The best moments are when mover just says “no”
Correct!!!
and hits space at the same time
That's for sure
It's right up there with, "Why."

I'm quite fond of the "Mover ruins movies" name personally
Agreed.
ok
i second that motion. All in favor to keeping it "Mover Ruins Movies" say Aye?

I love when Mover says "It's just a movie." like he's trying to reassure himself.

It's me I'm sensitive about my jets lol
If anything Bruce is the one thinking at night "it's just a video Mover can't find me"
IKR my dad can't even acknowledge that Lol
he's so stressed from this clip

The pilot acquired the target based entirely on "there's a terrorist truck in your sector". "I see them, Fox 2!"
Bruce was smart he used the slower performance to draw the 35 into a circle fight

Mover: Physics don't apply!
Me, an 18 wheeler over the road truck driver: Yeah, I noticed.....
Watch a movie with an expert at your peril but I enjoy having the mistakes pointed out, it's funny stuff.
I ride a motorcycle and top gear is what you need to do highway speed. what gear was he in that truck to move to higher gear on the bridge scene ? 😂
First time I watched I didn't think the truck was that far gone. But yeah. I rewatched that part and he was well past. About the longest distance I have seen a heavily loaded truck make it in a turn in too high a gear it was a Mack with a 38foot feed tanker (80k GVWR). He made a 90 degree turn onto an on ramp in 7th gear - going too fast, of course. He ended up on 9 wheels for 78 feet before he panicked and hit brakes. That made the shoulder of the trailer instantly dig forward and down. Instant roll over. Very little damage to the trailer though.
For the record, the driver had just been released from training - against the recommendations of his trainer. (It sucks to be a trainer and have your advice ignored. That happened to me with MY first student.)
I'm going to make my own accurate movie about Naval Aviation. It will show the Ready 5 fighter on the deck of the carrier with the pilot sitting in the hot sun for hours.
Font forget the piddle packs 😆
@@toddie4usa1 Done. I'll list you as a technical advisor.
I see great things starting here. When release?

The Yak-38 also has an automatic ejection sequence for exactly the same reason as the F-35B. As it uses 3 engines to hover, if any one fails the aircraft will become uncontrollable immediately, so if it detects engine problems it automatically throws the pilot.
BF3 and BF4 macros had an auto eject feature. If your vehicle health drops below a certain amount, it will throw you out. Often at your detriment because you're out of the map or probably could recover. So annoying.
8:22 - John McClane has the greatest situational awareness EVER. While fleeing from an attacking fighter aircraft, crashing through parked cars, with a highway overpass collapsing around him and driving around a big spiral onramp or something, he still knows EXACTLY where the "bad guy" van is in relationship to him.
OMG...a Tank reference! And it’s the “pu$$y communist” one, at that! This video wins for that alone, sir. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I loved that movie as a kid.
Half the movie that racist sheriff is shouting at people, his new favorite epithet.
"Loss of tail rotor effectiveness" lol :D
My guess is that they are trying to do their take on the Harrier scene in True Lies.
Physics aside, both of these are the badassest of scenes ever
The movie should named True lies 2, it would make more money as the Die hard franchise.
Mover Mangles Movies
New t-shirt from Mover: “But…..NO”
3:27 “gawd… the worst one”
I think I speak for everyone here when I say we want a quick-cut compilation of Mover just sh!tt!ng on the Fat Amy for like 10 minutes.
Do it!
The degree to which Mover tries to rationally breakdown the irrational is so much fun.
So, you’re on the way to the range and a random guy on the radio calls you up and tells you to destroy a civvy truck on a busy road in a city and your just like ‘sure, no problem’. That is some pretty relaxed ROE he’s working to 😂
Maybe this whole scene was constructed initially with a helicopter, and they changed it during filming/production because the F35 was hot shit and a helicopter (used so much in other Die Hard movies) was not. Way cooler to have an F35 do all sorts of stunts with the VTOL thing. The missile sort of looks like a TOW by the way?
So..... bruce would jump on top of helicopter? I see a small issue here.
@@tapio83 I had holding onto the landing skids in mind, but that would be an interesting way to end the films lol
I think you're right, someone said, "You know what would be really cool?"
This movie was put together by eight year old boys.
I do so enjoy these. You should check out 'The Rock'. There's a scene with "Air Force" F18's that I'd love to see your take on.
speaking of “Tank”, my favorite line, “I do believe I have you covered”.

I vote keep it "Mover Ruins Movies."
"Movies with Mover" just lacks the zing of your humor.
Actually it should be “Movies Ruins Movies”
It should be physics ruins movies
I'm just speculating here, but there is a chance that some of the videos that have been fought and/or blocked is because the copyright holders have no sense of humour and assume someone is talking crap about their movies, as implied in the "ruins" title. While he does that a little bit, he's mostly good-natured about it. But it's not like people yelling "foul" are actually watching the videos anyway.
@@tchmilfan actually it should be "Movies Ruins Mover" because of all the brain cells he probably lost at this point, watching these movies
I agree completely, Mover Ruins Movies is perfect.

