Hello, there isn't a set time as such, you just need to keep a eye on the condition of the rubber itself, it needs to be supple and not dry or cracked, and if it’s gone shiny it may needs buffing up or at that point replacing. Wire wool or a scratch pad can be used for cleaning and making sure it is gripping the blade itself which is important for tracking purposes. Best Wishes, Record Power.
