I think some of these MAGAs (formerly the Republican Party) have ideologies I deeply disagree with and see the world as a good verses evil culture war. I guess that makes me evil lol? Others are absolute grifters who could care less about governing or peoples rights. Either way the GOP/MAGA only care about attaining power. Even though I support a woman's choice, I was hoping this repeal wouldn't go through.

If the logic of Genesis is right about the self beginning at first breath, then the first experience of the self must be "hunger for air." Which is a term from the science of physiology.
    *
If this logic from Genesis is wrong and the self begins BEFORE the first breath, then some experience other than hunger for air must occur before the first experience of hunger for air.
    *
Maybe the first beat of the heart. However, there is self control over the breath but not over the heartbeat. I can take a few deep breaths and then hold my breath for a certain amount of time. But I can't take a few deep heartbeats and then hold my heartbeat for a certain amount of time. Self control exists for the breath but not for the heartbeat.
    *
The physiology is most likely that "astrocytes" (a kind of "glial cell" in the brain) flood the system during parturition. Astrocytes are required for consciousness, because the "astrocyte syncytium" is a basic part of the brain. These astrocytes enable memory. And memory involves the self. But the instrumentation for all of this is difficult, if not impossible.
    *
So at the initial experience of hunger for air, the self has simply the shortest forms of memory. No long term forms of memory yet exist for it.
(For more on memory and the self, please see the youtube video "A memory of kindness.")
    *
The logic from Genesis appears in the words:
    "... breath of life ..."
Logically there must be a first breath.
And there must be a last breath.

They're more like Pontius Pilate. They're beliefs tell them to do one thing which is ban abortions, even for those who don't share their beliefs, but instead they have caved into public pressure. Ultimately I agree with the decision, but they didn't come to it for the right reasons but instead to appease the crowd and try and hold onto power.

They must have read their old testament for the first time and realised that the bible's reporting of the laws of Moses specifically says that a foetus is not alive. It's considered a man's asset and if it's lost due to an act of violence the perpetrator has to pay a fine.

They didn't want to repeal this law, not because it's wrong but because of their religious beliefs. Those beliefs should be left outside of the House and Senate just as the Constitution states.

As a Boy, the idea of human life starting at conception is ludicrous. A fetus while it will grow up to be a thinking being at that stage, a fetus is no different than someone who is suffering from Total Brain death. Neither have yet for thw fetus/ or for the B.D. victims are no longer or yet to even be able to "live" as human beings. should Laws like this be passed where in the future where people suffering From B.D who's mind is gone but who's body is kept alive by a machine does that mean the hospital or family cannot let them pass away peacefully for victims or love ones sake in fear of being charged with murder?

He made it clear that “For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight” (Romans 3:20).
