The way those cylinders got out of sync is totally normal. They’re hooked together in a circuit and kind of find a natural balance. If they were plumbed individually you would bend your loader as the pressure in each side would be out of balance. Next time you have your loader off, grab one side of your loader and you’ll see you you can push and pull on one side and the other will go in and out. Kind of like a teeter totter on a playground. Hope this helps

I keep in the small tool box, a good sized round punch (flat tip) to wack the pin in the connector to release pressure...works well

Waiting to see what you got GP.
Last fall while taking off my loader I rushed the removal of the loader. I spent the past two summers removing/re-installing the loader without problem and became overconfident. Well this last time was a disaster as I somehow dug the bucket into the ground while the loader was off the loader mount. Long story short, I called my local Kubota dealer who sent out the mobile technician a day later to literally dig me out of my jam. My main concern is not to break the darn thing, having a really good dealer who is patient is such a great thing to rely on. Lesson learned, although I thought I mastered removing the loader, you can't rush this process.

This video justifies why I have NEVER taken my loader arms off of my tractors! lol
After you torque all your bolts take a paint stick and mark them all. From that point on just a quick glance will tell you if any of them have loosened up. Big time saver

I did this last weekend.. I was surprised how easy it was this time.. I almost always have to bleed a line.. It’s usually always the curl..
Oh well.. hmmm I use regular grease on my pins .. I have to be honest I have never checked the torque on the loader mounts..

Just put my loader on yesterday. I have no level spot yet to store it, I've been busy with landscaping the whole yard the last couple of years but not a storage spot for the loader. I can verify that without a level spot to store the loader it is a real fight, took me about 45 minutes to get it mounted. That will be one of the landscaping chores I tackle this year finally.

Hi Gord, you need to get yourself one of the cheap kids foam snow sleds from Cabela's to work under the tractor. Much softer on the body and the bottom of the snow sled is slick HDEP plastic to slide across the rocks. Better than the tarp you are using. (Sportsstuff® Grizzly Foam Sled Maple Leaf 49”)

I bought it in the dead of winter with the LX2963 for my 1/2 mile road in eastern Washington. 92" of snow here this last winter! I watch your videos, then just go use my tractor. Thank you!

the arms being different is just from pressure equalizing between lift rams. If you push the one that is farther out, it will move in and the other will move out. Just did this on mine last week.
Hi there just enjoying your video today on the cylinders the connections when I have an issue even after releasing the pressure a trick I do on the part attached to the tractor with a little pen in the middle I take a rag and the handle of a screwdriver put the rag over the pin and push The screwdriver to release the pressure that way I’m not taking apart connections and you’ll find the female part of the hose connector will snap on no problem at least that’s the way it works for me john

I've had my frame sides get out of whack and uneven with the BX I used to own. Pretty much did what you did to even them out before connecting the loader to the tractor. I'm surprised they didn't put a swift tach loader on the LX2610. They updated the B2601 to a swift tach 435 and it makes it a little nicer to connect, disconnect to/from the tractor. You can actually do most of this right from the driver's seat. What's really nice is the the hose connections are in one bracket and a single lever connects/disconnects them (as well as a place to mount the bracket on the loader arm). Still extremely important to have everything level when connecting or you'll still have plenty of issues (I can attest to that personally as can the driver who delivered it). Thanks for sharing - I really enjoyed watching it. Not looking forward to torqueing those loader bolts...
Thanks for the tutorial on patients while installing the frontend loader on unlevel ground. It sure helps those who have a problem or run into that situation down the road. Always good to learn the what if's incase something does happen. Can't help you with the situation you first mentioned because of the strict building codes up there. You could have pushed on the one that is out further and the other one will move out to line them up

I had the same issue with my "red" line as well, GP. I luckily didn't have to relieve the pressure but it was a 10 minute battle. Putting on the blue line and then removing it seemed to make the difference. Yay for summer projects coming up.
Seems like a lot of work, but the tractor will last and operate a lot longer than if you didn't do the upkeep. Hat tip to your attention to detail. Good vid.

It’s lot easier to put loader on than a backhoe on, I have lots of trouble putting that backhoe on once I take it off.
I haven’t taken off my loader yet! 😮 I will be doing it this week, wasn’t shown how to do it by dealer. Something new!

Hey Gord, whenever I take off my FEL off I pull my loader arms in all the way, so the rams aren't exposed to shop debris and welding splatter. When I do this, they move at different rates, so don't be concerned about them being different lengths, you can extend or retract them fully to even them out. The loader issue happens to my neighbors bx a couple times a year. I'm the one fixing it because he has me changing all his attachments. I usually retract the cylinders the whole way then start from there.

Great video Gord! I removed my blower yesterday and I wish I would have watched your video first …forgot to torque the loader bolts. I totally can relate on having the loader and the tractor level when reconnecting. I’ve battled the connection many times when they aren’t level.
I have never removed the FEL on any tractor that I have owned but I can understand that similar to the 3pth you need to be on flat level ground to get things to align otherwise some challenges will present themselves. I always clean out the area around the grease zerks before and after greasing to mitigate the amount of dirt that gets attracted there. I look forward to seeing the new piece of equipment. I know that the Woodland Mills stump grinder is about 500 pounds but I can't remember you having issues with stumps. Have a great day GP!

