Nice video! Love the sulky setup, never seen that before on a Field and Brush mower, great idea! We love our DR, they are great machines.
Thanks for commenting! Oddly, I really like brush mowing but I don’t get a lot of field jobs to use the sulky.
@@BillyGoatLawnService they sure make great lawn mowing machine and year round uses
Great video!

That was the best video sofare.. not just because I was in it. Lol.. editing and store. Video clip all good. .
Thanks! Getting a little better as I record more videos.
Drop that thing into 1st for best results .
Thanks for commenting! I agree, the cut quality is much better in low gear.
the one i had must have been a AT1 because it had the little lever on the side and no brakes but it had the v-twin kawasaki like that one has. i didnt like that it had no brakes so i sold it for more than i paid for it. paid 700 had to go from VA to WV, sold it to a guy that came to me for 1k
I understand why you sold your AT1. It is a little scary to operate on hills and other terrain without any kind of brakes. Glad you were able to get more than what you paid for it.
Where can u find these with the sockie are able to stand on it while cutting... I had DR but had pull with 4 wheeler didn't like it had hard time turning...if u can help appreciate it...BJ
You should do a walk around. If the wiring on the right side from under beneath the switch panel to the starter. I have one that’s been ripped out haha
Goto my “About” tab and send me your email address. I will send you a video link of the wiring.
I have a 2006 with the 15 HP Kawasaki. I live on 10 acres in Vermont and had to transform it from overgrown with trees and large bushes over the years. They stopped using the Kawasaki engines for several years. They brought them back recently, the new machines seem really nice.Expensive for sure, but you should take a peak ruclips.net/video/4DGamFlZGd4/видео.html My is still running great, I've modified the mower deck so theres no side discharge. That 1/2" steel side discharge arm kept getting hung up on roots and things backing up. Getting bent and digging into the ground.I would bend it back into shape. It finally broke off 2 seasons ago. It was the best thing that ever happened to it. I cut off the discharge shoot, bent and welded some steel around the outer cage and used some 1/2" gas pipe fittings to fashion a skid plate. The newer models don't have discharge shoots either. It works better now than it ever did, I can get in tighter to trees etc. on the discharge side because there is no shoot sticking out. Have a good one, Spring is coming
Thanks for the tip on closing the side discharge. Have the same issues of snagging on roots and such when backing up. Bent that 1/2” rod a few times and broke it off on this property ruclips.net/video/EYXXd1y1o5M/видео.html
The new DR mowers are awesome, I demoed the new XD version at the 2021 GIE.
personally I'd rather walk then ride on a sulky with my dr because one I do a lot of brushhoging of smaller brush and two I can already see turning is a pain on sulky with a dr brush mower. I can do a 180 no problem ware your only doing 90° turns maybe but struggling there. and doing side edges on a ditch you do a lot of back and forth and a sulky is no place for that type work. sulkys are for walkbehind mowers not brushhogs my friend.
Thanks for commenting! I agree… pulling a sulky isn’t ideal behind this brush mower, especially when turning without power steering of some sort.
Nice DR🙂🙂

yeah im getting one this year with brush hog, chipper, snowblower, lawn mower deck and blade for plowing sidewalks and gradingand some led lights
Is this mower the zero turn model? If not, how well does it turn while using the sulky attachment? I just bought one for mine and am curious.
Unfortunately this model (AT2) is not a zero turn. Not fun to maneuver with sulky. I believe the AT4 models have left and right brakes to help in turning.
Still blows my mind you got all that equipment so cheap
I was amazed as well for being in great condition. Still haven’t even used the snow thrower yet. Not even the 600 watt generator. That thing could power my whole house.
Hi sr. Where do I buy the wheeled attachment? I need one, thank you.
They are called sulky, you can get a one wheel or two wheel version. You can buy them used on Facebook or new online by search engine.
@@BillyGoatLawnService Thanks so much Billy goat 😎 🚜👍
Do you have the generator?
Yes I do. Surprisingly never had to use it.
Can you create a video?@@BillyGoatLawnService
@@kdsinput I sure will. I have been wanting to do a video on each attachment.
How can I get a Sokeu for my dr brush mower
DR doesn’t recommend installing a sulky but you can buy used sulkies on Facebook market place or order a new one online.
Do you have a link or something or a source for the Sockie little stand on attachment ???
You can buy a used sulky on Facebook market place.
How difficulty is your mower to steer while riding on the sulky attachment?
These mowers are not designed to ride behind. For me, I’m only 150 pounds, 5’ 10” tall so it not to difficult to steer on flat terrain. I will be making another video with more details on the sulky.
@@BillyGoatLawnService thank you!
