My wife actually ruled out the Born due to the loud blinker sound. However the dealer claims that on cars produced from week 3 2022 the sound scheme will be changed to the same volume level as in the ID3. Fingers crossed. Thanks for the video!

Would be great news, if Cupra can change this.

Kinda strange that it's not adjustable. Our Renault Zoe 2020 model has the option to adjust the volume in 3 different levels.

@@tkskater1 its probably possible to change with vags own software. On my old car I could enable features with VAG-COM that the car officially does not have, but are just disabled in software. Like the meters on the dashboards moves up to full and back when you start (like on Lamborghinis :D

For cars made before 2022, will it be possible this is fixed during an update or those people are stuck with ridiculous loud blinker?

@@4lpina Not sure. One dealer mentioned that they will be able to update their demo cars. But I would like to see it before I believe it :) I'll soon be calling them again as it should be released around now.

For me the lack of matrix lights is the main reason not to like the el born. Better number but fixed leds not good , also I wish vw group would stop using these haptictouch buttons , a proper button or switch or dual will always be superior

Basically, I think it's good that the VW Group has implemented a different design language with the Cupra, which appeals to new buyers. When it comes to the interior, I have the impression that design students were at work here. Fundamental comfort requirements were not considered there.

I’m so looking forward to the Born being released here in Australia later this year. I was hoping to buy an ID.3 here but it looks like the ID.3 won’t happen here until 2023 at least. Perhaps it’s VW Australia’s way of testing the water. Either way, I much prefer the look of the Born. Cupra already has a number of Borns here for testing. I can’t wait to drive one.

And there are 2 other videos where I prefer the Id.3! It is just my opinion, does not have to be yours.
      Id.3 fits my needs.
Born has a few advantages but the loud blinker sound is a "no" go for me.
If they fix that, it is a tie. Born looks better though!

My personel opinion: I don´t like aggressive designs. Exspecially whren the car goes only 160 or 170.
Roof in car colour ist fine.
Bigger screen for the infitainment ist fine.
Armrest not related to the seats - bullsh.t. My legs are not very long, so with that kind of armrest, I don´t have any armrest.
Buttons for the lights closer to the driver - fine.
Conclusion: I´m OK with my ID.3.

The car looks cool but overall VW tech does not impress me. This week I tested Volvo XC40 4x4, 300kW. This is the only other car (except for Tesla) where when I get out of the car, I did not have to ask whether I want it or not. It's a joy to drive it. But weight/aerodynamics/efficiency/range is disappointing. If Megane e-tech will not have a good efficiency, I will not test any other car and go for my favorite, Tesla 3. Hope German lobbyist will finally surrender and Tesla will be allowed to start production here.

    • @vitavacek3483
      @vitavacek3483 2 года назад +1

@@evboy4287 Unfortunately, it will start with just Y. Most probably no M3 in 2022. But I want to wait for first review of a car with 4680s (most probably first one will be from Austin) and see if it is a revolution or just an evolution. In the first case I will buy M3 with 4680 from whatever location. If reviews of Y from Berlin will be exceptionally good, I can imagine to go for that even though I don't need SUV.
