  • Hi Folks today we are taking a look at Tyredox Tyre Savers. I saw these at Feb 2022 NEC Show and was impressed with the Demo. Tyres are costly so if these Tyredox and prolong their life they could be a wise investment.
Here is a link to Tyredox's website. Thanks Phil

They look a lot better than the milenco ones BUT £120 for 2 is far too expensive,if they where half that price i would go and buy some today, thanks phil

Hi. Yes they are expensive. But if you store your Van for long periods or on a seasonal pitch they will save your tyres. Van tyres are not cheap. The last pair I had fitted were £90 each. Just a thought. Thanks Phil👍

Thanks Phill, this is something I’ve never really thought about purchasing looks good though

Hi I think they are great for seasonal pitches as well. They are not cheap but will last longer than the cheap plastic ones. Thanks Phil🙂👍

£143.99 for a set of 2!!!! OMG! I bet you're glad you got them free.

Hi Yes they are not cheap but they are very well made and will last a lot longer than the cheap plastic ones. Despite getting them free of charge I would still buy them. When reviewing items I choose very carefully. Rubbish items don't appear on here. As I don't wish to waste Folks time or money. If you have a seasonal pitch they work out very cheap. Thanks Phil.👍🙂

I liked your review Phil and got to say that I agree with you. I have a set for my Campervan and they are fantastic. Great quality , very easy to use and will probably last a lifetime. Sure they are not the cheapest on the market but it is all relative, isn't it ?!

Hi Mark. Thanks for watching. Yes when you take into consideration the price increases in New Tyres these days. They are worth the money. Thanks again Phil👍🙂

Hi Phil . Timely that you should post this today as I’m off to the storage this am to rotate my tyres ! Bit of a faff jacking up and turning wheels but worth it to save tyres
These tyre savers look good - but pricy
    Thanks for vlog as ever
    Regards
    Howard

Hi Howard. It is a pain turning the wheels. Tyredox are not cheap but they are made in the UK so the overheads are greater. When you consider the increasing prices of tyres they would pay for themselves over time. Thanks for watching Phil👍🙂

    Hi Phil,
Like the idea of the product but as the c'van is stored snug to the side of the house they're going to be tricky to use - even with the MotorMover 😕

Hi Martin. They suit storage yards or more open spaces. Have to say they are very well made. Thanks for watching. Phil👍🙂

Look far better than the plastic versions that slide around , I wonder if you can leave the handbrake off I know some people do.

Hello. You can leave the brake off. To be honest I never leave the brake on while in storage. I tend to chock the wheels. Thanks Phil👍🙂

Jury’s out for me in this one Phil. I have been using Milenco ones for a few years now as our drive is gravel. Same problem still exists. There is still a single point where the weight sits and getting the wheel lock on to align can be a pain. I only use mine as the gravel sticks into the tyres and therefore I am stopping that from happening. It’s great to see they are UK made etc, but the cost seems more aimed at the supercar market. I am sure there are a few rats out there who will loves these…😂

Hi Iain. I thought the same as you. My Storage space is gravel and Pavers. I try to choose Products carefully. I hoped this would appeal but like many others the Price is the stumbling block. It is a great product and works well. I will speak to the Company re the price but like you say it might be best left to the Super car Folk. Many thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Phil👍🙂

They do look a great idea and seem to be better than the plastic ones, but like some of your other subscribers have said they are quite expensive, cheers Phil for your video ,👍👍

Hi BB. Yes they are not cheap but I have to say I have not seen anything in between in terms of quality or price. These are made in England so the production costs are higher than say something made in China or India. Thanks for watching. Phil🙂👍

Hi Phil, Probably a good product for those who caravan less frequently, meaning tyres don’t have to be rotated 👍. Was it a faff getting the wheel lock in the exact position ? Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob, Yes the idea is for less use or seasonal pitches. I found it easy to match up the tyredox and the wheel lock. Thanks for watching. Phil🙂👍

As good as they might look and be, the tyre will still be prone to having a flat spot even though it’s a curved surface the weight of the van is still going to settle in the same place so sadly it not something I would waste my money on.

Hi Jim Thanks for watching. The Products we look at are for everyone. We just show whats out there that we feel is worth sharing. We have reduced the Product Reviews this year as there is little out there. Thanks again Phil👍🙂

Agreed. Cannot see what the big benefit would be to using these as opposed to leaving the wheels on hard standing.

I am a sucker for buying things for the caravan or for hobbies. I use rubber mats when we pitch up that stops the stones getting stuck in the tread. As for these well like Fester Adms has already said £120 is way to much. I have caravanned for over 30 years and never had a flat or out of shape tyre also I don’t know anyone who has and with the new rule that caravan tyres need to be changed every 5 years I feel these are even less important. When you fitted the wheel lock it looked like you needed to move your caravan back further so the tyre was not sat filly in the grove. I apologise if i got that wrong but it is how kt looked to me.
love the videos but for me this one is a no
    take care and safe driving
    James

Hi James. They are not cheap at all but better than the plastic ones. For me they are a handy thing as my storage space is a mixture of flat paving slabs and gravel. You are quite right I did have to move it over a little more. Once I stopped recording I re set the wheels. I had issues with the mover that day and ended taking my battery home to charge. This was recorded over 2 days. The products I show are what I think/hope folk would be interested in. I can't get it right all the time.😔 many Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Phil👍🙂

Extreme heat and UV rays are the biggest cause of most sedentary tyre cracking… maybe use what’s left of your holiday factor 50 sun cream on them? 😂
