A quick question, you said you got this at 21 lacs onroad. Buying 23 model in 2024, what should be the best deal according to to you ?
Just bought 1.5 Ambition DSG AT exactly a week back. VAG cars are an absolute delight. I've owned VAG cars since 2005. Never had any problems, other than routine service. The diesel cars gave brilliant mileage, turbo petrol is not very fuel efficient in city driving
I think the AC issue is only with 1.0 engines ( currently owning) but after software update they somehow tackled it and its better than before. Anyways great review. 👌 Do check mine as well, I own 1.0 AT.
Maine gaadi snow me chalayi thi when there was very small patches of ice in road which I was able to manage easily. But, this is not an off roader car etall. This is a FWD car like many other normal cars.
how is Driving experience in City in Go-to-GO Traffic. have gone through Few Comments, where its mentioned the Turbo Lag jerking issue is more in DSG gearbox. my 70% Riding is City & 30% riding is highway. which engine would u suggest me. 1.0 litre AT or 1.5 ltr AT
1.5 doesn’t have any issues in City traffic at least I haven’t found any jerking. However, if you drive mostly in City, I’d recommend go for 1.0 AT and save some money.
Hi! I have the same variant although in 2024! 1. Wanted to ask how your experience with the ventilated seats has been, for me personally it somehow doesn’t seem like adequate ventilation compared to other cars. 2. Other than that, there’s an option in the 10inch infotainment system which says ‘skins’ although none are pre loaded in it Any idea guys who have downloaded custom themes for their kushaq? 3. The button which is on the steering wheel (right side top, button without function) is there any way to customize it to get it to work?
1. Honestly, I don’t have any prior experience of using ventilated seats hence can’t compare but I found them okay with outside temperatures of about 35-36 degrees. More will Be tested this summer in 45 degrees. 2. No idea 3. No idea
I have 1L style kushaq 2022 model, ran 20k till now Things i saw which is a pain in the ass, 1. sqeeky doors....added tape at showroom, it didnt completely solve but its working somewhat 2. Weak AC, was Pathetic in last summer! Why VW why 3. Weak engine, its adequate in city and moderate highway but in hills with full load car struggles a lot till turbo picksup which i need to revv it a lot because of the inclination.(is the bs6-2 engine more better/tractable?) 4. Electronics is not tuned well, request sensors hangs ups sometimes, mirrors doesnt open sometimes, frequent disconnection with connected devices and list goes on.... this is really annoying! 5. Fuel efficiency is just adequate, really hoping for little higher number, i do drive sedate, but it becomes more evident when im driving fully loaded Things which are unacceptable and needs to get better 1. Noisy engine, thou i dont know if the phase 2 has made it quieter, feels like a diesel than a petrol 2. Noisy motor all around(windows, mirrors) 3. Plastic quality is not good for a car which goes till 23L onroad. They should really give better meterials for inside. 4. If the doors are closed While the windows are rolled down half way, the the windows shakes and makes a rattling sound which feel very cheap and weak although these are solid doors 5. Doors doesn't shut properly, need to apply force, which i feel will have some toll on the locking mechanism in the long run. 6. Better sound system? Room for improvement. I really appreciate music and the system there is good but i heard better in other cars so why not....its goes above 20L+ 7. There is times when the gears doesnt slot to 2nd or 1st....sometimes reverse....and yes i did press my clutch all the way. This happened like 6 to 8 times ....though i didnt see this issue after 1st service 8. Seats are comfortable, though i felt like i need little more support to my back for the long distances. Its the only thing which makes me stop during long drives(when im driving alone) 9. Reverse camera is just bare minimum This sums up experience, as for the positives, its the same as everyone who owns a kushaq - driving dynamics breaks, body shell etc etc To me some of these negative are really making wanna sell off this and buy a new 1.5L kushaq😂 although many are fixable, some are not!
Confused bw creta top model ivt non turbo and kushaq 1.5 automatic...creta is offering some features like 360 and blind spit and front sensor plus it is ivt
Your confusion is absolutely valid. It’s true that you are going to miss out on features like 360 camera etc but Kushaq has its own plus points. I’d suggest take a test drive and decide.
You need to drive the car for about 20-25kms to get a good mileage figure. My new car (only 50kms on ODO) gave me 18kmpl during an early morning drive in Delhi as I drove for about 35kms. In very heavy traffic you’re not going to get more than 10kmpl.
