Miku and Kanami are the two shortest Band-Maid members at five feet tall each. All of the Maids are petite, but boy are they a powerhouse with their music.
B-Drag, thanks for reacting to this one. This is a Miku song (to give Saiki's voice a break). Almost every Band-Maid fan loves this song. Just watch Miku's joy and enthusiasm for singing it. The audience loves their part when they join in. That is the reason Band-Maid connects so well with their fans. Yes, audience participation is important, but the joy the band has for playing it is also apparent.
I love this band! I admire the Mighty Miku Kobato so much! A woman of rare character who was destined to be a rock star. Then she went out and worked her ass off to make it a reality! I've often said you could drop Miku Kobato in the middle of the Sahara with a kazoo and she would still find a way to become a rock star! All hail the dynamite in a small kawaii package!
This song perfectly encapsulates Miku's original vision of Band Maid with herself as lead vocals - still has that amazing Band Maid sound, but much more "poppy" without Saiki's power vocals to carry the hard rock compositions .... for some extreme crowd interaction, check out Miku wading into the crowd for omajinai time during their first visit to New York a few years ago . ruclips.net/video/oqTDMtiGEds/видео.html
Miku is such a great entertainer.. The chemistry in this band is just amazing. Their are some videos in the RUclips-averse from Band Maid's Christmas acoustic set. You should check them out, and they are available on their official YT channel 😉 🤘❤🔥🤘
Stuff like this is why seeing them in a smaller venue is so much fun! I saw them in Salt Lake City in 2023 when Miku had an adorable interaction with a young female fan dressed as her, red rose and all. I love BAND-MAID and their music because it always makes me happy!
Miku usually get one solo song on each album and they are always a great change during a set. She has a solo EP- Hatofull. The first three songs are pop/rock variations, but the last three, Fuwafuwa, Voice and Superstar are genre busting gems.
This song and the instrumentals are an opportunity for Saiki (the main vocalist) to take a break. Miku (and the rest of the members) love the fans but Miku isn't shy about it. At one show she walked out into the audience to perform "Omajinai time" and everyone made space for her. She was a little nervous but I can guarantee she was as safe there as she would be at home.
This was their "plugged in" part of their 2022 US tour. When they returned in 2023, they were "wireless" and gave their crew a break from chasing cords. With that, they were able to move around and off stage, a hint of what became the Yokohama show with the longest runway and 2nd level circuit around the arena (was on the 2nd level rail at that show and I caught a feather from the small Pigeon as she walked by us singing this exact same song, lol!). FYI, this song, or a similar Miku song, usually ushers in her famous "Omajinai" (magic spell) time, giving Saiki (Lead V) a "Pee" break (really a strategic voice rest), Po! 🦍🍌
The roadie you see is Mu-chan. Mu-chan was a replacement for the regular stagehand who had become ill and couldn't go on tour. She got a lot of stage time in 2022 before Band-Maid went wireless for their North American tour in 2023.
Daisuke Kondo had crashed his Harley and spent 3 months in hospital getting put back together. There was a nice touch by Kanami having 2 photos of him stuck to her pedal board throughout the tour.
The pure joy Miku has doing these servings, especially her songs, are so fun and inspiring! Other Miku songs include "Time" and "Sayonakidori", and are fantastic! I been able to see Miku do all three, live, and her pure entertainment joy is always awesome! There is a Vladimir video from a European stop where Miku literally goes into the crown and you see how small she is and she comments that everyone is really tall, so funny! Miku is a dynamo, for sure, and a natural entertainer! Then throw in Magic Spell Time and an instrumental and that spells out Saiki's break time.
Miku is just over 5 feet tall... probably 5'4" in the heels. Oh, and by the way, she's performing on a tightrope there, as, notoriously, she falls down during shows on a regular basis.
The vocal versatility of the band is crazy... first you have Saiki, of course, whose tones, pacing, phrasing and other techniques vary a lot from song to song. Sure, sometimes it's because of an effect on the mic, but she has to learn to sing through those effects so it sounds good, and her technique range is broad, even sans effects. You can have her sing a song alone, but of course in most songs she's backed up by Miku, the most common arrangement. But there are a ton of ways that they vary this, including (mostly on older songs) having Miku sing entire verses herself. Or they'll even trade vocals word for word, or other cool ideas. And the harmonies... I don't think we've seen as good since Lane Staley and Jerry Cantrell. Then you have songs here Miku gives Saiki a break entirely, which is somewhat rare so it becomes a special treat in a show. But that's not all... there are songs where the other three join in gang vocals (you can even see a moment where Misa is singing in the Freedom video, and you'll note she always has a mic in front of her). Kanami does a lot of these sorts of vocals, and see her back Saiki up on the accoustic duets between them. Even Akane sings, backing up Miku on the acoustic version of Sayonakadori. So the varying ways they can approach a song vocally are myriad, which is one of the many reasons why every one of their 130 or so songs now are all listenable to great.
You haven't seen any Miku song before? 🫣🤔😃 Well there are some: I think the most famous is Sayonakidori which exists as a live performance (Shibuya/Eggman) of the original song and as an official release from their acoustic concert. It's best served in a double feature reaction 😅 And there are others like "Time" and "Beauty and the beast" 🥰 from their earlier days. The latter is a great punk/pop song which is heavily underestimated. Ah, and you should check out "Cluppo" blindly: ruclips.net/video/kR-FPvYgPjM/видео.htmlsi=EOl88wz2fFUPLwit 🕊️🕊️🕊️😍
Ppl tend to forget that miku is an idol winner , she beat out 2600+ ppl , miku is a master of melody, if u want to hear the fully functional n operational small pigeon, react to cluppo voice ,po!
To really see how Miku can sing, I suggest you react to songs from her alter ego character. 'Cluppo'. She has invented a whole style of music that she calls "Hippy-Poppo". Some absolutely beautiful songs. Start with 'Peace & Love'. And go from there.
Miku was born to entertain and while she can come across at times as a little goofy never underestimate this point size powerhouse, just like Betty White, Dolly Parton and Lucille Ball she is whip smart, highly driven and the penultimate professional. I'm 65 and ever since I tumbled onto B-M Miku has been my inspirational touchstone. May her and her Sister Rock Goddesses long reign on the stage Po 👍🍻
Miku is the most entertaining person in the world of rock music.
Yes, she is also the cutest rock star in the world!
Miku and Kanami are the two shortest Band-Maid members at five feet tall each. All of the Maids are petite, but boy are they a powerhouse with their music.
That woman is magical. Just wanted to say that. 🙂
Of course the crowd is going nuts Miku has already cast her Magic Spell Time on them. Miku is so damn funny, her timing and comments are just great.
Miku is the energizer pigeon. Please react to Sayonakidori acoustic for more Miku.
I'll put on the list
Backing vocals by Akane!!!

