He's good but sorry his Nessun Dorma sounded flat and not powerful enough, he is Popera not Opera and a 2nd rate Bocelli at that. Try out Jonathan Antoine for a former BGT contestant with a better voice for "Opera" although I think even he would struggle to make the grade trying to audition for a major role at The Met or La Scala.
I'm an opera singer and I'm fascinated by Innocent. He's a very good, close to a perfect lyrical tenor. He reminds me of a young Di Stefano. This young man would wipe the floor with the modern Metropolitan singers. It's not even close.
The Italians should be proud! They have the best food and music! He honored their culture quite well. If you gonna sing a song of culture; make it magnificent! And he did! 👏🏾👏🏾

INNOCENT is the BEST on the show hands down! I felt heartbroken he did not win the competition. However he is greater than that and belongs in the finest opera houses AND ALL the stages in the world. He makes opera accessible to everyone. I went from being impartial at best, to listening to him on repeat, many many repeats. I would watch him in concert or opera ANY day of the week.
He may not have won Britain's Got Talent, but he is a winner in EVERY respect!! Many many doors will open for this beautiful gifted man!! You are loved by many!!❤❤❤❤
Sometimes it can be better to not win. If he had won he would have to sit in Simon Cowell's pocket for the next 10 years or so and do whatever he thinks would give him (Simon) the biggest financial profit. Coming second means that very few (if any) of those restriction apply to Innocent and he will have much more freedom to to do whatever he himself wants to do.

Meanwhile, hoping that this gets released on streaming platforms, as Innocent was just breathtaking.

Disagree. CTHD deserved it. In fact! It should have won best Picture which it lost to Gladiator.. Best Director which it lost to Traffic, and best costume which it lost to Gladiator. It was an odd year for the Oscars. Gladiator wasn’t undeserving, I’m not upset by it. But CTHD is the superior film

It's lovely to read intelligent comments here, knowing the origins of this song etc. From the moment Hans Zimmer picked up a pen and called Lisa Gerrard (I think that was her name) to ask to sing this, one of, or the most beautiful movie pieces of all time was created. Talent all round. I wish tis guy had longer to sing. He could have started the song in the quiet moments, and built to this climax that leaves is in tears....but he his every note perfectly. He knows how to sing. He doesn't let us hear his breathing which is excellent. Some of the artist who were awarded for their songs yet you hear them breath so badly, to me should never win an award. I have played Innocent Makusu's Gladiator over and over. Each time I got chills, I cried tears. He is truly a gift. A Star is born. Disagree. CTHD deserved it. In fact! It should have won best Picture which it lost to Gladiator.. Best Director which it lost to Traffic, and best costume which it lost to Gladiator. It was an odd year for the Oscars. Gladiator wasn’t undeserving, I’m not upset by it. But CTHD is the superior film

I love this guy. He sings with very little effort. He is in the same league as some of the big opera greats such as Pavarotti, Mario Lanza, Andrea Botecelli etc etc. I hope he wins. Xxxxxxx

It's lovely to read intelligent comments here, knowing the origins of this song etc. From the moment Hans Zimmer picked up a pen and called Lisa Gerrard (I think that was her name) to ask to sing this, one of, or the most beautiful movie pieces of all time was created.
Talent all round. I wish tis guy had longer to sing. He could have started the song in the quiet moments, and built to this climax that leaves is in tears....but he his every note perfectly. Well done to him

Agree, with you, but I am thinking the judges are so enraptured by his voice, they are both relishing and concentrating on every note, thus no true mental break to hit it.

He knows how to sing. He doesn't let us hear his breathing which is excellent. Some of the artist who were awarded for their songs yet you hear them breath so badly, to me should never win an award. They need to hear this man and learn how it should be done. Innocent you're the winner as far as I'm concerned
I have played Innocent Makusu's Gladiator over and over. Each time I got chills, I cried tears. He is truly a gift. A Star is born. I am just so excited for BGT final to hear what his next masterpiece will be . For me, innocent is my winner. I love his control and how humbly he comes across. Well done, Innocent ❤
