That he admitted too. He hinted that there was stuff they didn’t seize like his Raspberry PI. Who knows what he was doing with that or what other things he may have been doing that they didn’t find out at the time.
He also could’ve kept some of that bitcoin and made more money off the investment.

@trippmoore exactly. I mean, he had to pay his lawyer somehow. 😂 Never mind, he just said he got a public defender.
He also said he was getting a bunch of requests for his posts, and said did this for the money since he didn't have a job now and he used this allegedly to do a few things with his friend before he passed away, but doesn't mention what. I just don't see $600 funding everything, especially since he never mentions any real financial hardship. Makes me think he was doing just fine selling data. 🤑😅
I'm surprised he didn't mention using the money for his son, you'd think that would be his first obligation and desire, you know, taking care of his child. Only reason I'm saying this is because by not saying all that, makes me think there could be some pretty decent wealth hidden via the pie or something
He admitted he had two wallets, so I'd bet there's more than two and that they didn't find the other money.
Or he just really made one mistake and immediately got caught. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I got my car broken into it was unlocked. Most everyone blamed me for not securing my belongings and no one said a criminal shouldn't be criming.
Why doesn't anyone blame the companies for not securing their systems?
As a customer I think I'd be just as angry at the company for not securing my info as much as I'd be at the hacker.

      I get that.
My issue is that when that happened I get the wag of the finger as though it's my fault that criminals will be criminals.
However, when corporations get lazy, no one really blames them. Their laziness can result in serious harm to the consumer, but more often than not, they try to hide it or just say "whoopsie, what ya goina' do?"
They might fix it after the fact. But that'll be after your bank account gets hacked or someone opened up credit cards with your social security number.

There is no way you left no trace at all, plus many servers are logging in real time remotely to logging servers all over the place, its hard enough to even keep track of which logs get sent where its a mess.
Good luck finding a way to delete all your tracks when even the people working on the infrastructure loose track of what goes where and how...

Man I feel like this was just the tip of the ice berg and there are alot more stories to tell. This could be the jumping off point for a series of episodes that cover less well known and even unknown cases of hacking incidents. I worked in the computer and network security field for over a decade starting in the very early days of the internet since 1994. I worked for a multinational company that was one of the early pioneers in this burgeoning field at the time and know and have worked with some brilliant people who have since become big names in the industry. And let me tell you I have quite a few interesting stories I could share with you. If you are interested in collaborating on some things for this channel let me know and we will talk story. This is the first time I’ve heard any of the interviewees playing the “Victim card”. Oh “I did it for this reason” and “if I only had this I wouldn’t of done this”. Bro is guilty. Wrap it however you want, but you’re a bad person.
The tipping point for me was selling the RDP access for the clients Server. I mean… wow!

Sorry but it’s hard to believe that someone got fired or laid off at a tech company for no good reason and can’t find another tech job - or any job - for months without it being personal (and I mean literally personal, not based on race). I think there’s more to his story than he’s telling - at best he just wasn’t good enough for it and his co-worker he didn’t like was smarter than him. It’s also suspicious that he got hired at a big tech company right out of high school just for knowing how to do some things, was there for a short time, then got
hired at another big tech company without a computer science degree or a lot of experience.
