    Can you do a more in depth lighting video? Super interested in your set up!! Also could you let me know what controllers you are using for lightkey?

      Hey Noah! ya maybe we'll get around to doing a more in depth vid of that. I'll check with the team. The fader bank controllers are made by Icon Pro Audio. We have a Platform X and a Platform M+.

    Are you guys running SDI to your video switcher? Do you guys notice any latency on your in house screens from what’s happening in real time?

    • @CedarHillsSandpoint
      @CedarHillsSandpoint  3 года назад +2

      Hey Orlando! Everything connects to our switcher using SDI. For inputs that start as HDMI, we use converters to change them over either at the source or right before they connect to the switcher. We notice almost zero latency in the system as a whole. However, we notice a slight latency on our house screens, due the latency our projector adds internally.
      *Since posting this video, we have upgraded our switcher to the 2 M/E Production Studio 4k.

      Also, ensuring you have your displays selected to the "Game" mode will force your tv/projector to use it's fastest processing and refresh rate. When we did that we noticed a huge improvement in display latency.

    How do you guys route the eartec to the speakers in video village? ive been trying that for weeks and no luck

    • @CedarHillsSandpoint
      @CedarHillsSandpoint  2 года назад +1

      Hey Julio! So We are using the Eartect Hubs. They have have a direct connect for a headset/mic plug. We created a custom cable that allows us to plug into the Hub and take the audio signal that usually goes to the earphone and route that signal to our audio setup in Video Village.

    Hey guys, do you know what monitors and controllers you are using for your lighting setup? 15:28

      Hey Reuben! We have some basic computer monitors connected to our mac mini. The fader bank controllers are made by Icon Pro Audio. We have a Platform X and a Platform M+.

    How do you bring the ear tech audio into your studio monitors? We have the ear tech stuff and the hub and want to bring in into our production room without having our mix guy having to wear an ear set.

    • @CedarHillsSandpoint
      @CedarHillsSandpoint  2 года назад

      Hey Tim! The Hub has output/input connections to add an optional Headset/Mic. (NOT the "Link", that is for linking multiple Hubs). We built a custom cable to plug into the Output-to-headphones jack. We run that cable into our broadcast audio desk (AH SQ7) and can route that to which ever AUX output or SEND we need.

      @@CedarHillsSandpoint Awesome Thanks so much! Do you use a seperate mic line to talk back without having to use a headset as well? I am curious how you made the cable 1/8 in ring and sleave seperated to get audio feed one way and mic another?

    • @CedarHillsSandpoint
      @CedarHillsSandpoint  2 года назад

      @@timjohnson8328 well, we just send the Eartec audio out of the HUB, we don't send an external mic into the HUB....I suppose you could tho. Just have to convert the input jack into a connector type that would accept the plug of your mic. We do have a talk-back in Broadcast, tho, but it only routes through our DANTE network so it can be routed to our In-Ear systems, as well as for use during sound checks through our FOH speakers. ...hope that helps...

    My two cents: The lighting and video install seems pretty decent, but that audio install is ugly. You have all of the bones there, (minus the mipro stuff - get some shure ULXD's and sennheiser IEMS) but cable management is non existent. Start with some floor boxes on stage and install a single 48u mid atlantic rack on stage left. Throw all of that gear in the rack and tidy it up.
