Mikheil Saakashvili: Exclusive interview from prison hospital

Mikheil Saakashvili was the third president of Georgia and he brought with him the hope for a prosperous future for the country. For little more than that, Vladimir Putin considers him his arch enemy. The current government in Georgia seeks to pursue a pro-Russian political course which left little space for Saakashvili to exist in the political sphere, so he was imprisoned. His health has significantly deteriorated since imprisonment, however, he seems to be improving. TV Rain's Ekaterina Kotrikadze was able to pass her questions to him to which he responded in written form. We voiced the interview to bring Saakashvili's thoughts to a wide audience.
