Nice video. Walked into an AD the other day and after a short conversation with the salesperson he told me he was going to make me a customer for life and brought out a brand new Pepsi from the back room. $9700 I bought it and still can believe it. What a great day!
This is most beautiful to my eyes, most useful, with great history, and super comfortable watch that Rolex makes. If I’m being honest, I really wouldn’t need to own anything else with this piece.
@@JustBlueFish that's encouraging! I thought most people went for gmt if they were travellers..... it is a beauty for sure...especially if you feel a strong connection like you do
Video quality upped, good stuff. Prefer this type of editing and video progression to the more longer form ones you used to do, though that also had its place.
Thanks appreciate the feedback. I'll still do longer videos when the subject matter warrants it. Now the funny thing, it takes me much longer to make videos the way I'm doing this than it used to take me back when I started and did 30-60 minute long videos. Go figure, much shorter but much higher quality videos are much more time consuming to produce.
Like you I have the Submariner date (2020) and am on the waiting list for the Pepsi. Hopefully I can make that two watch collection a reality later this year💪🏼
Hi guy , great to see you back again. I've never really got the GMT function unless your a business traveller. Asphectally the extra hand on the dial is a little unnerving for me. I've always thought the pepsi dial was great , like on the seiko pogue ,skx, turtles etc as well as the now new tudor models and the rolex, but the extra hand on the higher end models just don't do it for me. Make a sub with a pepsi bezel and jubilee band but no gmt hand and I'm in. That said the pogue was really unique with the gold face. One of the most iconic looks on a watch, that seiko did. Can you imagine if rolex had done that , be worth a pretty penny today for sure. I do believe it won't be long before seiko do a rework of the pogue, and I'm guessing it will be a smash hit like the 62mas reimaginings, that's as long as they keep their prices sensible.
Perhaps the best production stainless steel tool watch that Rolex makes today. Just received mine a few weeks ago, and it's excellent. Especially on the Jubilee bracelet, my favorite Rolex bracelet til date, including the beautifully comfortable OysterFlex. Cheers Dr Jeff
I'm curious do many RUclips Rolex channels have their own watches or do most rely on borrowing like this? You get more pieces this way. I own all mine from AD and waiting on the next for my next video lol Nice video. Pepsi looks good I'm on the hunt for it but want ao many lol
What a great review!!! For over a decade my grail watch was the Rolex Deepsea Seadweller, and many times I came very close to having the money to purchase it. Well earlier this year I was able to purchase the latest version albeit with the classic black dial that I prefer. I wasn’t able to find the James Cameron version and it didn’t matter anyways. I wanted a super thick watch with a super thick sapphire crystal that was also water resistant and the Deepsea Seadweller delivered and then some. Plus the née model offers 70hrs of power reserve
While I'm more of a Submariner guy, myself, the GMT-Master II is indeed a wonderful watch. I don't know which bracelet I'd go for, through, the Jubilee or the classic Oyster bracelet. That would be a tough one. I guess I'd prefer it on an all-brushed Submariner bracelet with Glidelock clasp. That would be perfect. #inkdial
Agree guy . there’s something very special . I have been Assured by my AD that I will get mine by the end of the year at the latest . They always have been fantastic and as good as their word so not too long to wait now . This may be the perfect time to make an exit as I will be happy with my collection..
I agree. Although I like the oyster on the Rootie, the jubilee rocks on this watch and the Bat. I think you need to have the right fit to appreciate easy link. I use mine fairly often now that I've perfected the fit of my watches (by losing my covid 15). I wouldn't trade it for the bulkier sub clasp on the Root or Exp1. I'm holding out for the Coke comeback but how can you argue with this Pepsi. Perfect. Awesome that you have this relationship with these guys. Cheers
I own a root beer two tone 126711 CHNR and the sub no date 114060. I still think the grail watch, however, is the Panda Daytona. That to me is the end game watch. Oh, what the hell. Who am I kidding. It's the Patek Nautilus. So there. I said it.
Many people don't believe "exit watch". But from my experience, if a watch could satisfy almost all your expectations of watches, it might be the exit watch for you.
@@JustBlueFish Your review of the Steinhart was part of my research about the watch (but I went for the 39mm with Coke bezel). And I agree with your take on homage watches. By the way, great Pulp Fiction homage on the intro to this video!
Your absolutely correct when you say the sub bracelet is better for adjustability. However the jubilee when sized correctly, is extremely useful with easy link and is a piece of art with being the most comfortable bracelet of the two. #INKDIAL
Nice vid as always guy!, intro game is getting much better ;-) I have always loved the BLRO too, and Id agree in a 2 piece collection a Sub and Pepsi would be all id need. Probably throw in a gshock square and thats me done (so why do I have so many others ;-), perhaps its because I don't yet have the Pepsi). #inkdial
This is an excellent video and you touched on a point that is key to me with Rolex sports watches. The Glidelock vs Easy Link Clasps. I have owned Rolex watches with both and Glidelock is far superior. You can get that perfect fit and still have the opportunity to make a small adjustment. As you stated, Easy Link for the most part is useless as it is to big an adjustment. Which brings me to my question. Do you think Rolex will add the Glidelock to the new Explorer 2 which will be seen on April 7 , and if not, why does Rolex persist in not adding it to their watches as most other companies are heading in that direction. Thanks for your videos. Stephen
After 8 months wait I got a batman, I was happy to get for the sake of getting it. The hype made me want it, reality is it's not for me, I did not connect with it and it now sleeps in the safe and probably will never see daylight ever again. My old 14060 on the other hand got a 5th or 6th honey moon.
The end links are really cool on the GMT although I have always preferred the earlier versions of this watch. The end links with the male end (Sub) are my least favourite as it simply extends to L2L but the Sub is still my choice. But enough about me... 😉 #inkdial
Visit the Exquisite Timepieces website here: www.exquisitetimepieces.com/
Can we redeem the inkdial picture for the actual watch?, I did not get it.
Not many watch channels bother to make sure that, when showing 2 watches at once, that they are showing the exact same time. Well Done!
not just that, also the minute hand is accurately positioned
Nice video. Walked into an AD the other day and after a short conversation with the salesperson he told me he was going to make me a customer for life and brought out a brand new Pepsi from the back room. $9700 I bought it and still can believe it. What a great day!

