That scared non agressive submission by a cat is a telltale sign of abuse. It gives me heart that he found a caring home. I wish more people were kind to the animals.
That is an interesting insight! We did notice that Tyeeger did not protest anything at first. Now he is starting to let us know when he doesn't want something, but he still looks nervous like he expects to get punished for it.

Feliway diffusers turned on for a few hours before bringing home a new cat, really help eliminate any anxiety in the cat.

@@mindrestore I had the same thing happen with my cat when I moved into a new flat, she hid for 24 hours & was so stressed she started peeing blood. The vet told me about Feliway diffusers, & the next time I moved I put two diffusers in the new house before moving in. When I let the cat out of the carrier it was as though she'd always lived there.

I find it interesting how quick we are to accommodate homeless animals, doting on them before you even get to know them. Interesting contrast to how unwilling/reluctant the average person is to give love and shelter to a fellow human. It's as if animals are the better species, easier to love and trust. Yet the sad irony remains that this compassion only extends to some animals and to the moment humans need to feed themselves, then it becomes negotiable to feed on them.
Unfortunately, there is some truth to what you are saying. This world has many complex issues and hurts that are hard to solve. I think most people have limited resources and do what they can. Taking in an unwanted animal is something most of us can do to make the world a little better. It doesn't solve everything, but it is a start.
Teeger may you have a life of being loved, happiness, delicious food, treats and toys to play with and a cozy comfy bed to sleep in ❤❤❤. THANKYOU to his/her new loving owners
All you have to do is let it know you won't hurt it don't place him with any toxic bipolar families or don't place him with a family where one person is Narsisist be careful where you place pets please
Yes, he is slowly learning that we will not hurt him. It seems to take time though!
cat shows 0 signs of abuse. not afriad of people just new enviroment. not cuts scars missing fur? seems more like a shelter pet brough home.
I am glad you are so sensitive to these abused animals! I am so glad you care! Yes, Tyeeger stayed at a shelter for a short time before we got him. Unfortunately he is missing the teeth on one side of his mouth. They think the teeth were kicked in at some point. He was very afraid of us and almost everything else at first. Especially men. He is calming down, but he has clear PTSD and startled by the smallest things still. He was also sedated when we got him. We have weaned him off that medication as well.