These videos seem more like "Punishing Mover With Movies". 😆
I love that Mover calls the RN’s 65,000 ton aircraft carriers ‘tiny’. 🤣
Well they kinda are
I’ve seen them and there pretty big
Compared to a monstrous 100,000 ton Nimitz or Ford Class Super Carrier; it is tiny.
Well, there's big as in 'this is a naval craft intended to carry several thousand for an extended period of time', and then there's big as in 'this ship has two different runways for deployment and recovery of multiple jet aircraft at once'. Relative to the latter, the former is kind of small.
Hey, Mover, the Yak-38 did auto ejections.
Yeah it was tied to its hover mode, if the plane rolled past a certain angle iirc
"That truck no longer exists"

YaK-38 (the Soviet VTOL jet) did actually *also* have an automatic ejection system if some flight parameters during landing would go outside the normal. Given how often those things crashed, that must've saved dozens of lives.
Wonder if by extension the Yak-141 also would have and if Lockheed imported that lesson when they received the flight data to use on the F-35.
@@FirstDagger i'm sure it did, because it had lift engines, like the 38, and it might not have had to carry over for them to come up with this idea (although it probably was carried over). If my memory doesn't deceive me, i think i read somewhere years ago that the f35 had some issues with the driveshaft for the fan or something, so it might be that's the reason they incorporated such a system, despite the f35b using a single engine for all of its vtol lift. Anyway, doesn't seem like a bad thing to have..
ruclips.net/video/-35G8Hr5Zes/видео.html time 18:00 - real automatic ejection. Engine fail.
Don't change the name, its great the way it is!
Great vid Mover, bloody good fun. yes the box that looked like a filing cabinet falling into the lift engine would drop the plane immediately but no he he kept it off the ground for ages. Keep the MRM's coming, I love watching them, Cheers.

@@0300SSgtOrange NO! FoTI was well written, quite possibly one of if not the MOST realistically written and portrayed movies concerning Naval Aviation and Aviation in Vietnam period.
Mover himself has already said he is not rated for the A-6 in any capacity and would have to spend way to much time to invest into researching the A-6 to make any effort to put FoTI on this channel
No, and Mover has already repeatedly denied making any effort to even take on FoTI and has said that is one of the more properly presented and realistically written portrayals of Vietnam Era Naval Aviation. that on top of, he does not know anyone who is rated on the A-6
I remember watching this movie with an old buddy of mine. As the roadway started collapsing he started singing the Team America theme song. Good times...
I learn so much about aviation on here.
There’s a short sequence with an f18 strike in The Rock, might be worth a look
you mean the strike with the USAF F/A-18's and the fictitious "Thermite Plasma" Bombs
On the DVD commentary the director and Bruce Willis mention that the truck scene at 8:40 was 100% real. They were both surprised that that it went over so far and landed back on its wheels. They then added the shots of Bruce hanging on to the steering wheel. They filmed the scene again but that time the truck flipped over. I should add its been years since I watched the commentary so my memory is a little fuzzy.
The Yak-38 (the original Soviet VTOL aircraft which had a liftjet system remarkably similar to the front lift fan in the F35) also had an auto-eject that triggered if it had an engine failure.
Yesterday i watched Avengers /2012/ and the F 35 sequence there has pretty much the same issues. Great video.
Been waiting for a while for this one!
I love these, keep them coming ,,,
Love these....Mover your facial expressions and comments make these hilarious, but also full of facts that non-aviators would not know about anyway.
Awesome as always!!!
Awesome commentary!
The first Die Hard was about a normal man who went through hell and struggled just so he could have Christmas with his family.
The series since then is about a cartoon character.
Mover, avengers 1 has two f-35 scenes. One during helicarrier attack and another during the final battle. Could you please react to them.
theres not much to say to those, one is just the f-35s taking off then the second is one launching a nuke, though he would probably get a kick out of seeing nick fury shoot down one with a missile launcher, lol
@@Acejak1234 the takeoff scene was when the f-35 hovers near the helicarrier and then shoots hulk. Just like this movie there are two guns and in wrong spots. The nuke scene however is when the f-35 also launches it.

I think this is your best review yet. I was dying laughing!
I’m pretty sure that F-35B is actually the X-35B prototype. You can tell by the shape of the vertical stabs and how the VTOL fan system functions.
Yep! The production version has that big barn door speed brake cover over the lift fan.

