      It’s a feature which has become a canary in the coal mine; indicator of how optimised a manufacture is, Nissan isn’t by using legacy ICE peripherals. You may not use wireless charging in your phone, but many do and a phone without it is a deal breaker.

      False, in fact what Nissan did with the Ariya was pushing all internal peripherals from the dashboard to the hood to free up more space inside the cabin, it's what they claim they did and it shows. Do your research.

    Sloooow AC charging is so sad given it’s just average DC charging. So whether you frequent road trip or around town stay busy about; this is not ideal. They should have copied Lucid on front floor board bumping batteries instead of the IONIQ 5 front floor board shuffle board court. They both still could have done the floating console as they are not mutually exclusive. Let’s hope their first attempt to liquid cool batteries includes battery preconditioning. 🤔

    • @justinbyers7472
      @justinbyers7472 Год назад +1

      Pre-conditioning is available, you can pre-heat the battery and there is an enhanced cooling mode you can access which is nice. Personally the charging at home isn't very important for me (have one on order) just due to the fact that I have 2 successive days off and do almost no driving while i'm off. Even then I can charge at work if needed for free so I'm in a bit of a nicer position than some.

      @@marketbuy With the firmware updates I hope they sort out the 115KW charge limit that Eurospec cars have been having, and they lower how much battery is in the buffer, currently the 0% buffer is almost a full 6KW which while nice for new to EV ownership people it does make the car not accurately predict remaining range a little too early for my taste. Also a firmware update to make E-Step be able to toggle between the creep and full stop would be very nice :)

      @@justinbyers7472 Per Nissan, the vehicle will not stop fully using ePedal. It is because Nissan wants the driver to be engaged and alert by continuously have a foot on the brake pedal. It is what it is….

      @justinbyers7472 Год назад

      @@marketbuy Myself and others find the omission to be a bit silly with no choice, i think it is one of the better implementations on the leaf for one pedal driving, I get where they are coming from but I never fully trusted my 1 pedal system in my tesla, I was always ready to give some more braking if needed. I know this is supposed to be a breakthrough vehicle for getting people in gas cars to switch to electric, with this I think the primary category of transitional customers is the Murano buyers who are older and don't quite adapt as quickly to new tech being introduced then the younger buyers who already have had EVs or are easily adaptable since they have grown up with such rapid advancements in tech. I think just having the option would make more potential buyers a bit more at ease ESPECIALLY if they are coming from an EV where they got used to 1 pedal modes.
