Follow the routine and your done for the snowy year and looking forward to spring. The tractor survived the wintry blasts of snow and it time to bed down the snowblower. Happy Easter.
I hear you Gord. It was a beautiful day in Bobcaygeon cottage country. I just converted my snow plowing cub cadet back into a lawnmower today. If all goes according to plan, this is the last winter for it, as I hope to get a Kubota later this year. I walked through a dealer lot on Good Friday after I phoned the dealer to make sure it was OK. I got to sit on a BX23S, B2601, LX2610 and LX3310. I was shocked at how much bigger the LX machines were than the others. Way bigger than I thought. All of them were really nice.
Morning Andrew. That is great and must be very exciting for you. Yes I was quite surprised too. Good luck in your choice. Let me know how it goes later in the year. Cheers!
Thanks for all the videos Gord! I made the huge mistake yesterday of chatting with the neighbor with the door open and then pulling forward forgetting it was opened. New door ordered!
Oh geez. So sorry to hear Ryan. But a good reminder for me - I have been getting lazy lately and leaving the door open myself. Hope it doesn't hurt the pocket book too much. All the best!
I would check that sticky silver pin to see if a little gentle grinding would make your life easier. Basically making sure the holes are lined up properly and the frame is not twisted.
Good morning and thanks for the great advice. My neighbour Guy has been telling me the same thing over the last two seasons. He has offered to do that for me. Maybe I will take him up on it soon. Thanks again!
Just like you my driveway is long. I just finished my second year with a pull type snowblower. I have a snow pusher on the front. This seems to be a good fit for my situation. But… the best move I made was getting a cab!!! Thanks to recommendation from this site and other buddies I got a cab.
Great job Gord, slick as a whistle. Makes the process so much easier when you have the same place to be able to remove and store the blower each spring . You all stay safe up there and have a good time getting the spring clean up done. Fred.
Good Morning GP, 🌞 Oui mon ami, the defrost cycle as started 👍👌😇 🚧🚧 GP at 4:35, I realy like these protective front covers for your steering cylinder 🤔👍🚧🚧 Silicone spray over your hydraulic hoses is a nice sun protective and also make it more flexible during winter 👍😇👌 Have a very nice Easter Sunday Sir Cheers 🍻
The " green" machines are quite easy to put on and take off also, but I find that I have to watch a video first to refresh my memory before I start. Thank God for people like you who do these videos. I'm sure I would either hurt myself or break something if I didn't see the video on doing it first.
Very interesting to see. Thanks for sharing. I would have thought it to be a much longer and more involved process to remove your blower and sub-frame. Now I wish they weren’t so darn expensive…
I have the same tractor and blower Gord. I don't take my sub frame off for small loader jobs in the winter, it works, just not much clearance under the tractor.
Happy Easter Gord. I just took my blower off today. A few years later I still struggle taken it off and back on. A little bit of love each time. Lol. Always a good time of year when the loader is back on though!Cheers.
Morning Bill! It sure is - you get this happy feeling as you know it is time for the nicer weather. Can't wait. Guy has a big project he wants to do this year. Happy Easter!
Morning GP. Yup that’s on my to do list this week.. Going to be in the 70’s . On my B2650 it’s a little different. I think it was like your old tractor.. Can’t remember.. Would have to go back and watch it.. I agree with the front mount blower being a little easier but have seen the rear mount ones in action and they have a little more power coming off the rear PTO.. Mid mount is less.. But for the convenience I like my front mount.. But like you said the loader does come in handy at times.. But I have a advantage.. Two tractors.. hahahah Love my 1025r but has no cab.. so I only use it when it is needed in the winter.. I know shut up Gus.. Stop rubbing it in.. hahaha Happy Easter to you and Carol and the girls.. As always stay safe and always be kind. Cheers
LOL! I need to tell carol - maybe she will let me get a second one - ok, maybe not. :))) You too All the best to you, Sally and your family this Easter!
Hello GP. Thank you for this video. Happy Easter! There was not much snow this year here in Southern Maine that having the snow blower on the tractor seemed like a waste of time. But alas, if we did not have the blower on, it would have snowed really hard. We invested in a sweeper for our BX and what a nice attachment. We have had so much dirt on our paved driveway the sweeper seems like a good investment. Plus we can use the sweeper when it snow only an inch of two, which we have had a lot of. Have a beautiful day.
Morning GP, disconnecting the front mount blower looked reasonably quick. I don't have a snowblower for my tractor. I do plan to get one and I totally agree that the front mount would be best but for me I will go for a rear mount since I need the grapple and bucket on during the winter. I'll just have to put up with the pain in the neck. Happy Easter Sir!
A front blower, IMHO, is worth the extra cost. Constantly turning around while blowing, no freaking way. Like you said, I never used the loader in winter anyways. Its a 10 min job, max, to swap, if needed anyways.
Nice job as usual! As I was watching I couldn't help but think that someone in your family really must love the lineup of orange equipment in front of the cabin all summer! Might be time for an equipment shed! LOL
Great job, just a side note, I do believe you only need acc position for relieving pressure on the third function (or any hydraulics that have a solenoid)
My 525 loader has removable cable ties to hold the hydraulic lines to the lift cylinders right from Kubota. Maybe this is an option rather than cutting all those cable ties every year.
How's she goin'? Taking the gear off is often times quicker and easier than installing it eh!! Good idea to put the rust treatment on the gear for summer to GP. Thanks for the reminder!! Take care!!
The secret is you need a second tractor. Leave one set up for winter. I know that's an expensive venture. But with your ability to chisel and profiteer, it's not that much of an ordeal. Cheers.
Do you have to put the key into "Acccesory" to bleed the valves because of the third function? I always relieve the pressure after use after I've shut it down. Great video Gord, have a great week!
Morning Chris. Does that actually work? I will check the manual again when I am back up but I was told that the tractor needs to be in ACC in order for the pressure to release for all of them. I may have misunderstood though. I think for sure the 3rd function should be as it is not actuated until you turn it on. Thanks pal - Happy Easter!
Hey I think you are correct. The manual says to relieve the pressure with the engine shut off. I guess they told me to turn on the key to "accessory" in order to do the same with my 3rd function valve. Good catch - thanks my friend!
GP, would it help to drive the front tires up on blocks that would put the blower at the same level when you engage or disconnect? Hope you and family had a Blessed and Happy Easter!
Morning John. I think so but it only takes me a few seconds to grab the front and lift it a bit to get it to hook on or come off. Thanks for the good advice - and hope you had a nice Easter!
Have you seen any abnormal wear on the K Connect coupling like what’s burning up the forums? Some are having to replace the $700 coupler after 35 hours.
Follow the routine and your done for the snowy year and looking forward to spring. The tractor survived the wintry blasts of snow and it time to bed down the snowblower. Happy Easter.
Happy Easter Bay!

