I’ve really only gotten into bourbon and whiskey in the last couple years. Love the single malt (it’s a travel exclusive at 1L right now I think) as a daily sipper. The SBBP is absolutely fantastic for the price point. Have a 10 and 12 that I’m waiting to pop open for a special occasion.
I got JD 10 Year batch 2 last year for $89.99. Just picked up JD 12 Year batch 2 Yesterday for $119.99. Hoping to get JD 10 Year batch 3 for around MSRP this year. 🥃
I've liked the Single Barrel Barrel Proof , Just walked in to my local store last week and a 10YR was just sitting on the shelf , MSRP , (they do this occasionally , un announced, un advertised) naturally I opened it ,and WOW
As far as favorite, the Heritage TB Rye is unbelievable! The 10yr and 12yr are tops for me as well (never had CH 😢). Readily available the SBBP, sour mash and BIB Rye are fantastic.
Was introduced to allocated Jack via a friend who shared 2020 special release rye. Ive been Hooked ever since, and now a happy owner of 3 jd 12 yrs, 2 Jd 10 yrs, and 2 twice barreled special release ryes. Amazing brand with fantastic allocated offerings.
Jack Daniels Heroes Selection Barrel Proof. As a 30 year Navy Vet, I appreciate the fact that Jack Daniels will put this out at the exchange. I’ve never been able to get their Limited Edition stuff but I love their barrel proof and truly appreciate that they provide high quality picks to the military.
I got the last 2 12 year and saw the 10 year sitting there. Should have grabbed one too. Now it's all gone. The 12 year is unreal. I sleep with both bottles under my pillow.
I love the content. Had a great time at your event in Lawrenceburg Indiana. The VIP tasting was phenomenal. (I was sitting next to the guy that talked alot) Born and raised here in Lawrenceburg. My grandpa put in 45 years at Seagram's.
I really like Jack’s Triple Mash. It’s delicious neat but also makes great cocktails and goes really well with Dr Pepper. It’s available, reasonably priced, and versatile.
I like the standard barrel proof releases from them. Haven't been able to try any of the twice barreled stuff or single malt. I do like Triple Malt quite a bit. I wish stores near me were not trying to peddle the 10 and 12 for 299 or 399 respectively. They have been sitting since the "allocated" drops in November near me. Very few stores sell them at reasonable prices, I haven't been lucky enough to come across those ones yet.
JD 12 Batch 1 was fantastic and quite possibly one of my all time favorites. I often find myself craving it like nothing else in my collection. I have a Batch 2 at home that I haven't gotten into yet. I love the JD 10 Batch 2 but not as much. I also have a Batch 3 at home still to be opened.
My favorite is the jack Daniels coy hill then the single barrel barrel proof ryes..then single barrel barrel proofs.....I'm not into the 10yr or the 12yr and not into Old num 7......😁😁 Love the channel 😁😁 cheers🥃
You don't see knob creek 12 year sitting on the secondary market for $300-400. There's no reason why Jack Daniels can't do whatever knob creek is doing.
I love the unique banana profile in Jack Daniels bourbons. Haven’t tried the 10 or 12 years but really happy with their bonded and barrel proofs that are more recently available
Haven’t seen the 10 or 12 yr old in Iowa. I really liked the 2019 Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye. Haven’t seen the ‘23 version. We always have the Single Barrel Select and Barrel Proof Whiskies on the shelf.
Thank you for the history leading up to these releases! Also thank you for justifying what will be my future purchases as I come across these bottles at a reasonable price!
I used to drive up to Jack Daniels when I lived in Atlanta and I got the first couple batches of rye aged and unaged and hopefully they'll only go up in value cuz I tasted a few of them and they were great
I've not had the JD 10 but I recently had JD 12 which everyone says is better and certainly costs even more. I was at a bar with a group to taste Davidson Reserve TN sour mash whiskey for which I had no expectations. I ordered the JD 12 before things got going and while it was good it didn't blow me away and I certainly didn't think it was nearly as good as some of the JD BP bottles I've had. Then they started pouring the Davidson Reserve and it blew the JD 12 away!
After trying the JD BiB and BiB Rye I am really looking forward to coming across the JD10 or 12... I won't but it's nice to hope. Or even a SiBBP Rye. JD Rye BiB is the best rye I've ever had hands down. If JD keeps at this we're going to get some insane heights of bourbon.
I prefer the history part of your videos in fact if it was longer I'd be ok with that. I have the SBBP rye still haven't opened it yet have plans on getting the whiskey and doing a blind. I'm not really a JD drinker even when I was young I actually liked George Dickle over JD. That was a very long time ago and as I've aged I have drank many other bourbons and whiskies but just in the last few years has JD upped their game. So giving them a shot.
Fred, where is that JD hazmat bourye you teased us with? Am I the only person who saw that?? Btw, whatever you've done with the camera looks much better.
Bought several bottles of 12 year (with lots of hard searching and cash negotiations, mind you) for $175-200 each. It's probably my favorite whiskey 🥃.
My favorite so far has been the SBBP rye. I also enjoy the triple mash for its affordability. I saw a bottle of the JD 12 in phoenix going for $500 last week and had to pass
Jack Daniel’s Special Release SBBP Rye (2020) is the best Jack Daniel’s product, and best Rye I’ve ever had. New JDBP Rye drinks too hot IMO, especially if you were expecting something similar to the 2020 release.
The 2020 Heritage rye and the new barrel proof Rye that came out last year really blew me away. It's amazing to me that I think JD ryes are better then their bourbon... even though their bourbons are amazing.
Fred, what is your favorite whiskey? (I mean best of your life time) Lately I have developing kind of confusion. So many great whiskeys (bourbon, rye, single malt, blended) available for purchase, but for my pallet some good, some so-so, some great, some amazing. I understand that impossible to try all of them, and kind of stopped to purchase new releases, new small distilleries, new blenders, etc. Currently I'm target only known large distilleries, otherwise I'm already get lost on current market. Your channel and other whiskeys review channels help me to pick good bottles. Mostly my may nose and pallet agreed with reviews.
Really sucks that Brown-Forman is shortsighted and sold the Jack Daniel Cooperage. The Heritage Barrel Strength Rye probably. Wish the 10 year was a shelfer.
Finally found a bottle in a store. They charged $195. I bought it because I'm an idiot. Haven't opened it yet but expect to be mad that I overpaid - again. 😳
So I just picked up the 12year st retail and it was $100 at a store here in Florida. How is the 10year more? And don’t apologize for doing dad stuff. I am also a dad and a majority of the time I don’t get to taste until late at night when my daughter is in bed. Priorities are always family first.
I tasted roughly the same notes. It’s like the assorted box of chocolates. I don’t know if life is like a box of chocolates but Jack Daniel’s is for sure!😂
Coy hill was really a blessing. Hazmat whiskey full of flavors. Made me appreciate jack daniels again
Great video Fred! My favorite is the Single Barrel Barrel proof Rye. This Rye is my favorite Rye at the moment, and is absolutely an incredible pour!
I’ve really only gotten into bourbon and whiskey in the last couple years. Love the single malt (it’s a travel exclusive at 1L right now I think) as a daily sipper. The SBBP is absolutely fantastic for the price point.

