So I just heard Kane Brown's name for the first time in early December, when I saw the pilot episode of Blake Shelton's Barmageddon. Blake introduced him as country singer Kane Brown and I was like WHO? I took one look at him and was like this guy is Black - or biracial definitely. I was intrigued because there is only a teeny tiny negligible amount of Black country singers. Kane has a nice smooth voice, and I love his baritone. His song lyrics are really descriptive and the stories he tells are traditional country. The best thing about him, though, is that he blends traditional R&B and Pop together with country - and that speaks to his flexibility and creativity. I hope I can see him in concert.
