@@professormemsclass i shoot in a semi-indoor-range with wooden walls and it does apear to absorb some of the noise but it reflects some sound kinda like a middle ground to the indoor fireing Sounds but thats probably because of the added ceiling and back wall. so it Sounds like a quarter indoors from the trench. i would say and the Trench more or less absorbs the Sound because of the dirt and mud
The level of detail put into Battlefield 1 and even Battlefield V is genuinely insane. Stuff you would never notice during a regular match, yet they still added them. My favorite detail is being able to hear the sound of rain hitting the used artillery shells in certain maps. Does 2042 have any interesting details? I've never noticed any in that game other than the neat M44 reload.
To be honest, I haven't looked into it much, it might be worth examining one day, but that game usually seems more concerned with gameplay directly and less with aesthetic factors.
It is incredible this applies not only to gunshots, but for screams and grenade explosions too, combined with how dirty the viewmodel gets depending of the map and the different sound effects like for example the palpitations surviving an almost deadly shot, the ear ring after hearing a near explosion and the hard exhale after getting revived makes a really cinematic and immersive experience all around
I'd have to agree. The completeness of it's aesthetic is something I haven't really seen in any other Battlefield, even BFV despite how closely related they are.
Me and a friend have probably spent more than a few hours just walking around empty servers, making some nice screenshots on the way. The atmosphere is on point everytime. Also makes for some great wallpapers
BF1 just has one of the best Sound Designs ever. So much Detail has gone into that. When you fire a round and the empty shell falls to the ground, it makes a different sound depending on the ground the shell falls to. I like the small "plopp" the most when the shell falls into water or a puddle.
I love the detail of being able to hear an echo half a second later when you're outdoors. That's honestly not something I'd ever noticed during normal gameplay, just too many other sounds going on I guess
I feel the same way, which is why I was kind of annoyed with myself in editing for moving on too quickly while I was recording sometimes, rather than letting the echo play to completion haha.
Hey here’s an idea do a video on BF1’s Lmgs personally my favorite weaponry type in the game (Yes that also includes the MG08 the elite sentry gets as the Deutsche Heer did built it as a Lmg though a really fat one at that)
Could you please make Call of Duty Mobile tier lists? I know that your focus is realism, but it would be so much useful and fun to see a professional-level FPS gaming teacher talk about a game with so much content that can be explored; a lot more than just weapons and atachments. Thanks for reading my comment! I listen to every piece of information that you say, because you're someone with much more experience and knowledge than me! And your opinion is very strong! (Sorry for my english, i'm brazilian :P )
No worries, and I'm glad to hear you enjoy the content. If there are a lot of weapons to explore in CoD Mobie I'm sure it would be ripe for a video, but the thing is that since I've never played it I don't really have an angle to approach it from unfortunately. I wish I could fulfill all of my fans' requests, but there are some games that just wouldn't really work for me.
@@professormemsclass You could probably cover things zeroing, reticles, and how gun optics have evolved in both real life and games (for instance, dual rendered scopes). Just a suggestion
@@lappol1 I didn't mean diopter, I meant how in older games, a telescopic sights would block out your whole screen expect the view on target, but newer ones let you retain some peripheral view
BF1's sound design is genuinely incredible for the most part, and its always nice to see it get it's dues
I do recognize the slightly muffled sound that is in the trenches, but I never realised that it was because of the trenches walls being wood.
Ah, is that why it sounds that way? Interesting, I don't know much about real-world acoustics.

What i always loved is the placebo effect on me when indoors in bf1
Just the louder sound made me more confident and thus agressive

There’s also the really open maps where you can hear gunshots bounce off of the mountain sides and crackle a little
I’ll wait patiently for my BF1 support tierlist. I’m in no rush.
Battlefield 1 has the most detailed audio profile ever in a video game
BF1 has the best atmosphere of any battlefield game. That doesn't just the sounds, but other things like backdrops, map design, weather and so on.

OK hear me out.Reaload animation tier list
That just might be a pretty good idea
@@professormemsclassPLEASE. I love your video on dynamic reloads and would love to hear your thoughts on individual animations.

Agreed, it’s kinda goofy sounding but not out of place.
What an interesting video, looking forward to the next bf1 tier list, keep up the great work
Thanks!
BF1 has to be the game with the greatest sound design ever, it all sounds so damm good
The amount of detail that went into this game is phenomenal. This will always be my favorite battlefield.
Going to fall asleep to this and wake up with memories of the war
never noticed the different sounds more than indoors rooms vs open field
also the fact you can hear the sonic boom is amazing too
The sounds were freaking incredible!
This is my autism there are many like it but this one is mine

monte grappa carries it into 5 seconds i think
Nice ping and tickrate warnings lol
Great Video
Thanks!
I was about to ask my veteran grandpa about the selbslader 1916 but he didn't make it to the end of the video

This game is just so good, I'm gonna storm Dice headquarters like it's Normandy if they shut down the servers.
You working on the support gun tier list for battlefield 1?
Yeah, I believe I said in the intro/description
I wanted to know if you were interested in making a video on sights (telescopic, iron, red dot etc) for guns, and how they differ compared to reality.
That’s actually a very solid idea!

funny to see people always complain about diopters in bf1 when in real life they're so much superior to notch sights

You should play the bf1 campain
Can you make a battlefield one skins tier list
