkish war; the winner will always be Europe because Europeans do not like either Turks or Russians. Therefore, Russians and Turks are a balancing factor. If they were to go to war, both civilizations would lose.
The way things look now, Ukraine is close to controlling the entirity of the Black Sea, even though it doesn't have a navy. Turkey won't let combatant ships through from the Mediterranean, of any nation. That's ancient policy.
The black sea has a regional importance, I guess, but unlike the mediterranean or red sea, it hasn't a huge importance worldwide since it has no direct access to oceans.
I would not be surprised to see in the near future for Ukraine and Turkey to form some kind of agreement or alliance in the Black Sea to keep Russia in check to the benefit of both countries at the expense of Russia.
I think Ukraine also have oil reserves in their own EEZ that they’d like to tap into. No doubt if they can capitalise on Turkish naval security, it’d be a economic boon for them.
It's quite possible if (and when) the war ends with Ukraine staying out of Nato. Otherwise there will be a sort of automatic alliance anyway, under Nato.
In the Black Sea, the borders are definite and there is no tension over them. The rising power of Russia in the Black Sea is not something Turkey desires. Restricting warships from entering the Black Sea is in the interest of both Turkey and Ukraine.
Curious to see more of this from the Ukrainian perspective, more so they’ve been hitting pretty hard for Crimea, but how much do they have ahead of them?

I wonder if this is any precedence that physical naval warships will play a more insignificant roll due to newer improvements in naval warfare. Just how air craft carriers made battleships obsolete, drones and missles seem to have made the idea of ships even more redundant. There will always be a need for em.
Big applause to your points. Yes, this channel weirdly skewed and unprofessional most of the time!
Exactly what I think. Well said my friend.
W.
Absolutely
Turkey is good in performing the balancing act.
because you have to do it
Not really, they are facing a massive brain drain. Almost every educated Turk uni student is desperate to move to another country. Their standard of living due inflation due to growing an army to big for their GDP is causing alot of unrest.
For ordinary People in Turkey it's like an Elephant in the glass house
You skipped the fact that Türkiye is building ships for Ukrainian Navy and Bayraktar and other Turkish drones are made with Ukrainian technology transfers. Türkiye refuses access to the Russian Navy ships because those ships are not registered to Black Sea ports. The latter policy and Ukrainian attacks on Russian navy literally crippled the Russian naval capacity in the Black Sea.
I also thought that these factors must be listed. Especially when you one third of your analysis is an advertisement of brilliant))
UKRAINE hasn't sunk a single Rus Ship. they have all been sunk by NATO operations. NATO weapons used in NATO planned and run operations. Moskova was shot by NASAMs in a UK operation and the UAAVs/Naval drones were filmed being imported via Poland. The Ger government outed the UK Military being based in Odessa where they run the operation using ISRO from US P8s and Globalhawks in the Black Sea,
The only operations Rus need the BS Navy for is PGM strikes and only a single cruise missile carrier has been sunk.

I love this new host! Her pronunciation and delivery is consistently great.
Turkey has controlled the Bosporus since it emerged from the ashes of the Ottoman Empire, I think Turkey wins control of the Black Sea by default...
No, it belongs to Russia. Stop your disgusting anti-Putin lies.
It has massive worldwide importance - nearly 20% of all the worlds barley and 50% of all sunflower oil comes out of the black sea.
Ukraine is going be lucky if they remain on the coast of black sea. Unfortunately
well it happened before war.
turkey and ukraine started to do joined military establishments.
i think this war was expected.
@@ozgurd5920yep they also tried to pit turkey against russia in that way hoping ukrn will go unnoticed
It's quite possible if (and when) the war ends with Ukraine staying out of Nato. Otherwise there will be a sort of automatic alliance anyway, under Nato.
I have to say, tldr legit is becoming my main news hub…
Well done Türkiye
In the Black Sea, the borders are definite and there is no tension over them. The rising power of Russia in the Black Sea is not something Turkey desires. Restricting warships from entering the Black Sea is in the interest of both Turkey and Ukraine.
It is good to see new faces.
Especially when they're fit
@@epjarvis1285 oh gah dam 😳
A solid and unbiased analysis - good job guys!
Not turkey Turkiye. Country's name accepted by NATO and BM. That is the official name. That's not a professional channel i think.
It's Turkey 🦃
Brilliant as ever. Thanx!
Curious to see more of this from the Ukrainian perspective, more so they’ve been hitting pretty hard for Crimea, but how much do they have ahead of them?
I might have miss understood you. But I understood the question as what they have ahrad of them to take thr Island back.
The answer is.... everything. That dream died with the last Ukrainian offensive. They wont get the Island in this war. And probably not for the next 100 years
I will direct you to the population collapse of Ukrn video(search it) then the most landmined country in world then can US take on growing chinese influence(cause US seems like prefers taking Russia some reason)
Brilliant! (In more ways than one.... gonna look into the data science learning too!)
“To try everythi- bla. To try everything…” 😂 8:03
Somethings just never change
Well observed.
TÜRKİYE COMPLETELY KNOWS THAT What happened in Syria and Iraq and even in Afghanistan and Libya are THE LAST CRUSADE ATTACKS formatted according to the conditions of the 21st Century.
AND TURKEY ALSO KNOWS THAT NATO IS A CRUSADER ALLIANCE AND THAT WHEN THERE IS AN ATTACK ON TÜRKİYE, NATO WILL NEVER COME TO IT'S HELP. TURKEY HAS BEEN FIGHTING THE pkk TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, WHICH IS TRYING TO DIVIDE OUR COUNTRY FOR 40 YEARS. WESTERN NATO ALLIES NEVER HELPED TÜRKİYE IN THIS STRUGGLE. ON THE CONTRARY, THEY GAVE WEAPONS TO THE pkk TERRORIST ORGANIZATION. THEY PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY FOR THIS TERRORIST ORGANIZATION TO WORK FREELY. HOW SHOULD TÜRKİYE TRUST THIS NATO?
Minor nitpick. "Literal" and "Littoral" are very easy to distinguish when reading but sound extremely similar when spoken. You might want to use different phrasing in the future when talking about countries that share a common body of water.
Way too much geography for putin to remain in power over .
No worries nor he doesnt want black sea turks can have half of it heck turks can even have the international waters for all putin cares. Your wishes are cool
Most fascinating country on earth.
It's incredible how spectacularly bad this war has been for Russia.
It has been worse for Ukrainians, don't ignore the victims.
How long this constant jumping ? This channel itself posted Russia wasnt powerful even before ukrn it was losing influence and you are saying it had power to lose after ukrn ?