Its great to have you back! I appreciate your imparcial comments on the pieces.
I appreciate that!
Quality video Guy, ..the videography was stunning..love both watches but for me its the sub..pure and simple..👍
was lucky enough to get a call from an AD for pepsi jubilee today. ! love my pepsi and it aint going nowhere !
Love that you’re back! Great video. Awesome analysis.
Hey, thanks!
Killer intro!
Thanks!
Does the GMT bezel click?!
Great video Guy! The Sub snd the Pepsi do indeed make a killer combination.
Thanks Bruce. Hope you're doing well.
I love the gmt on the jubilee, but I prefer the black blue, that’s the perfect 🤩 watch in my humble opinion. Great 👍🏻 video
Glad to see you back Guy.
Thanks
I totally agree the easy link adjustment is pointless. However the glide lock is the boss!
Yeah, had easy link on the Explorer, and really did nothing for me.

I think that if your wrist did ever swell up 5mm you might need medical assistance 🤣
I don't have a use for GMT, so would go for no-date sub or one of the new OPs, but a great vid nonetheless. Good to have you back!
Honestly I don't have a use for the GMT function, but I still love the watch for some reason.

Agree, I wouldn't trade a sub for the GMT either. Beautiful piece though. I hope you get one someday!
You and me both! Thanks Jeff.
I used to prefer the 116710BLNR, but after seeing and trying on the Pepsi with the jubilee bracelet, my mind has changed.
Sick video man - my favorite for the GMT so far
What a great video, very well presented, informative commentary. Two lovely watches, both iconic, who would not love to have either,or both! Take care.
great video! is the sub a 116610ln?
Guy - thanks for the great videos -- take care.
Thanks, you too!
The "do almost anything" watch. One of the most versatile pieces Rolex offers. Great vid.
We both going to get one?
Like you I have the Submariner date (2020) and am on the waiting list for the Pepsi. Hopefully I can make that two watch collection a reality later this year💪🏼
Good to have you back bro
Great watch. Like the Sub the clasp is a scratch magnet. So not a daily.
Nice video mate. 🇺🇸
You can't wear a watch with scratches on the clasp everyday? 🤣 why not? Its only metal.

Perfect 2 watch collection. Enjoy the watches journey

Just got this. Love it but it’s with oyster bracelet.
can't find a GMT for sale at retail or even in stock. Why would anyone pay a 50% premium over reatil?

Great closing thoughts. Agree with you 100 pc
great video......really hoping they bring back the "coke" i really like the black/red combo better, maybe this April 07!!
Submariner black bezel...timeless 👌
Yup simple and classy
I feel the same as you about the Pepsi but I think the sub is a more iconic watch! For me the submariner is the number 1 Rolex watch of all time.
Ya it's hard to argue that.

I will try my best

I do prefer the submariner proportions to be honest (41mm) it has been perfected and even more with the internal AR coating …
