I am starting to consider my fast pigeon as a modern day John Lennon. They both put together fantastic bands and at the start Miku used a Rickenbocker much like John's. Hmmm? I guess that would make Kanami a modern day Paul McCartney. Amazing band.
I agree,. John Lennon was a great talent but an absolute nasty piece of work. ..the way he treated his sons , his wife and everybody else he was a disgraceful human being. ..a bully who many times had his hands round women's necks . .. extremely talented but make no mistake you would of hated him if you knew him or worked for him. ...Paul McCartney was the nicer bloke and greatly talented but in my opinion David Bowie was the best of that generation and Freddie Mercury who came after.
Miku reminds me of Lucille Ball. Doesn’t take herself too seriously. Has no inhibitions and just wants to bring entertainment and happiness to people. Love her and her band mates so much.
Rock in me is about not getting bogged down searching for life’s little meanings and get away from the moaners. It’s about building the future you’ve dreamt of and doing it your own way. It’s how you reach your desires. It’s how you come to live your dreams. I don’t know how Long it took Kanami to write the music once she read the lyrics, but what she wrote is the very essence of Miku. It’s bright and positive. It’s fast and happy. Just the thing for skipping from one side of the stage to the other. It probably isn’t on everyone’s top five list. But it’s the perfect delivery system for the wise little pigeon of happiness to drop a smile into the hearts of all that hear her. Miku seems to have a base joy-in-life level of around seven. When she is on stage she’s never less than a nine. From what I’ve seen of the London and Paris concerts she’s dialed herself up to a twelve or more. World domination by Band-Maid will be great. God I love this band.
This is their normal hijinks during a live show. They play to their personality traits, but it is also where we see that Miku is still the leader of the band. All Maidiacs love these antics - humanizing five ladies who are, quite frankly, goddesses. Miku's songs allow her to shine and also give Saiki a break. I love Rock in Me - it's great driving in the car and blasting this one out so everyone can enjoy it with you as well.
Love that dynamo of a little pigeon! This does give you a sort of flash back in time to what Band-Maid "might" have been if they had not added Saiki. More poppy/idol like, and maybe not survived. Luckily it was Miku herself who realized that her voice was to "sweet" to sing lead in a hard rock group. AND that she does all that bouncing and running around on stage with those 30 inch freaking high Mary Jane's and still has whole ankles is a miracle!
Miku is who set the hook in me when I watched my first (and their first) BAND-MAID video. I think I watched every one of their videos that night, and I have been smitten with all of them and their awesome tunes ever since. BAND-MAID the Best active Rock Bank in the World!
I love this song! This song is perfect for our little pigeon. It is fun and energetic and puts a smile on my face! Plus you get to hear Kanami's voice on back up as well!
I think Miku realising that she couldn't cut it on lead vocals, and hiring another singer was the stroke of genius that made this band the force they are today. I mean, she can certainly sing, but Sai-chan takes it to a level that Kuruppo can't quite reach. Together, they are dynamite.
See you at the Echoplex in LA on September 30th. I read in a Japan in Motion interview from December last year that Misa and Miku both read all the comments posted on RUclips and it encourages them very much. Miku also said that the goal has not changed. Not Japan domination but rather World Domination. I would not bet against her. Absolutely love this band.
I love Miku’s voice. Hard rock may not be the best for it, but anything pop would shine with her singing. And she gives the band variety. Absolutely love this song and her performance. The lyrics, while positive, are quite deep and have the mark of a brilliant lyricist. She rocks. And she pops.
If you've ever watched one of their posted full live shows, they don't take a break. Two one hour sets with no intermission. Saiki has to rest her voice at some point. They have "Miku's Magic Time" where she interacts with the audience and, not knowing Japenese, I assume is a sort of comedy a routine she does for the audience while the other members take a break, as you can see them come back on stage and she takes the mic in "Rock in Me". In turn, Saiki and Kanami come out and perform a couple of tunes with Saiki singing and Kanami accompanying her on acoustic and singing back up, giving Miku a break. No, Miku doesn't have the vocal power and control Saiki has. But Miku was originally the lead singer, and it was her idea to hold auditions for a stronger vocalist. Then she worked hard on becoming a very strong rhythm guitarist to back up Kanami in addition to singing back up. To me, that speaks volumes about the type of person Miku is. She cares more about the well being of the band than her own ego. And I agree. She might not be as strong as Saiki vocally. But she does have that adorable stage presence that just pulls you in. Miku has a really nice voice, but she definitely can't do what Saiki does for the band vocally, her understanding that and finding Saiki to do it is what makes this band succeed. Miku has the stage presence unlike Saiki or as far as I've seen from videos. Miku interacts with the audience both between songs and while she is sing, Saiki seems more all business. I think Miku cheerful and adorable side along with some of the more serious sided members helps make this group unique, even their playful interactions on stage at the beginning is cute and funny!
@@WorldOfNothin If you read the interview from the Musician "Mook" magazine issued in Jan 2019 (sold on their official web site), Saiki says right out that she only wants to sing and wishes and asks Miku to do all the other stuff like speaking on TV interviews, crowd interactions, marketing and all the activities that does not require singing. It's very interesting how each member has their own place within the group and they gel so well. You can read the translation on band maid subreddit on reddit. You can tell Saiki is really shy with strangers.
Last couple of European shows have had this back-to-back with 'Time', another Miku solo song. They just played London and Paris, and are on the way to Germany, if I remember correctly. The upcoming USA Tour has sold out, so they just added another New York show.
Rick, they played London on Saturday, Paris on Sunday, and Bochum - Germany Monday (technically still tonight). 3 gigs, in 3 countries, on 3 nights - I went to all 3 and I'm exhausted just being in the audience 😧. They have a 1 day break before playing their last european gig in Hamburg
I just came home from the Bochum Show yesterday. And holy moly is was absolutely incredible again!! The atmosphere there was absolutely amazing!!! The drum solo from Akane was a Highlight for sure. :))
IIRC, on the complete DVD, this song comes right after Miku's "omajinai (magic spell) time" when the other band members kind of wander around, take a break, etc., while she talks to the audience and gets them chanting the spell like in a maid cafe. That's why the beginning seems strange and she's trying to get the rest of the band back and ready to play. After you get through the songs (let's face it, you're going to react to their whole damn catalogue), you should react to a video of the magic spell time. That would be... interesting. ;-)
I think having Miku sing solo once in a while is a nice change and this style of song definitely suits her voice better... the harder stuff is for Saiki's lower voice :D "The Non-Fiction Days" would be great next ;)

