- The biggest flea market in Tokyo, Japan! On Day 4 of our Tokyo Travel Guide, we go vintage shopping 東京ヴィンテージ the Japanese way at the Tokyo City Flea Market 大井競馬場 . With over 250 to 300 vendors, this is one of Japan's biggest and best flea markets.
Join us on our Tokyo vlog as we rummage through secondhand clothes, rare collector’s items, cool bags, vintage film cameras, antiques, or anything vintage you can think of! Even the Japanese guys are dressed in the coolest menswear. We’ll also show you where to find a secret curry truck run by a popular Japanese RUclips guy 上杉 Uesugi @!

This was such a dope video , I love going to Swapmeets since a kid in Socal so seeing how Japan gets down is sick. I know there’s a special flea that’s by the coast in Japan they showcase old motorcycles & Americana stuff like that

Thanks! I use a Contax G2. One of the best film cameras in my humble opinion. Kodak Portra 400 is always a great film stock too 🎞🥸👌🏽

Does anyone know if I brought American vintage clothing to Japan while on vacation, would a thrift shop purchase or barter with me? I’ve been selling vintage for 20 years now, mostly clothing & decor. I think it would be a fun way to exchange and get some Japanese vintage and maybe the shop owner could get some hard to find American vintage.
Hi! Haven't tried it myself, but there are a few vintage shops like New York Joe in Shimokitazawa and Kinji where I do see Japanese people bringing in their clothes to sell. I would say reach out first and ask them online, but i definitely believe there is a market for it!

Just curious but do you both speak Japanese? And did you see/hear anyone haggling at the flea market? I feel it may be impolite to do so due to their culture. Looking forward to more of your Japan vids!
We can speak basic Japanese. Haggling is actually okay sometimes but in our experience, the older Japanese do not like it. The younger Japanese will even show you their calculator so you can understand the price. Haggling is also more successful towards the end of the day. Thanks so much for watching!
