I do believe MISA said on Twitter that she's cut back on her drinking and feels better because of it. Also, sadly, Zepp Tokyo closed its doors on January 1, 2022. Tokyo still has Zepp DiverCity and Zepp Haneda, though.

Not a literal translation but here's my very loose translation of just the highlights
1:07 Miku starts off by her usual "are you enjoying?" and mentions how hot it is. She's thanking the audience and says the venue is jam packed even more than expected and that she can see people in the audience looking like they're suffocating.
1:45 She says don't worry, Saiki won't be back for a little while so everybody take 3 steps backwards. (For context, I've heard them talk about how they got worried at some of their concerts with people passing out with their concerts being so intense from beginning to end. In some venues they talked about having to pass out water to some people. This piece of info will become more important as you get into the Conqueror album.)
2:37 She then asks the crowd to let them know if you see someone in distress.

Thank you for this summary. Miku and the band always show so much respect and gratitude to their fans that it's heartwarming. Miku seems like the type of person who if she asks you to jump off a cliff, you find yourself in the air before thinking about it.
It's important for non-Japan-speaking fans to know the character of each member. Besides not getting the realtime meaning of what Saiki and Miku are singing, there's so much more that, without translation, a majority of their fans are missing out on. So a big THANKS, Mark, for your translation!

Miku is so endearing with her personality and her bow legs and pigeon toed accentuate the cosplay look
SkiBuff -- Akane's banana, MISA's drinking and being shoeless, and on and on are not put-ons. Other than Miku's flamboyance and a few exaggerations, what you see on or off stage is how they really are. I've been following them closely nearly everyday for eight years. The Maids are consistent and genuine. Sure, there's a few minor backing tracks going on, but the "act" is the Maids just being themselves, even if it gets a bit awkward at times, i.e. Saiki saying "I love you" to the crowd in English, etc. That's the thing I love the most about the Maids... their authenticity!

It has become something of a troupe. They all have very distinctive personalities but have played them up and accentuated them. It's part of what makes them endearing.
You're viewing a reverse copy of the actual video. The only left handed member in the band is Saiki. All the others are right handed. In the start of the band both Saiki and Miku were chosen to "hold" the guitar. In the end it was Miku who ended up "holding" the guitar as she was right-handed while Saiki being left handed it looked strange having the guitars pointing in opposite direction. The symmetry of the guitars was part of the band's look. Miku took "hold" of the guitar but was not really thinking about learning on how to play it. However, Miku revised her position after a while and started learning under the coaching and instructions of Kanami. Thanks - with lots of Peace and Respect from Canada. One of the videos on my channel has the Magic Time from the NYC show in 2019.
Saiki still plays guitar right-handed.

They call it Saiki's pee pause. Well it is a long pee 😂 but she has the time to drink and recreate her voice. I like how the mebmers take care of each other. Saiki's break is used to let Miku shine....perfect. They are perfect...everywhere
MISA switched over to beer on stage instead of whiskey for a while, and has recently cut back significantly on her drinking for health reasons.
Interestingly, the one who can drink the others under the table is Miku.
Which is impressive considering her height and probable weight.

Hm... IF the info that is around that Kobato used to be on the swimming team in her school is correct, and she is a former competitive swimmer even if only at high school level, then that could offer a measure of explanation. I've known some swimmer girls in my time, and some of the things about them ticked boxes that also seem to apply to Kobato. They could have odd but benign things going on with their blood pressure and resting heart rate (oddly low), and Kobato has this low blood pressure that gives her headaches when low pressure weather rolls in. These swimmer girls also got some pretty astounding core strength and general muscle development in ways that you'd never really think about, but they were seriously strong. As Akane might put it: "What is the strongest animal in the world? - Why, it is the Small Pigeon!", and Kobato's surprising strength is a running joke with the band. And finally, as a by-product of their surprising muscular development, swimmer girls really could handle their drink, drinking blokes under the table no sweat. And the band testifies to Kobato's prowess in that regard as well.
Rock was born as a fusion of other forms, blues, country, folk, jazz. New-ish at the time tech, radio- records-TV, brought the old forms to new ears and other new tech, electronic amplification made it possible for small groups to play and perform their experiments to a larger audience.
Over the later decades Rock split and split again into many competing branches.
Now even newer tech, the internet, computers, smart-phones, 5G, is bringing all the branches to new ears and a new fusion of disparate forms happens again. Tech making it possible for small groups, even individuals, to play and perform their experiments to larger, worldwide, audiences.
In an interview for the "Unseen World" scorebook Miku brings up two words. "Gentenkaiki" [back to the roots] and "Gentenshinka" [evolving through the current point] and applies them to their own journey that SBR is showing us. Thank you SBR.
I however think they apply more broadly to what they are doing to Rock itself. Rock, the fusion form, is back and Band-Maid is the group doing that fusion best, IMHO, YMMV.