For everyone debating this in the comments: this presenter is Nadja, NOT Georgina. And she’s done a couple of segments but she’s fairly new.
What interesting news
I wonder if this is any precedence that physical naval warships will play a more insignificant roll due to newer improvements in naval warfare. Just how air craft carriers made battleships obsolete, drones and missles seem to have made the idea of ships even more redundant.
There will always be a need for em. But I wouldnt be surprised if fleet sizes decreased because they are so vulnerable in the modern age.
Who's this beautiful British lady giving us the best news or the news I guess? my God
Lol your editor isn’t actually watching or listening to the videos, there it three separate times where a bad take wasn't cut out.
says you
I love it that you stopped caring about the bloopers and now just leave them in for everyone to see the creative process. Soon editing might not be needed at all - you can just stream live from your bed, warts and all.
Bravo Turkey❤❤
At this time Turkey can invade Russia without nato help
Asla, Rusya komşumuz, çok beklersiniz.
Hayır. Rusyayı seviyoruz.🇹🇷🇹🇷🇹🇷
Russia gained more ports and control larger cost line. As war in Ukraine has shown, the black sea is a puddle and no navy can feel safe there. No air defense can protect anything. Advanced AD systems as patriot and s400 were destroyed by a direct hits, those, AD can not defend even itself. However, sanctions and restrictions on Russia allowed Turkey to greatly benefit from the conflict. This should have been emphasised instead.
we are natural sasha but we love womens of both sides :)
Watch the brilliant ad at the end 😂
why did they leave that in lol
Turkey is in a legitimately complicated situation, and the one in charge to handle it is... this guy.
Other than having nukes, Russia is no match for Turkey in conventional war as we have seen it in Armenia, Libya, Syria and so on.
Romania was never pro Soviet during communism. Do your research, and why America sent aid to Romania since it wasn’t friendly with Moscow.
8:03 to try every *bleurgh* brilliant has to offer for free...
Funny but its fine lol
10/10 love the bloopers
She said brilliant?? I don't get all the comments, can someone explain it please?

my first time commenting but that mistake made me laugh i was not expecting that XD
(anyways keep up the good work TLDR)
new fave anchor on your channel
Great hair style for this job. Much improved from your starting on TDLR. Perfect voice for this work as well.
I would love if the speaker would speak with a bit more melody and inflection, now it sounds like an AI-generated voice.
used to criticize the same way but she progressed a lot, trust me for an east-european girl she speaks amazingly. also discovered she writes on the show too not just an anchor
She's new so it's normal. She'll develop her style.
With new South corridor to Iranian ports, with currently opening Trans-Afghanistan corridor from Central Asia to Pakistani ports, with intensively growing Arctic seaway and Far-Eastern ports Russia is not critically dependent on Black Sea. If Turkey wants to play with Bosphorus straight it will be more problems for herself in future. Because cargoes may leave Black sea and never return.
look at the clever persia )-:
Interesting thanks and also note that US Black Sea Strategy integrated into 2024 NDAA - US, NATO and Turkey seek greater control of Black Sea ....
I hope that the Circassian diaspora in Turkey reminds Erdogan from time to time of the history of the Russian conquest of the Caucasus and of the Black Sea coast.
Yeah, just like Turkey would care for any of their minorities 😂
Erdogan's ancestors come from Georgia anyway :)
Erdogan himself is a minority@@Felixxxxxxxxx
USSR CCCP BAD BAD BAD
Australia 😒 USSR CCCP
I hadn't heard that Turkey has a gas field in the Black Sea.
Found couple of years ago
But it's not related with UA-RU war, EEZ zones are same since Soviet Era