My favorite is the Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye. So good!
Right on man! Loved my bottle

Jack SB BP is it for me. It's readily available and affordable too
As far as favorite, the Heritage TB Rye is unbelievable! The 10yr and 12yr are tops for me as well (never had CH 😢). Readily available the SBBP, sour mash and BIB Rye are fantastic.

I just got a bottle for $80 in a bourbon lottery in Wisconsin. I’m looking forward to cracking it open with my Dad this Sunday. 🥃

Highly recommend the BiB and BiB Rye, $35 and they're super good. I liked the triple mash and I like the BiB but I love the BiB Rye.
@@markcalhoun8219 Those are both very good as well. And I loved the 2023 SR Twice Barreled Rye. Just wish the SRs were easier to find.
I liked the previous 2 batches but JD12 is on another level! It surpassed Stagg 16 as my shelf favorite! ❤️
I like the standard barrel proof releases from them. Haven't been able to try any of the twice barreled stuff or single malt. I do like Triple Malt quite a bit. I love the SBBP and triple mash as well. The Bonded is another favorite of mine.
Love the tangents - they're a big reason why I watch. My favorite is the SBBP Rye. Haven't had the 10 or 12 though.

My favorite is the 12 year batch 1. Love it.
MSRP for the 10 is $80 and the 12 is $100. Those prices you mentioned for the most part are secondary. Cheers Fred!
Yeah let me know where you find it at magical SRP...
You don't see knob creek 12 year sitting on the secondary market for $300-400. There's no reason why Jack Daniels can't do whatever knob creek is doing.
@@BigBadJerryRogers distilleries dont control secondary prices..out of their hands
I bought 2 10yr and 1 12yr. At SRP in January no less @@BuckMcAntlerson
@@BigBadJerryRogersIn my market I have seen Jack 12 more than Knob 12.

