If we do our part and get a lot of these slinging dirt then the aftermarket will follow. It's hard for them to go all in on a low volume niche vehicle.

There you have it - @10:40 can't get a better confirmation then that - the 2-piece chassis is not going to be an issue in my personal opinion.

Leave the corner on the track. It makes it a nice, technical double apex corner leading to the straights that will separate the good drivers from the blah.

I was really scared when the first thing you said was about the 2 piece chassis. I'm glad it was just a diff. Can't wait for mine to be delivered. I had planned to put a big motor and Max 5 in mine and to transplant those electronics into one of my 1/7 Arrma's. I'm impressed that i might not have to replace the ESC.

I really do like this truck
I bought one and yes the motor mount should have been better so you can add bigger pinions on it, but So far I'm loving the way it handles and it's very easy to work on!!
With all that added weight in the rear from the big block the back for sure needs that brace also
yep. I don't think this motor add a whole bunch with the removal of the stock motor, it added some yeah but not anywhere near the bigger 56113 size motors
@@ExocagedRC True but it adds a good amount..Rear brace should help n all..Are the diffs sintered? If so i hope a hardened version comes out soon
That's a monster! May need to figure out a 3d print gear cover to make sure no rocks get into it, but that was a massive jump!!

You're going to need to get your pilot's license if you keep it up. I would lean towards the chipped teeth being a fluke, as I don't think you could have hit the ground flatter than you did. Really impressed it took that hard of a hit.
Awesome video brother. Did the same thing to my squid rc dual motor mount and channeled a little spot for the bit to be able to fit

I"m not sure i quite get how the hard flat landing is what particularly chipped the rear ring and pinion.... maybe if you landed solely on the rear end first? But it was completely flat and about stationary -- so stress into the suspension and chasiss yes but not sure i see how the drivetrain took that much stress in that moment? Is it possible all the wheelies and hard acceleration might have contributed to weakening? My sense is maybe you're gonna need more than just 1 replacement lol. Hope its a quick swap ;) Awesoome vid as always!!!!

They looked like monky metal gears like the xmaxx has an breaks easy in my experience. Some good harden steel machined gears will fix that if someone maks them. I would still like to try this truck when i find one used for cheap. Lol i have a leapord 1340kv 5692 that fit in tyere perfectly. An keep the stock gear possibly. Where did you get the front upper hinge pin holder brace if you don’t mind me asking?
It’s a redcat… you might as well buy stock in those front and rear diffs. The shredder did the same thing every time it was driven. I hate that they still use the cheap stuff to make those ring and pinions out of! I want one so bad but after dealing with replacing the diff, every time I drove that shredder it has me scared to get one
I'm thinking about getting the 5690 and Max 5 G2 for my Xmaxx. It already has the original max 5 and 5687. I'm wondering if it'll be worth it.
Hey what size lugs fit this truck because I thought my truck had 24mm hex , but I bought some 24mm lugs nuts for wheels and they are too big?

DONT take this wrong ..... im no rocket scientist but i say if you have to cut and remove stuff to fit a much bigger motor you are overpowering it. its like taking a miata motor out and dropping in a ls . of course its gonna break and continue breaking as you fix because it was never made to handle that kind of power . thats my opinion and like a ass we all have one . lol
They do it to xxmaxx too it won’t take the bigger motors without hardened gears ⚙️ or drive considerably the xxmaxx is good with just a max 6 but velionion… motors are really good imo
This is lot more stable getting power to ground so breaking going be easier it’s same with my Mojave with the big block breaking is inevitable 😂

One 30ft jump and you broke some gears. I've jumped my Xmaxx dozens of times at that height and never broken anything unless I don't land on the wheels. I've only bent the center driveshaft on my Xmaxx by nose diving it.
So for the price this truck definitely has value going for and it comes with an awesome esc and motor setup, plus those wheels are awesome. It definitely has potential though. But those gears need to be improved.

Disappointing. On that surface with a good landing like that, it shouldn’t strip. It’s going to strip again if you keep jumping unless there’s an upgrade available. I hope so, because it drives and flies great.
Why it seem like arrma the only one that doesn't limit the hell out of you on what you can fit inside of their rigs. =(

Please explain, I can fit 112mm long motors and pinions as big as I could want in my arrma 8s rigs. Even 12s is no problem and fits just fine with zero parts needed. You already know all of this though so I'm a bit confused as to why you would say such a thing.

A bigger motor at same kv will have less heat and be more efficient.
We will always over power stuff. Just use that area to your advantage and power it up.

Shoulda got a higher kV motor.
You aren’t familiar with the 56mm motors. That’s one of the highest kv available right now. Only the leopard is slightly higher.

I feel that this is one of red cats, stronger, electric rigs, but in the way of aftermarket options, I feel like a lot of people will be trying to trade or sell it within a couple of months of buying it. There’s just not much on the market in the way of red cat, but only time will tell. Unfortunately, cat has created a bad name for itself and a lot of the customers look to other manufacturers in the way of their hobbies there’s just too many skeptical people that feel red cat is just not up to par, especially at over $800, when amateurs like us do nose dies because we lack experience or knowledge or whatever the case, maybe is the rig actually going to hold up I think it will for a little while, but I feel there will be more catastrophic failures than with the bigger companies rigs