Great review brother. I have a few questions as I am looking forward to switch from my Mahindra XUV 300 ( AMT - Diesel) . Its an awesome car as well but there are 2 major challenges I am facing which is pushing me to switch to a better option - 1 ) Huge turbo lag while picking up from slow speeds on a traffic signal etc. 2) The hill hold function doesnt work well on a slope as the car starts sliding back once I remove the brakes.. This is very intermittent but annoying especially when there is another vehicle right behind and upclose. What is your feedback about Kushaq on these 2 areas ? Will help me take a decision. Thanks in advance
1. No turbo lag in this car however, if you get a DSG, it has a conservative launch which means when you’re at halt, it waits for approx 1 sec after you remove foot from brakes. This has been deliberately added by Skoda to save DSG. 2. Hill hold works perfectly fine. The car stops and starts moving forward and never slides back. Tested many times on hills.
After sales I’ve no idea yet but it won’t be as good as Maruti or Hyundai. Maintenance - I negotiated to get the service maintenance package free of cost at the time of delivery due to which I’ll get zero bill for 4 years or 60,000kms. First service already done with a zero bill amount.
I booked Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo 1.5 MT July 2023 Manufacture car on 24th August with ex showroom price of 1669900 and discount of 153000. Is this a good deal for me? Sir! Please help me.
Anyday Kushaq is better than Creta. So I’d suggest go for Kushaq. If you drive more in city go for Ambition 1.0 and if you drive more on highways 1.5 is beast but it’ll cost more.
Always door rattling noice..in service center they will apply some lubricant spart after one week same noice will continue..beeding issue they won't replace that they will convince u with spray. And in my car after 1500km clutch problem while shifting gears from 1to 2nd and 2nd to3rd like jerking .if we go to service center they will definitely compromise u vehicle will be like this only..my experience was negative on skoda kushaq 1.5 .in Bangalore City u will get 8to9 km per lit milage
There’s only one solution, change your service center. Not all of them are good. And mileage totally depends on traffic condition however I can assure you that I always get 18-19 on highway with DSG.
Both cars have their own pros and cons. Creta is more feature rich while Kushaq has better performance and mileage. Please test drive both cars to find out what suits you better.
@@satpalsingh2426 I haven’t driven Creta so can’t comment. But due to cylinder deactivation in 1.5 TSi, mileage crosses 18kmpl mark on highways easily and can touch 20kmpl.
AT is always good considering the traffic conditions in almost all big cities. You'll not be disappointed and learning AT doesn't take much time. Sunroof you can leave and go for Ambition model which I think is the best value for money model.
Mixed reviews. I’ve heard of people complaining about spare parts and at the same time there are others who haven’t had any issues at all. I think if you live in a metro city, you shouldn’t have any issue as there’ll be multiple service centres in your reach.
I am getting only 7 to 8 in city driving in bangalore. Just got the car and has clocked 300 kms on the odometer. Does it mean that the engine has to set in yet? Post that i will get mileage like you mentioned? I go easy on the accelerator.
I was able to get 18kmpl as early as when my car was just 50kms driven. It was early morning city drive in Delhi with very less traffic that's why. However, you should anyway be able to get 10-14kmpl in city traffic as soon as you clock 500kms on ODO. The best way to get good mileage is being easy on the accelerator, so you're doing the right thing.
@SevenCreations I am speaking about moderate to heavy traffic conditions. On drive mode. Anyways will give it another couple of hundred kms and check. Thanks for the quick revert!
Delhi and Bangalore traffic is very different. In 1.0 AT, which I own, in normal office time I get 11-14 in Dehi. It drops 7-8 in Kolkata. Bangalore traffic is quite similar to kolkata
my skoda slavia 1.5 dsg automatic on highways if you drive at around 100-130 .. mileage is around 17-18 and if you drive 80-100 mileage increases to 20-21 even on ac.. i do hard accelerations when overtaking frequently.. but because it is a sedan.. aerodynamics are better then suv and also weight is 100 kg less so it gives more mileage... tank to tank.. and in winters without ac it gives around 2-3 kmpl more.. and it has 148 bhp engine with 250 nm torque .. and at steady speeds it runs on 2 cylinder mode half power .. so gets more mileage..well kausaq 1.5 has this technology
The issue doesn’t exist now. Of course you can drive in Kashmir but for better performance on hills, I’d suggest go for 1.5 engine if the budget permits. 1.0 is very good and 1.5 is a beast.