The history and background info is what I’m here for! Great channel
Thank you for the history leading up to these releases! Also thank you for justifying what will be my future purchases as I come across these bottles at a reasonable price!
The review i was waiting for!! Thanks Fred!
Yeahhhhhh
Coy Hill and heritage twice barreled rye. Also love 12 year.
I’m absolutely in love with Coy Hill, I’ll be sad when my last two bottles are gone!
Love the history! Don’t ever ever stop but keep the reviews coming!
Didn’t Jack Daniels bonded win Whiskey Advocate “ Whiskey of the year “ a couple years ago
I was thinking that too! Guess he doesn’t read Whiskey Advocate! 😂
Well I forgot. Haha. I was their lead American whiskey reviewer awhile back… in the long long ago
barrel-proof Rye! I have almost all JD (not allocated) but this Rye BF is something else!
Very hard to chose. But for me, It's Coy Hill. Luckily i have several hazmats. But Dang, seems all the special stuff is just flat delicious .
That 2020 heritage rye forever changed my opinion of the “new” Jack - great stuff coming out of Tennessee
Batch three is the only Jack 10 year I’ve been able to find at a reasonable price. Really enjoyable
I wish these were available at MSRP
I used to drive up to Jack Daniels when I lived in Atlanta and I got the first couple batches of rye aged and unaged and hopefully they'll only go up in value cuz I tasted a few of them and they were great
My favorite is your single barrel pick for Marzipan!
Still trying to get a single barrel barrel proof rye lol. Love the bourbon and want the rye. Want the 10 and 12 yr of course
For an affordable price, I enjoy the triple mash. The Sinatra is great too.
Coy Hill was my favorite, followed by the JD12 batch 1 and I really like the JD SBBS Rye
I've not had the JD 10 but I recently had JD 12 which everyone says is better and certainly costs even more. Love the Jasper Daniel’s. JD12 is my favorite.
I really liked the SBBP haven’t opened the rye yet.

My favourite JD is Coy Hill. Not far behind it though is a SBBP store pick that is phenomenal.

Awesome video. History part is great and I totally understand you about dad part 💪🏻
For availability, JD barrel proof is just so damn good
Ive had some great barrel proof single barrels over the years. Haven’t had the 10 or 12 year tho
Sour mash - barrel strength rye
Fred, where is that JD hazmat bourye you teased us with? Am I the only person who saw that??
Btw, whatever you've done with the camera looks much better.
This is indicative of the needed market correction. So many great choices, it’s difficult to justify the price
Just paid $299 for 12 years, and not worth it. But I have no regrets, it's still a good pour. Barrelproof is a staple everyday drinker for me, though.
Bought several bottles of 12 year (with lots of hard searching and cash negotiations, mind you) for $175-200 each. It's probably my favorite whiskey 🥃.
Haven’t had jd12 yet. But my fav has been the jdbf rye, jd10, and jdbf. Hopefully this yr I can find that jd12 for reasonable price.
Cheers! JD12 is amazing, wishing I had another bottle. Hopefully I can get one this year again.
I enjoy the 10 year but for the money and availability I prefer the single barrel line.
My favorite so far has been the SBBP rye. I also enjoy the triple mash for its affordability. I saw a bottle of the JD 12 in phoenix going for $500 last week and had to pass

JDSBBS Rye is one of my go tos.
Fred, you need to improve the mic. Audio is fair for a outstanding whiskey tuber! I love JD12 b1. Haven’t found any JD10’s. But do love my JD SBBPR.
The 2020 Heritage rye and the new barrel proof Rye that came out last year really blew me away. It's amazing to me that I think JD ryes are better then their bourbon... even though their bourbons are amazing.
Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Select Rye is so delicious!
Jack 12, Jack 10, Barrel Strength SiB Rye, Barrel proof SiB bourbon. Give me all the Jack
Single barrel proof is my favorite
JD12 B1 at MSRP can't be beat. I really liked JD10 B2 but the 2023 Rye's are equally tasty.
JD12 but honestly, JDSBBPR is the champ.

Twice barreled rye is their best
Its the jd sbbp rye for me. I like it better than their sbbp bourbon, which is of course still good. Cant find their 10 or 12 year unfortunately
Barrel proof rye #1, followed by the barrel proof whiskey.
Jack 12 year is my favorite
Yikes. I paid 90 bucks here in Cleveland. 😮
Triple mash is awesome
Single barrel Barrel proof 132.4 proof
Who sells the most bourbon/whiskey?
Jack Daniel's SBBP @ 131.6 🥰🤤🤤
The Rye and of course Coy Hill
New Camera?
JD10 batch 3 was a letdown compared to the others
Allocated Jack needs Allocated Coke to truly shine 🤷🏼♂
Omg. Hilarious
Haha
Would that be Mexican Coke?
The new allocated Coke product just hitting the market right now is Coke Spiced. It’s a raspberry spice flavor that may or may not work with JD.
@@Puckhead91it might be better with the JD SBBP Rye or the JD BiB Rye
Coy Hill baby!
Haven’t had any of the real hard to find, SBBP Rye is great, better than the Bourbon version which is also a hitter.
Jack Daniel’s 12 year Batch 1 🥃
100 proof single barrell from Puerto Vallarta duty free (silver label)
Old school Jack Black!
