For me it was extremely close between him and Sydnie Christmas, I would have chosen Innocent to be fair but that Performance from Sydnie was other worldly that right there and then I knew she'd win. The final this year I think was just fantastic where I would have been fine with the results regardless

I don't know who did it, but Innocent was robbed of his DESERVED win! None of the other finalists even came close to his sensational performance and I mean ALL his renditions for the entire BGT 2024! Mesmerizing! Tear-jerkers all of them! Amazing talent! I agree, he should have saved the Hans Zimmer song for the Final - best for last. Shame, the judges ought to have given him a golden buzzer too. But his light can not be denied, it now shines for the whole world to witness and gobble it up! Watch this space.......🎉

it didn't moved me as pavarotti do. the voice is thin in comparison. so from fullest pavarotti>bocelli>innocent. i think he'll fit well in chinese opera. and yes he sings hundred times better than me.
champion sydnie isn't among the most skillful as well. but she is the one for the stage. the emotional and power in the voice, facial and body movement and expression, it moved me a lot.

As someone who is studying opera I love his choice of what songs to do. It is almost like he knew he was getting to the final. Nessun Dorma is like the biggest aria ever and is like the staple song of Puccini's opera Turandot. I also love how this guy is a legitimate opera singer and not someone singing high and putting on a low voice, unlike others that have done got talent shows
Also edit: the video doesn't give him justice, opera singers dont normally use mics and recording it is extrenely dofficult. I garauntee in the middle of the song with the high C and and the end with the high D the mic guy turned his mic down making it seem less powerful. If you love this you should go and see a full opera then you can experience the true power with your own ears

If the fellow has not won the competition then the person to be blamed is Innocent Masuku himself. That kind of pristine, glorious talent is not meant for popular TV shows. He was simply in the wrong place. Classical music was never for the masses. May sound elitist and aristocratic, but I dont care to be politically correct in these matters.

Not really an opera fan, but will listen to Innocent any day of the week, every time I hear him sing, hair stands up on the back of my neck, goose bumps, tears, he's a truly gifted man and tops it off with an amazing personality.

Bocelli's version was miles better then this version which to be honest is only slightly better then Paul Potts yet even Bocelli's version is nowhere near the best.

He is my absolute favourite tenor since I first heard him sing. I may be wrong, but I cannot imagine any other tenor currently with a better voice. Incredible. I also felt I am in the presence of greatness.

@@marieslabbert6009 See, you've been listening and I've been singing...it is easy to come up with a list of young and ambitious tenors who are on another level, and yet go unnoticed by the general public. But we're talking the real world of opera and opera singing. Huge difference to casting shows.

I know f'all about opera, but that performance was so different to many I've seen singing that song. There was a sereneness a stillness when he sang. It was effortless. He wasn't just saying words. I'm pretty sure he's good.....he didn't hurt my ears like some do.
