You could feasibly showcase urban legends, rumors, and falsehoods that have lurked around the Monster Rancher series. What ones were true, what ones were false, and what ones were merely a misunderstanding of something that was legitimate yet incorrectly described.
@@Moosebones Well yeah, I notice that you tend to include the urban legends in tandem with the monster they relate to and Metalner covered a few more ;p
I know that the odds of both 59% and a 69% hitting on "frame 1" isn't too far off from getting hit by golem cyclone, but for some reason, it just seems like Arrowhead always hits it. I've become one of the people who shave some points off power and skill to survive stuff like this in 3500.
Its also compartmentalized into smaller pieces, usually you can only use them back to back if one actually hits so its like if cyclone had 2 rolls to do 50% of its normal damage at a higher hit rate
Even if the theming isnt super obvious I try to pick musical choices that work on more than just a literal aural level. The gap in viability between Q in 3s and G at his best in sfv was that inspiration.
It's an incredibly small but dedicated scene. I too didn't realize people were still playing this game until the remakes came out and I stumbled on Moosebones' original MR2 tier list. Shame too because watching it has a tension and feel that other competitive games don't really have. The fact that the AI is in control and everything's probability based just adds to the excitement imo.
Are there any mods for this game yet? Like a randomizer? I bought it for switch but I’m thinking I’d rather play it on steam. I used to play it on an emulator with the advanced viewer and that thing was awesome
Advance viewer works on dx and people are currently working on mods. Theres a functioning mod to re-add skipping drills into it and i think theres a randomizer in the works
It is a pity they did not made the sub race have something else like here, imagine if all sub had a different attack to it, or changing some of the values, making stronger, or accurate or less expensive. But we only got lifespan and guts regen.

@@Moosebones Yeah, my brain definitely filters out all the times the first tech misses. I basically just see a 70% hit and say "wow, accurate combo".