The F35 could have been activated due to the ongoing “terrorist” event.
Apparently this road is deserted.
"physics don't apply" 🙃 it's always hilarious
That 35 hovering like a pro though
Love your videos, thank you for time and effort. Not that it really matters, Yak-38 also had an automatic eject.
As soon as the forward lift fan ate whatever box that was, the rest of the engine is still going to provide thrust from the hot section and the vectored nozzle pointing toward the ground. The auto-eject system gives, if memory serves, three audible voice warnings with 0.3 second delay between each warning so you have time to get into good seat posture, then you're out of the plane. But by this point, the engine that's still providing downward thrust (there's no FOD ingestion to shell out the motor, yet, but the lift fan is clearly done) through the aft nozzle is going to flip the plane ass-over-nose, ejecting the pilot towards the truck (which he might actually clear it, my understanding is the seat is pretty good at correcting for airplane attitude) but definitely send the plane crashing into Bruce Willis and exploding instantly.
Not that it matters, since they put guns under the intakes where some pretty important magic boxes go, so you're guaranteed to ground abort as soon as you start the integrated power package (the F-35's version of an APU).
Thank you brother mover I can't speak for haters cuz haters going to be haters I wish you would do more of these reactions I appreciate it and I will say thank you for your expertise keep up the good work peace out

Let's be honest, the only reason "Body-Positivity Amelia" appeared in this movie was new-toy effect...
Well thank you for breaking down the mistakes

The Yak-38 VTOL had an auto eject function but its sensors were often faulty and caused ejections even in stable hovers. Information gathered from the Yak-38 and 141 program would be used by Lockheed Martin after the collapse of the USSR to create the F35.
Loved your hilarious commentary “… He’s dead… Roll the credits!!!” Thanks so much for the LOL!!!

07:19 LMAO!! I know nothing about fighter jets, but the reaction puts me in tears!!!
The Soviet Yak38, the "Forger" had a VTOL system very close to that found on the F35 and also featured an auto-eject mode that automatically punched out the pilot in case the aircraft rolled too hard in VTOL mode. The legend says pilots were also randomly ejected as the system was not 100% reliable!
Yes, that is true! "And also during the 90s the Soviet Union was finishing its own economic and political disaster, and the resulting that swept across the Russian military created a mountain of problems for Yakovlev to overcome. Luckily for Yakovlev, America’s favorite plucky multi-billion dollar defense contractor raced in to save the day. As the Iron Curtain receded across Europe, defense giant Lockheed Martin started to pour money into Yak-141 program in order to glean some sweet, sweet former Soviet engineering secrets. The two companies allegedly signed an agreement in 1991 (but not revealed until 1995) that outlined funding for additional Yak-141 prototypes, including a plan to fly the remaining operational prototype the Farnborough Airshow in September 1992.
While Lockheed most likely had zero intention of helping produce the Yak-141 for export; it would make more sense that the entire contract was a cover for procuring testing data on the Yak-141 program, including most importantly any VTOL data obtained through years of testing and development."
the Yak-38 also had a automatic ejection system and a auto landing in vtol mode, the yak 41 most likely had the same feature too.
Yak 38 and su 33 also have a automatic mode for the ejection seat the yak if the lift jets fail and the su 33 on take off if it sinks below a certain height after leaving the ski ramp on russian cvs, also yes this has happened where a pilot has forgot to turn off the auto mode and tried to land

Mover you crack me up, I could just imagine if you were in charge of military aviation authenticity scenes in movies the average film credits would be ten times longer than the actual films 14 sec clip. 🤣
That's an interesting fact about automatic ejection! I remember another jet that had it - also was VTOL, YAK-38, Soviet/Russian, allegedly so difficult and dangerous machine, that it was also auto-detecting when to eject its pilot (given the pilot probably has not realized he has to eject right now) :D
FYI this jet is equipped with a Phantom's H-7 ejection seat as seen by the handles (Manual Override is clearly visible in the stick scenes) and the headrest shape except they replaced the face curtain handles with a really dumb looking board to act as a headrest. No parachute installed too.
Regarding canopy fracture systems, they do cause superficial cuts on activation which is why you should always fly with a visor down, not a problem on the F-35 due to the helmet mounted sight displays. The Tornado used the same system and they went to a dual visor system to give the crew the option of having the clear visor down all the time. It is a trade-off for the time saved in the ejection. A classic historical ejection is Brian Udell's supersonic ejection from an F-15E in a near vertical dive at Mach 1.15 with initiation being at about 6000ft as I recall. With the 0.4 second delay for the canopy, rear seat firing followed by another about 0.4 second delay for sequencing until the front seat fired Udell had less than 1.2 seconds before he would have hit the water in the seat before separation would have occurred. The USAF researched adding canopy breakers to the seats and that removed the need for the initial delay to allow for more rapid egress.
Going thru the canopy of a F-15 and other aircraft without a canopy fracture system is possibly more hazardous due to the more random shearing of the material. Look for photos of Keith Gallagher's KA-6 'partial ejection' (a complete misnomer really.) His canopy fractured leaving serrated plexiglass aimed at his midsection due to his position in the jammed seat. In other cases that area of the canopy will be struck by the aircrew's legs which will break it, but the impact can cause injury too.
They tried adding a canopy fracture to the F-16 but the transparency is up to an inch or so thick and the detonating cord would not reliably shear it enough to clear the pilot unless it was thick enough to cause injury or block visibility. The F-22 canopy is too strong as well.
www.ejectionsite.com/pirep.htm - both Udell (Back in the Saddle) and Gallegher's reports are in there.