This is a kick ass song...lots of great stuff in this one. A little bit of pop, some prog metal/rock, a hint of ska and just a fun melodic song to listen to. When rocking all Band-Maid in your a car when you need just a bit of a respite from the unbridled heavy metal and relentless double-kick intensity, this is a good one to transition into some of their other less metal stuff. Fuckin' po!!
This song has grown on me. I also wouldn't call it one of their best, and it wouldn't be a song I'd pick if I was trying to interest somebody in Band-Maid, but it's just a fun song, helped so much my how much Miku clearly enjoys singing it. It does sound better live (as in when you are actually there) too. As for a next choice, I'd say the obvious two are "Domination" and "Non-Fiction Days", mainly because good live versions exist (and they are good songs). I wish there was a live version of "Glory" as that's terrific live, but there's only the official video. Don't worry. There's still plenty of good stuff left. They did a two hour set on Saturday night, and I bet nearly everyone had several personal favourites that didn't make the cut.

The studio version pales in comparison, and Miku's guitar overpowers Kanami at times in the mix--the sounds coming out of that Marshall amp sound so good!! It's almost punk rock. And Clang is jaw dropping too!

I think you guys severely underestimate how poor I am. Ontop of how far away London is 👌. If I had 50k subs I might be able to afford to go to concerts but.. Alas I don't lol. 😅
@@EvilcorkinReacts It used to be the case if you book a train a long way in advance it is well cheap. I went from London to Redruth in Cornwall for £15 years ago by booking in advance.
The point with concerts should be over a 2 year period where he may be able to see a few groups he has reacted to and then vlog the concerts to put on the channel for fans. ... it's less than 2 months since he started doing band maid reactions and it's just like expected to drop everything and go to the concert. ...no one listens that he already was going to a concert in June which was pre-booked and the costs that go with it. ...one guy on here said it does not matter about cost, travelling, getting time of work or anything else. ..just do it. Go to see band maid. .. basically the dates of the concert should be put on here and then left as that. ..if he can afford to go and get the time of work he would go. ..if not, he won't be going. ...
Keep saving up. It will be worth it. I think I used up my Christmas and birthday presents for the next ten years to make it to the show in London but it was everything I expected and more. Not only was the music awesome but they impressed me with how much fun they appear to be having and how down to earth they are. I saw them last week in London, they did a Japanese set which is 2 hour long. They played this and Time which is also a Miku song. I paid for VIP and got to see the band really close up and Miku has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen. Seeing as you like metal music and Japanese stuff you should give Unlucky Mopheus a try. @@EvilcorkinReacts It used to be the case if you book a train a long way in advance it is well cheap. I went from London to Redruth in Cornwall for £15 years ago by booking in advance.
There still is the ticket price though, so at least the price was not a s high to see BlackPink!
The point with concerts should be over a 2 year period where he may be able to see a few groups he has reacted to and then vlog the concerts to put on the channel for fans. ... it's less than 2 months since he started doing band maid reactions and it's just like expected to drop everything and go to the concert. ...no one listens that he already was going to a concert in June which was pre-booked and the costs that go with it. ...one guy on here said it does not matter about cost, travelling, getting time of work or anything else. ..just do it. Go to see band maid. .. basically the dates of the concert should be put on here and then left as that. ..if he can afford to go and get the time of work he would go. ..if not, he won't be going. ...
Keep saving up. It will be worth it. I think I used up my Christmas and birthday presents for the next ten years to make it to the show in London but it was everything I expected and more. Not only was the music awesome but they impressed me with how much fun they appear to be having and how down to earth they are. I truly hope I get the opportunity to see them again.

I saw them last week in London, they did a Japanese set which is 2 hour long. They played this and Time which is also a Miku song. I paid for VIP and got to see the band really close up and Miku has to be the cutest thing I have ever seen.

I heard miku say subscribe to evil or else. .. she has noted he has done 21 reactions. ...this song is not one of my favourites and would not be worthy of a top 10 placing. .. interesting I had a look at band maid views on this site. ..turn me on is storming away and could be the people's choice as it has currently the most views and stands at number 2 in all his videos which is a great feat. ..however in no way can we look just on what song has the most views with band maid. .. other criteria needs to be added. .. having said that turn me on is a fantastic song and in my top 3. ..however evil has a good lot more to do before finally picking his number 1 and then let the arguments begin. ..lol

Surviving is the name of the game. ....he will really appreciate the great band maid fans that have supported him in subs and views and it's fantastic that he has managed 21 videos in less than 2 months. ..how many others have done that. ..more to come of course....
