The Black Panthers opened day care centers all over Oakland. They were teaching entrepreneurship and Constitutional rights to a community of people (Blacks) that the White establishment TOTALLY resented. They followed the police and watched their slam-their-heads-to-the-pavement interactions with the Black Community. The Black Panthers were vilified because they were empowering the Black community at a time when that was NOT acceptable. They never went into a White neighborhood, nor did they advocate that anyone else do it. THEY WERE NOT A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION.

I've never been able to understand why some people think that the Black Panthers were an anti-white group - there was actually a group of white people who called themselves the White Panthers who dedicated their efforts to helping further the Black Panthers' cause.
Malcom X and the Black Panthers wasn't violence, they talked about defending their community. I've read a variety of history on both sides and I read a lot of harassment that happened to them because of their stand against their mistreatment. The second amendment is there as a deterrent to ensure such abuse never occurs in the first place, and it applies to all, regardless of race or the amount of tyranny being applied to it. Tomi got smoked, the Blaze tried to cut it down in Tomi's favor with a six minute clip, but she even got smoked in that clip, and the Blaze deceptively cut the clip when Tomi makes a strong point about calling for the death of cops, but doesn't include Charlamagne's devastating response.
Very weak performance by Tomi. Her biggest failing is that she doesn't question authority... likely has something to do with the fact that she's ambitious.
She also lacks clarity.
For example, she kept making the point that the Black Panthers used violence and that she'd never support any group that used violence in response to violence.