Checking torque last fall on my B2601 I found a bolt hitting the oil pan. Clear that it happened during dealer install .. I missed several times being under there happen to find it that time. I moved the longer bolt to the back and moved the short one to where it belonged :) When you get a garage it still sucks getting under there checking torque btw.. :(
Thanks for keeping it authentic! I wonder if the new kubotas are any better. I've had troubles once in a while with my green tractor but don't know if it's ever taken that long. Anyway, another great video!
Well maybe the new SWIFT Tack Loaders might be better. In all fairness, there have been some times when it went on quick and easy and this loader I have has a better design than the one I had on the B2601 ( they added a triangular piece that helps align the arms into the mounts better ). Great tip about cleaning the zerks- I keep all mine clean, as well as all my trailer, and vehicle rims, front and back, clean for the same reasons- if I see one more dusty or darker than the others, something is up (dragging brake, emerg. cable or spring not releasing, …). Not to mention, excess grease is a dirt and bug magnet. Yuck
GP, it'll be a breeze when you get your garage built with that heated concrete floor!!

Morning Jean. I did at first but I also wear hearing protection , even when I had an open station tractor. This cab tractor has a horn which is helpful for getting attention, but also, my neighbours have always used hand signs to communicate generally, while we are in the forest because often we are working with chainsaws, splitters etc but in short, the horn is very helpful. You mentioned it in the last video and again today." Cracking" open hydraulic fittings to relieve pressure. Is that in the manual? The biggest problem with any hydraulic system is dirt/water or any possible contamination, so I would think that each time a fitting is cracked open. There would be a risk of this?They make a tool for relieving pressure, but I have always used a ball peen hammer tap myself.
LOL! Yup, those towels will do it. Great question - the manual says to cycle the valve body to relieve pressure however does not address what to do when a hose is under too much pressure. Some folks suggest that using a tap and hammer can damage the point in the coupler, and yup, I agree that opening that connector up can open the potential of getting debris inside. The tool I used to find was sold by Ken at Bolt- On Hooks, but he no longer sells it and the US company that made them appears to no longer make it. There is an Australian company I found but crazy expensive ( IMO) to purchase for what you get. Sooooo...I guess to each his own on this one. :)) Thanks - good Q and make sure when you put the towels back in the bathroom, you turn the dirty side in...and blame it on the kids .LOL! Cheers!

@@waynetharp LOL! Well, I did actually, they told me to open them and never use a punch/hammer on the inside pin. When I loosen the coupler I don't need to actually take it off totally. As soon as you start to unscrew it, the fluid starts to leak out( under pressure), and then I just tighten it again. But, I do enjoy hearing different ideas and thoughts on things.:) And I have to wear safety googles...it can squirt out in any direction sometimes. Cheers my friend!
Nice job as always GP! I would have the same problem if I tried taking my loader off, soft uneven ground. Also, I really haven't found a reason to take it off yet. 😁👨🚒

The only damage my tractor has seen has been caused by trying to remount the loader. I too have no flat or hard area for the loader. Now I just remove the bucket and leave the arms attached. For some reason I have much less trouble with the backhoe but that can be a challenge too for the same reasons.

New LX2610 owner here - due much to your videos (thanks) - down in SW New Hampshire. How do you decide when to put the blower on and then when to pull it off? What I mean is, what threshold of remaining expected cold/snow weather do you use to make that decision?
Hey welcome and thanks very much for joining the community. I will try not to be too wordy but each November/ December, I wait as we start getting each little snowfall. You probably saw the preparation video I did about 3 weeks ago so I have greased, lubricated and setup the subframe and blower in my shed so I can easily attach it when the time comes. My tire chains are also on the ground waiting in the shed. I have found over the years it is important to get a base layer of hard snow on the driveway before blowing, ( unless we get a sudden big snowstorm and a foot of snow) if possible so I simply drive over each new fallen snow to pack it down, and eventually, once I get to about 4-5 inches that stays (does not melt) I check the forward weather to make sure a big warm front is not coming in. Then when we finally get the next bigger snowfall, 5-6 inches or more, I attach the blower. I almost never take it off once I mount it. In the spring, as the thaw commences , I keep a sharp eye on the weather and once we see more melting snow, than big snowfalls, and I start to see some areas of the driveway gravel appearing, I eventually decide to remove it. I have an off road truck so for me , even if it does get more snow, usually or very seldom is it a big snowfall, and I am good. I hope that helps a little and congrats on the new tractor!

9:42 What was the liquid spilling out of the loader attachment bracket? My guess is water, but then I'm concerned about water pooling in the bracket causinfg rust over winter. I guess it's OK as long as it's in a painted area.

Hi Gord - question: can the doors on the cab be removed (easily)?
You’ve said that an open cab is easier to start with for beginners. I’m thinking that makes sense but I’d rather buy the enclosed cab to start but maybe take the doors off to start.

Gord I noticed you have an engine pre heater. Do you ever use it? My dealership talked me out of it when I bought mine.
Good day Michael! Yes it is a block heater and up here it is a must-have. Perhaps you live in an area where it does not get too cold. But for sure, I use it every day I run the tractor through the winter months. Every day. I don't need it during the Spring Summer but there are days in the winter when it will not start without warming it first. Cheers!
