Sergey Lavrov's stepdaughter Polina Kovaleva lives in Kensington in a modest flat worth £4.4 million GBP. Why does the US, UK and EU allow this to happen?

The people of Russia will rise up one day like they did in the past against it's state oppressors and it's people may enjoy to live in a free world. (Or at least, a little less dominated by the likes.
I find it interesting that, although they are all supporting Putin one way or another, they do it by arguing. To a non-sophisticated viewer it must seem like there is some pro-West, pro-Ukraine point being made somewhere in all the name calling and accusations. Add in a constant stream of negative imagery and disparaging commentary about the West and it all passes as some sort of free discussion of important points. With today's technology Russia has taken propaganda far beyond where Hitler ever dreamed.
Russia has learned from the U.S.. I still remember my disappointment from 1999, when I turned on NPR, hoping to hear a debate about the morality of NATO's unprovoked war against Yugoslavia, only to find a debate over whether to have a "land war" or an "air war". For NPR, discussing the morality of war or any other moral issue was simply unthinkable. That is yet another reason why I am now a fan of Russia.

At the same time, she's not a very convincing actress. In a clip of 60 minutes from when Sevastopol was bombed, she tried to sound dismissive of that submarine being destroyed in dry dock. But she looked visibly nervous and despondent while doing it.

Simonyan, Solovyov, Skabeyeva, it feels like I have come to know them well. I am just waiting form them to get to know the Hague warcrimes tribunal well. Meanwhile I will shake my head at Simonyan's drunken rants, Skabeyeva down-talking Cardiff (what does she have against Cardiff? Cardiff is the nicest town), and Solovyov crying over his Italian mansions he will never see again. When he sits in a prison cell he will read about their sale and the money going to rebuild Ukraine.
Russian media Monitor has been a blessing in this war. The A team includes her, Solovyov, Marden? and Margrita Simonyan? of RT. Others have directly threatened the West on her show, but she has not.
Having returned from North Korea and realising that the world of the Russian Elite is rapidly shrinking, and that dependency on regimes like this and Iran is not beneficial long term.