Happy happy Miku! Oh, the lucky little fella who got the pat on the head....
You MUST join Omaginaitime in Boston, Po! 🕊️

Thanks so much nice reaction!
Mike is the positive core of BAND-MAID!
How about The blighted star is the next song?

Miku crushed this performance. I saw them live last year and they performed it. Crowd favorite.

Rick -- I believe you're gonna wanna know the Maids names at some point:
Saiki Atsumi (Sy-i-Key or Psyche) “StarQueen" - Lead vocals
Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, Vocals, Lyricist, SpokesPigeon, and Founder
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead Guitar, Keyboards, Main Composer
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" aka: MISA MISA MISA - Bass
Thanks
My all-time favorite Band Maid song.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! another Vlad masterpiece

I saw them in Austin last year and this may have been the most fun song.
Looks like a blast.
Jojo, your smile tells everything.
It does. Thanks for watching.
Hey! Hey! 🖤
Ppl tend to forget that miku is an idol winner , she beat out 2600+ ppl , miku is a master of melody, if u want to hear the fully functional n operational small pigeon, react to cluppo voice ,po!
Voice is a stunning song especially when the chorus hits, Peace and Love is as catchy a pop song as you will ever hear, love them both.
My go-to Miku song. Always makes me feel good.
There's another song called TIME that Miku sings that's really good.

Miku Miku Hey Hey Hey
Miku is the shortest at 5' 1". MISA is the tallest at over 5' 7", but still, her Bass looks big on her.
she averages 1 song per album