Ok Spring here…..GP took his blower off …..it official 😂👍
LOL! It's time for some mud Bob!
Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Chad!
Both my pins move easily, thanks for the video
Great video!! Thanks for sharing!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Cheers David!
GP you said this is for entertainment only. All I see is work. Be safe my man.
LOL! Cheers Gary!

Front loader needs an under cover storage stall. Happy Easter!
You make it look easy! Happy Easter, Cheers!
Happy Easter Ernest!

Hey that's great Roger - the cab is such a nice option for sure - winter or summer. Have a Happy Easter!
Hey Gord! I agree 100%, if I were to get a snowblower it would be front mounted! Happy Easter!
Happy Easter Bob!

Morning Fred! Happy Easter!
I never would have gone with a rear mounted blower if I had a driveway as long as your 😅.
Great video and lots of information. Looks like you need a drive shed for all your equipment and toys.

Morning Rick. LOL. Me too. Every time I have to remove or connect the loader, I still watch a video first. Have a nice Easter!
Sounds like it’s time to expand the building footprint there for the maintenance equipment. Happy Easter Gord!!

Morning JH! That's great - I have never used a sweeper before but I can how they can be very helpful in the right conditions. Have a nice Easter!
Hello Gord,
Great video removing equipment from tractor.
Very enjoyable
Be well

I think that makes good sense - with all the work you do in the winter months. Happy Easter JO!
👍👍👍

Nice job as usual! As I was watching I couldn't help but think that someone in your family really must love the lineup of orange equipment in front of the cabin all summer! Might be time for an equipment shed! LOL
LOL. I actually speak to that in my next video. Too funny. Cheers Andy!
Great job, just a side note, I do believe you only need acc position for relieving pressure on the third function (or any hydraulics that have a solenoid)
Happy Easter. Yes correct - thanks - helpful clarification. All the best!
Wow, that's a pita process. That's about as bad as my 60"inch mid pto mowing deck. It's a beast in use, but hooking up sucks.
My 525 loader has removable cable ties to hold the hydraulic lines to the lift cylinders right from Kubota. Maybe this is an option rather than cutting all those cable ties every year.
Front end snow blower, best attachment made. Do you tarp the blower to protect the hoses from the sun?
I love when you take the snowblower off. That means we're close to the chainsaw action videos and HUSKY!! 😂
LOL! Happy Easter Rick!
How's she goin'? Taking the gear off is often times quicker and easier than installing it eh!! Good idea to put the rust treatment on the gear for summer to GP. Thanks for the reminder!! Take care!!
Wait till you get that in your shed.
Happy Easter GP,, and yep cable ties are cheap,, hoses not so much ;) Yeah bud you really need about a 3 car garage to work in !
Yup, indeed. Cheers Skeets!
The secret is you need a second tractor. Leave one set up for winter. I know that's an expensive venture. But with your ability to chisel and profiteer, it's not that much of an ordeal. Cheers.
Gord
What are you doing to protect hydraulic hose connections? Plugs and wrap entire assemble in plastic bag?
Do you have to put the key into "Acccesory" to bleed the valves because of the third function? I always relieve the pressure after use after I've shut it down.

Not a bad job now to remove or put on but as a person gets older that can become a unbearable task. 👴