I love the rocky, swingy feel this song has. Sort of like "Hey, Miss Murder" from AFI meets "Tainted Love" from Soft Cel.
I just love this lady and everything she stands for. She shows no fear, either doing her Magic Spell Time or singing solo acoustic. At some bigger shows there is a seperate section in the audience for ladies as seen here during Magic Spell Time. Akane got rid of ther tiny hat at the end of 2018. Oh no, Misa does drink- she gave some to someone in the audience once when on tour- There is fan cam of it. Kanami and Misa didn't change sides, for some reason this video is back to front ie. they are playing left handed.
It's a little weird to see this mirror imaged, i.e. no, Kanami and Misa haven't switched places. Somehow the video has been reversed like that.
And it was a bit of a tease with the rest of the band initially not turning up. The audience was told to clap harder, and then they might return - kind of thing.
There is one time they are actually reversed. In the DVD extra with the Sense CD they perform the song "Youth" with their positions reversed for some reason.

I'm glad I asked for this version. I find Miku's intro and chasing Mincho across the stage so entertaining. And as others have said the video is flipped/reversed.
Moe! Moe! Kyun! Kyun! Their charm points are based on their real personalities. While sometimes MISA might ham it up a little when she takes a swig of Jim Beam, she does drink during concerts. Saiki and Miku talked about her playing getting more groovy as she gets tipsy. However, there was one concert where MISA drank too much and couldn't play well, she said she cried backstage. Akane does love bananas and asks for them to be backstage.
I am concern if Misa drinks too much. I hope she's keeps it under control. I hate to see it affect her talent.
Misa was drunk during her first audition. Told by Kanami because she smelled it.
MISA said so too. She said she had been out all night drinking and went straight to the audition in the morning without going home. She talked about it on Band-Maid Prime.
It's interesting to see the difference between her Omajinai time in Japan vs the ones in the US and Europe. This one is so polished it seems like a perfectly practiced skit, which I'm sure it is. The ones overseas seem a lot more off-the-cuff with more improv and interaction. I'm sure the difference in venue size has an effect.
Hope you do react to more Band-Maid videos after you finish doing a first time through their catalogue, like you mentioned, even if you need to take a break and do other music in-between. We'll be here to continue the journey with you!
I think part of it too is in Japan, everyone knows what she's saying. Overseas, they may need to water it down a bit because very few people in the audience understands what she's saying.

My Japanese is way too bad to understand most of her magic spell time, but I can understand the gist of it on some of the sentences.
I would say the most important thing to get/understand from her talk except for the moe moe, kyun kyun part is "Sekai Seifuku" which means World Domination. She uses that a lot as it is basically the bands motto.
All I know is I can hardly wait to see them do their banana eating, drinking ,and magic time live next October brother
"Break" is a word to be not found in the dictionary of Miku.

The ZEPP 2018 and Shinkiba Studio Coast 2017, both available on bandmaidprime (and some on bili), are two of the best performed concerts with the best song lists ever recorded, imo. The 2021 Line Cube Shibuya concert comes in at a close second. If they would have had better mixing (too much ambient mix muffled Kanami’s guitar and muddied up MISA bass), it would be right up there with the other two.

I head it from a good source. Misa is not drinking as much anymore. And the whole Kanami loves Saiki. Was sort of an inside joke, that got out of hand. And under a little bit of Miku's direction. It got played up quite a bit
