great video!!!!! first video i saw on youtube covering the important basics. sadly my impulse 61 gave up (kinda) exactly 2 days after warranty. some keys suddenly stopped working. if i hit them hard, or gently slap the bottom of it, it will work again. but they give up mid project. same for the drum pads. when i first got it, they were perfect. now 5 of them are unresponsive sometimes or send the wrong signal strenght. its weird and sad, since it does such an excellent job as a controller.
Damn that is sad, it’s a beast of a maschine. I haven’t seen anyone repairing them but I had my fader stop working and cleaned it with air and computer safe solvent and now it works like new
@@FrenchtownMedia i probably try to open the case and see if its just dust. but gotta borrow an air compressor first. fingers crossed that fixes it. i could never go back to another controller.
I've refurbished a 25 key and a 61 key Impulse, down to stripping the grease and reapplying new. There are a few disassembly vids out there but the only tricky part is removing the keys; use the top slot and press the release tabs... Dont just pop them out like some others do. Finally, don't be afraid to email Scarlett/Novation/Focusrite and ask about replacement parts. They sent me two sensor sheets for my Launchpad at no charge, just because I asked. ♥
Just brought an impulse 25 today and its so fun! thanks for the video!
nice! it really has everything... pretty comparable to a push 2 which is crazy!

@The_Eldest_Millenial I haven’t thought about that. I’m gonna reach out to them about my fader
