There are a few things that weren't mentioned in this video. 1, you need to loosen the wheel nuts before jacking the car. If you don't do this then your wheel will spin when you try to loosen it. 2, Wheen you tighten up the wheel nuts you are meant to do the one opposite from the side you started on. In this scenario if you started on the top wheel nut you would then do bottom right, then middle left, then middle right and then the lower left. It is harder to work out the opposite nut when it is a 5 stud alloy.
What can we do if we forgot to do so. I havent loosen the nuts at the beginning and now 4 is removed but the last one is sliding. How can I remote it? Thanks
What this video did not show, but appears to have been done off camera, is that before jacking up the car you should break the tension of the wheel nut. i.e. Just undo all the nuts half a turn before raising the car up on the jack. If you need to apply a large amount of force to break the tension after the car has been jacked, you rick toppling the jack.
The wheel brace wont fit the nuts on a focus after time, common prob-use a hammer and strong screwdriver to remove caps from nut, every one, then buy a decent 18mm socket and wrench incase u need to change a tyre.