That's totally individual's choice but red would be high on maintenance i.e. cleaning etc. I've see multiple comments from you :) kab kar rahe ho book?
I was in Jaisalmer 2 weeks ago, the temperatures were around 38-39 and I didn't feel any issues with the A/C cooling. Just tried to park the car in shade whenever possible and that's all.
If you’re going to be driving mostly in bumper to bumper or city traffic, no use of getting a 1.5 I would suggest. Although DSG won’t break but it won’t be worth.
Get 1.5, 1L although is more than enough for normal use, you will miss the 1.5 always thinking it is more refined and has effortless acceleration. Be ready for higher maintenance and parts costs though.
The AC has been absolutely fine in summers too. I drove for 500km to Rajasthan in June with max temperatures of about 46-47 and I didn't feel any issues. The only observation is that if you park the car in the sun, it take a little while (10-15min) to cool down.
Never use 91 octane petrol in these engines. They are having high compression ratio - lower octane fuel will lead to carbon deposits in long term & will spoil the engine. Skoda guys never admit that coz they don't to mess up the sales. If anything happens, company will not entertain the warranty citing bad fuel used. I always use XP95 plus some additives, engine stays in mint condition. Kodiaq 2.0 TSI 40000 KMs owner here.
But the reality is, I don't drive in city limits only. Most of my driving is in areas where you cannot even expect XP95 being available. And also, for Kushaq, it's not mentioned anywhere (in user manual) to use XP95.
@@SevenCreations If you open the fuel lid - recommended is 95 octane. One can use 91 octane with risks of future engine complications. You are right, XP 95 is not available in remote areas but still I will say try not to fill 91 octane - if you must, fill only that can reach you for XP95 pump.
In my opinion, these are the possible reasons for very low mileage in the city 1. Very heavy bumper to bumper traffic, still you should get 7-8kmpl 2. Car is almost new like not even a month old and driven
Both are very different cars. Kushaq is 4.2m whereas Harrier is 4.5m or even more I guess. Harrier is definitely more spacious as compared to Kushaq. If 5 seat comfort is your top priority, don't buy Kushaq. If you occasionally have 5 seats occupied and want a compact car, Kushaq is the right one for you. Plus, Kushaq doesn't come in Diesel and Harrier is Diesel only (if I'm right).
@@SevenCreations thanks for the reply. May I know how is the long term reliability of DSg gearbox ? How is the AC performance? As you said in the video that AC performance theek hai ? Does it mean that AC is not that great
@@aarushsingh2006 DSG now is much reliable than what it used to be years back. The issues majorly were with Diesel engines. And let me assure you, it’s fun to drive as it’s lightning fast and very smooth. AC performance I’ve tested in 35 degrees outside temperatures and it’s worked very well no complaints. However, the real test would be in peak summers with 45 degrees.
Well tiredness is quite subjective....I am just 45+ and I have driven twice from Delhi to Kolkata and back in my Kushaq stile AT 1.0. Each time a stopover was at Varanasi. My first travel in that route was however in 2022 June in Ignis. Compared to Ignis tiredness was non existent. Of course you do have the odd pain here and there- mind you I have acute arthritis but I didn't feel much discomfort in kushaq. The suspension, the absence of body roll, the not so cushioned seats all add up. And yes from my home in Delhi to Varanasi Cantt area it is 857 kms which I have driven non stop many times. It is breeze but the roads are super good too.
too early a review, should have waited for post service. many questions unanswered. thud of doors, built quality etc are all known things about Skoda cars. Nothing new views to be honest. No offense

Mixed reviews. I’ve heard of people complaining about spare parts and at the same time there are others who haven’t had any issues at all. I think if you live in a metro city, you shouldn’t have any issue as there’ll be multiple service centres in your reach.
Is Kushaq now coming with 1.5 TSI Badging in the rear ?
Yes. 2023 onwards.
@@SevenCreations - What would be city avg mileage for 1.5 DSG ? and the remaining petrol indicator decreases very quickly.
@@satpalsingh2426 8-10 heavy bumper to bumper traffic
10-14 moderate running traffic
18-20 highways
13-15 hills while climbing with AC on
I only get 15 - 16 around, in highways. What was your speed range on highways? I have 1.5 DSG Ambition
I mostly drive at speeds of 80-100kmpl occasionally touching 110kmph. To get good mileage, the only thing you should do is avoid hard accelerations.
@@SevenCreations ok. I drove at a higher speed. No hard accelerations. Needed to drive 1250 kms single day
@@debojyotibanerjee8330 okay, in that case 15-16 is good I believe
my skoda slavia 1.5 dsg automatic on highways if you drive at around 100-130 .. mileage is around 17-18 and if you drive 80-100 mileage increases to 20-21 even on ac.. i do hard accelerations when overtaking frequently.. but because it is a sedan.. aerodynamics are better then suv and also weight is 100 kg less so it gives more mileage... tank to tank.. and in winters without ac it gives around 2-3 kmpl more.. and it has 148 bhp engine with 250 nm torque .. and at steady speeds it runs on 2 cylinder mode half power .. so gets more mileage..well kausaq 1.5 has this technology
Could you provide some details about service cost
I got first service for free as I had the SMP. More details here ruclips.net/video/KBPzrxawzrI/видео.htmlsi=wf5V4R9h9RtX02Wd
Esp issue ??
What about . Can we drive in kashmir.
I want to buy 1.0 of it
The issue doesn’t exist now. Of course you can drive in Kashmir but for better performance on hills, I’d suggest go for 1.5 engine if the budget permits. 1.0 is very good and 1.5 is a beast.
is there any underbody engine protection ?
Nope. I’m looking for one.
Which color is better : Red or White?
That's totally individual's choice but red would be high on maintenance i.e. cleaning etc. I've see multiple comments from you :) kab kar rahe ho book?

Normal Petrol from Bharat Petroleum mostly
How is the AC performance? I took a test drive of slavia 1.0 and 1.5 dsg but I felt AC was not upto the mark. If you can comment on that?
I was in Jaisalmer 2 weeks ago, the temperatures were around 38-39 and I didn't feel any issues with the A/C cooling. Just tried to park the car in shade whenever possible and that's all.
Bangalore trafic ke liye, is it worth to buy 1.5 DSG?
If you’re going to be driving mostly in bumper to bumper or city traffic, no use of getting a 1.5 I would suggest. Although DSG won’t break but it won’t be worth.
Get 1.5, 1L although is more than enough for normal use, you will miss the 1.5 always thinking it is more refined and has effortless acceleration. Be ready for higher maintenance and parts costs though.
Exclusively for Bangalore you should look at naturally aspirated engines as it gives immediate torque. You may like Elevate a bit more.
How did the AC perform in summer season?
Did you observe any deviation to what you said in this video after another 6 months of driving?
The AC has been absolutely fine in summers too. I drove for 500km to Rajasthan in June with max temperatures of about 46-47 and I didn't feel any issues. The only observation is that if you park the car in the sun, it take a little while (10-15min) to cool down.
@@SevenCreations Thanks. Reviews from actual users does help significantly.Planning to buy a kushaq 1.5 DSG.
Heya….i am also planning to buy….can you help me understand what is mileage in city as my 90% drive is in city and in traffic
City mileage is
10-14 kmpl with normal traffic
8-10 kmpl very heavy traffic
If you’re driving more in city, go for 1.0 Automatic
@@SevenCreations They suggested that mileage wise there wont be much difference between 1.0 turbo and 1.5. thanks for the comment
Yes. In city not much difference but 1.0 is more value for money if you drive more in city.
I think the tire size should be atleast 235/65 r

Sure I will
Never use 91 octane petrol in these engines.
@@silversmoke1432 I actually did check the lid today and I noticed it says 95 or min. 91. Thanks anyway for suggestions. 👍
sir why is my kushaq 1.0l giving 4-5 mileage in city
In my opinion, these are the possible reasons for very low mileage in the city
1. Very heavy bumper to bumper traffic, still you should get 7-8kmpl
2. Car is almost new like not even a month old and driven
Bro totally confused between harrier and kushaq 1.5 dsg style variant ? What's your suggestion? Can 5 people sit comfortably in this car ?

Owner .u really drive 800 km continuously without any tiredness?
Yes. Please check episode 1 of Rann of Kutch trip ruclips.net/video/rwxAz9LXu3w/видео.htmlsi=UiUhdbEkFpwfCkIU
